Embarrassing!

I ordered a "medium" flower arrangement. The total came to $78. The bouquet was so small that I was embarrassed that I sent it. It would have been better to send nothing at all. Overpriced and underperforming.

Decepitve and horrible. Overcharged and flowers not delivered!

I ordered a bouquet to be delievered same day. I was lead to believe from the last screen that my order cost $42 due to a $50 rebate. Then, I was emailed a receipt that noted my card was charged $92! I immediately worked to cancel my order (via phone and email) and was unable to speak with a real person. Additionally, my flowers even weren't delivered! They offered me (via a form letter extolling the virtues of their customer service) two $50 vouchers to spend on their site. But not on the same transaction. No thanks, guys. This whole experience was horrible. Now, almost 24 hours later and still no response from a real person, I will just be disputing the charges to my credit card company. Buyer beware.

Never again

I ordered a homecoming bouquet, with balloon and card etc. They charge for everything and did not deliver even though I paid an additional $10 for express shipping. Really, $4 for the enclosure card is ridiculous. If you are ordering, go with one of the big names, not some fly by night operation like this one. BEWARE!!!!

BUYERS BEWARE!

This "company" has taken me more than once-first by tacking on all sorts of ridiculous fees which resulted in a floral arrangement priced at less than $30.00 being well over $153.00 when I clicked to pay via PayPal. I was horrified, but by then I was unable to stop the payment which now included fees that were not shown to me prior to clicking to pay. Adding insult to injury was the flowers NEVER arrived! Not same day, or any day for that matter.
I was able to speak on the phone with a representative who claimed the flowers could't be delivered same day because there was no florist in that area, yet although I receive a couple of emails a day from this company hawking more of the same, they didn't email me to let me know a paid order scheduled for a special day were never sent!? Before I could finish telling the phone rep the name of the local florist which is several states away from us, but who I had used in the past for the same friend, the rep finished the name of that local florist for me. Next, I was told I would be receiving a refund, and a special gift certificate, but what arrived was via email & nothing but more fraudulent spam, as far as I am concerned. Instead of a refund, or even an actual gift certificate, what learned the hard way was that I received nothing more than a sneaky way to get me to spend another ridiculous, overpriced sum of money with this same florist. Sure enough, again when checking out via PayPal the cost of an arrangement which was listed for under $30.00 again rang out to an astounding, pricey sum that was well over $125.00! I hardly expected my "refund" to cost me more money bu it did-twice. Had I been on my game in time, I could have contacted PayPal and the Credit Card company I used via PayPal to request a charge back, which would have insured I received my refund.
All I can say at this point is to read all the comments below & use caution if you decide to buy from the FDE company. The prices shown under each arrangement seem to have any specials you may think you have already built in, while the cost for same day delivery is super high, and even the cost of a card is outrageous. When the myriad of unlisted fees applied to an inexpensive arrangement are added up on check-out, suddenly quadrupling what you had in mind to spend, you may not be happy. I was not.
Do your local FTD florist & yourself a favor. Call them to have your special type of floral arrangement sent. They can get the job done for a reasonable price, and in the unlikely event there may be a problem with your order you can speak with your local florist face to face. Many folks don't realize their local FTD florist can complete the same type of same day floral orders that the FDE online florist advertises as though they were unveiling newly created sliced bread. Hardly. Trust your gut. BUYERS BEWARE!

horrible!!

SCAM scam scam. No point in telling what happened, my story identical to others on here. Only redeeming quality was a kind customer service employee that cancelled my 2nd order and gave me a 100% refund after they first said I would be charged a 30% refund fee. I told them I would dispute the charges if they did that. The customer service lady was the 3rd one I was passed to. The background noise was so loud I could barely hear all 3 times. I was on the phone an hour being passed around. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If I could give them a zero, I would.

Bait and switch scam

If I could give zero stars I would. I had the same experience others here have had. They advertise it's a discounted price but at the last minute tack on fees so that it's full price. This is never fully explained in advance. They fool you into thinking you're getting a 50 dollar rebate, but it's just a store credit so you can come back for more swindling.

The customer service is outsourced and can barely speak English but reads from a script. I called them to ask them to cancel my order and they just told me to send an email. If they do not cancel it, I will have to wait and see if the flowers actually arrive.

They put 5 star reviews all over the site and say they were featured on various media outlets but it's all bogus.

I hope this is not an identity theft scam.

SCAM - BEWARE!

If only I could give zero stars!!!

First, a bait and switch by the website where I almost completed an order for "Same Day" delivery twice, only to be told as I was about to enter credit card info that the flowers I ordered were not available same day.

So, I call the toll-free number and change my order, so that I can get it same day, right? WRONG.

After speaking to Jane twice (note: she is ignorant and supremely unhelpful) and Ashley once and being assured that my SAME DAY DELIVERY to my niece for her birthday - for which I paid extra and which I ordered from them SOLELY because they were able to do same day delivery - was in transit to its destination, the DELIVERY WAS NOT MADE. It's now 9:30 PM PST, and my niece never received her flowers.

Here's an excerpt of the conversation...

ME: I ordered through FDE b/c FDE said they would do a same day delivery. It's almost 6 pm, and the flowers haven't been delivered.

JANE ("Customer Service Rep"): Is there anything else I can helo you with today?

ME: Why yes, Jane. I'd like to know if the flowers are going to be delivered today.

JANE: We'll try our best. If we can't deliver them today, we will deliver them tomorrow. Is there anything else I can help you with?

ME: Yes, I've told you twice that this was a same day order for which I paid same day charges. I'd like to know if the order will be delivered today?

You get the idea.

I am so mad now, reading the reviews from other buyers who've also been scammed by them.

Can't wait to see if/what will arrive tomorrow. GRRR!

Bad, bad, bad

I got to step 2 of the 4 step order process, changed my mind when I saw the $19.99 service charge. (My marked down order of $33.00 totalled out to over $77!?!!) I 'xed' out of my browser, than later that day, found emails from them indicating my 'order' had gone thru, was off to the design centre, etc, etc. I tried phoning, left a message as it was after hours; I tried using the contact form, but it wouldn't send; I emailed the customer service address directly, and never got a reply. AND the order was delivered, I found out after 17 minutes on the phone!!!!! BAD - UNACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE, UNREASONABLE!!!!!!

Disable veteran ripped off by FDE again!

On February 11, 2015, I placed an order with FDE in the amount of $73.37 with the order number BF297-11KS. This was an early order for Valentine’s Day flowers that I placed in order to avoid the inevitable rush and pressure to deliver that florists experience on such days. As of February 15 that order had not been delivered, so I canceled it and asked for my money back. I understand that even with early ordering sometimes things just don’t work out. Naturally I was quite disappointed and very frustrated.
The money was deposited back into my account on the 16th, and foolishly I put my trust back into FDE and submitted another order right away (a belated Valentine’s Day floral arrangement) in the amount of $65.57. That order was delivered successfully, and all was happy in my world with all parties involved being, satisfied.
So why did FDE grab the $73.37 from the original February 11, 2015, order that was canceled and refunded back to me out of my bank account on March 4? That is the date that they submitted a claim against my bank account. I had no idea this had been done. Shame on me for not checking my account statement more often, but I knew I was broke (again) so I wasn’t really concerned. There was a deposit made to my account on March 12, and $73.37 was immediately grabbed up by FDE under the pretense that I owed them the $73.37 from the original order I placed on February 11. Once again that order was canceled, and the money refunded which I used to place a second order of $65.57. That should have been the end of it, but it wasn’t.
All I ever got from FDE from February 16 to this date are reminders that I had a $51.27 Merchandise Credit that was going to expire “Tonight”, and I get those every day. There was absolutely no communication or notification from FDE that there was a $73.37 (supposedly) outstanding debt of mine. There was no indication whatsoever that they were going to snatch that money out of my account (which is something that I was shocked to learn could be done by merchants). Had FDE notified me in any way that there was an issue with one of my orders I would have had it straightened out and I wouldn’t have to be going through the stress of dealing with this company again. Stay far, far away from FDE. They are unscrupulous, deceitful, dishonest, and just plain rotten company; and I should have known better than to trust them again after the first time they tried to rip me off, but I used to live in Michigan, and I was just trying to be loyal to a Michigan company. I am a disabled veteran on a very small fixed pension, and I sure don’t need flower companies ripping me off.
I am demanding a full refund of $73.37. I have emails and bank statements to prove that that order was canceled and that amount of money was refunded back into my account. FDE is not entitled to it, they did not deliver the flowers, and they did not hold up their end of the contract. It’s befuddling to me, because they did give me my money back, so why do they want to try and get it back again?
I am expecting (again) a full refund within three business days of the receipt of this message.

This place is a rip-off!

These people charge $30 in fees and charge and additional $5.00 to deliver the next day (although they flaunt same-day service). Ignore their supposed savings. They will charge you far more.

These people have no more scruples than some of the worst frauds on the internet.

All kinds of pop ups, playing games with discount offers that ended up as charges anyway. Didn't see the same price on any of they're billing forms. They waited till they got they're grubby little hands on my money to finally give a confirmation which I was unable to edit. They used the recipient's tel # for my phone # but I was unable to make the change. I hope all these bad ratings drive these cheats out of business.

WORST EVER

DO NOT USE FDE! They delivered dead bouquet of roses. I order mini rose plant. emailed customer service twice, sent pic of dead roses. never heard back. called customer service, on hold for 30 minutes. was finally told would be transferred to corporate office. never was. spend over $80.00 for dead roses. Horrible! the rose bush I ordered was for a friend who's brother died!

Horrible quality, value, and customer service.

My husband ordered me what was supposed to be a beautiful sunflower bouquet to be delivered on Valentine's Day. The flowers were delivered on Valentine's Day afternoon and even though they were nice, the bouquet was small and there were absolutely no sunflowers in the bouquet. Two days later, the flowers died. Even though they had plenty of water they wilted and dropped hours after they arrived. The total bill for this "sunflower bouquet" was $118 AFTER a $50 coupon he applied to the order. There was a handling fee, a vase fee, a delivery fee, and a bunch of other stupid add-ons to the bill. When I attempted to contact them with my concerns about the quality of the flowers, I got no response. As of today, still no response. Don't use this company. It's a scam.

False advertising, deceptive business model

Oh geez where to begin. Well first of all received a "50 dollar" coupon just from google searching, seemed nice. However every time I moved the mouse in the vicinity of the top of the page a popup occurred asking if I want to save another $40 dollars. Its a hassle to actually be able to close this popup and when I did it took me back to the main page each time causing me to start my search over. The thing was if I activate this coupon it erased the $50 dollar discount I already had (by design of course).

The real problem arises in the fact that a $36 dollar advertised price for the item I wanted became $89 dollars after "delivery fee" "processing fee" "handling fee" and "service fee." Literally. The BIGGEST issue is the item I purchased with PREMIUM upgrade selected pictured 12 roses. I was sure to have my wife send me a pic of what she actually got. Guess what... FIVE ROSES. Five. They could not even fulfill half of what was advertised. $89 dollars for 5 roses.
Man I am a fool. There were enough red flags in the ordering process that I should have known better but this is exactly how they make money. They know there are occasions where someone just simply NEEDS flowers. Gives them lots of power to extort you. And their "5 star" average rating advertised on their website. BOGUS. Search reviews anywhere else such as here and you will see 1 star average every time. Complete scam. Customer service is non-existent trust me I tried. Their disclaimer at the bottom is pretty fun to read. Good luck getting any type of discount for un-delivered or faulty item.

Damn scam

For most products and services I will search for reviews from previous customers. However, I did not for this company. They are without a doubt, a scam. Defective Web page, hanging up on customers, providing little to no information on where the order was sent in emails, overcharging, charging ridiculous hidden fees, and late if ever delivery. I paid for the 4 hour express delivery.... On top of a same day delivery... Which expired 2 hours ago. And from what I hear I can expect a typical yard plant ensemble. A $115 yard plant ensemble.

This company is a BIG FAT JOKE!! The plant I ordered for my grandfathers funeral did not make it in time. I never did get the "The Best Value" Peace Plant. What was sent after the funeral was over was this hideous orange floral arrangement that looked like a kindergarten kid just threw together. it was so embarrassing! I tried calling them and they will not refund my money back. I paid $76 Dollars for this Peace plant and got an ungly orange floral arrangemnet that was not even worth 1/2 of that. I would not have paid $10 for what was sent!!! This company needs to be investigated and SHUT DOWN!!!! They are scamming thousands of people!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

Worst experience ever.

I wanted to order a funeral arrangement. Completed online form and was rejected because I didn't list a "second recipient". Ain't but one dead guy. Entered him as second; got rejected because it was decided his name was "invalid". Took to ordering by phone and was assured delivery for later that day. Now three days later, get an email saying my account will be credited because delivery didn't happen. Apparently I'm to be consoled with the $50 off rebate/promo offer on my next order. Rest assured that I will NEVER be able to take advantage of this offer because I will NEVER use this bogus outfit again. I gave this one star because I wasn't given the option of none.
