The experience in setting up Family Tree and ding self searches was easy and intuitive. The hints given after setting up the tree were invaluable in finding specific data points for our ancestors, something I was having difficulty doing when searching on my own. I will convert the free trial to a full subscription due to such a positive experience.

Great job Findmypast
I've been a findmypast subscriber for many years. They have some really good record collections. I really like that they give you the Friday update on what's new, makes Friday's that bit more special. I find their searching ability really good for narrowing down records. Very user friendly and accurate. I'm loving the new features when you create a new family tree. The discovery is very good and useful. I also really like the look and feel of the family tree. Very nice design.

They give great hints, It would be good if it was cheaper for Senior citizens It's tough paying with only a state pension to keep you going.

Searching newspapers is unsatisfactory…
Searching newspapers is unsatisfactory - often search terms not showing in results and/or relevant text is not highlighted on page so the whole newspaper page has to be manually searched for the relevant word

If you were to upgrade to Pro you would have worldwide access and newspapers included in your subscription or the Premium package includes the 1921 Census on top of everything else.

Finding it difficult to navigate
Finding it difficult to navigate. Not getting results and when I click to view record am told I need a subscription but no indication where to go to subscribe. Very impressed with some parts.

I understand world membership being extra but having been a subscriber for a number of years I think long term subscribes should have a number of worldwide records free (when you have used them for that year they are gone)

The cost of using this site is explained in full pre purchase. the advanced search bar is brilliant for narrowing a search to a pacific group, record type etc.

Find my pass is a great app especially for beginners in genealogy however it's very much subscription centered as you cannot access lots of Records without the needs description

Finding maternal ancestors is somewhat difficult as I only have my grandmothers name and marriage certificate, unable to trace her in Ireland as there are too many with the same name , with FMPs access to bmds I’m hoping I’ll be successful in my search
