Mansfield office - deeply disappointing. Solicitors is not an easy job, but they need to put themselves together or hire more senior staff. I will not name staff involved as that's not my intent. Information shared is disperse via app OR emails (good luck trying to find if you OR your other half were copied in), junior staff learning how to deal with clients (once we were told AI edited emails were not relevant - I wrote it and sinfully used AI to polish it off), money held for the building management company that hasn't been paid yet after completion, incorrect responses rushed via email that contradicted the TA6 form. The house was purchased by pressure of a long chain, but there's still a lot of information missing from the vendors which we'll likely never going to get. I don't normally write reviews but we were underrepresented. Do not recommend.

Smooth process from start to finish but…
Smooth process from start to finish but would have liked to have seen our solicitors in person. Only downside was that everything was done via email and we were not always able to contact either Ross or Amber when we phone but they did always ring us back.
The handover of the property was a bit disappointing, communication on wether monies had gone through was a bit hit and miss but this was not just down to Fidler and Pepper it was lack of communication from Charles church aswell. Over all it was an ok process

Excellent work from the Remortgage department
Belinda Clarke and Annie Castledine from Remortgage Department did a really fantastic job.
Every interaction with the team, has been exceptionally efficient. They consistently let me know in advance what would be needed, so I could prepare without any last‑minute stress.
Whenever they anticipated that I might have questions, they placed a direct contact number in the most visible spot so no endless phone lines, no automated systems, no being passed around.
I never had to chase for updates. They did most of the work for the Remortgage. While juggling work, childcare, and everyday responsibilities myself, they turned what could have been a highly stressful process into something organised, manageable, and reassuring.

Prompt service
Great solicitors. Process of my remortgage was quick and seamless. Timely updates and responses back to queries were prompt. However when a service is completely online misinterpretations can occur.
One issue was my intention to pay £5k off my mortgage was seen as a mortgage shortfall and a charge of £25 added to my fees for fund verifications. This could have been avoided by a phone call to ask me about this and could have saved me this money and the solicitors the time.

Left me in tears
Answered phone calls with a sigh and, when I was unwell and struggled to read out a card number they were extremely impatient and were sharp with me and said ‘you haven’t read the right number out then’ because I was coughing. I cried after I got off the phone because they made me feel intimidated and stupid. They never responded in a timely manner but chased me relentlessly in a rude way and were again sharp and unhelpful when they did with no clear explanation. Forwarded me emails with their previous chains in them and the subject lines were rude. It was a very stressful and unpleasant experience which my solicitor agreed with. They added in many costs that weren’t explained to me and repeatedly asked me for the same information and booked surveys that never happened . The only email I received longer than two lines and with any politeness and warmth was the one asking me to fill in the survey rating them and naming them… so Chloe and Gabrielle, I had an awful experience.

Not even worth one star
Not even worth one star. The worst service I have ever received. would stay away from these solicitors if you are selling or buying a property. they don’t reply to emails it takes days and days to them to reply to any queries which will result in you’re house move being delayed and delayed time and time again purely from them just no responding to clients or solicitors. Worst solicitors I have ever known stay away from them if you want to actually go ahead with a house move.
