I had seen counterfeits of my work used on so many different products for years and years, on Amazon, eBay, Shein, and many other websites. I assumed this was something I had no power over and didn't ever expect to be able to do anything about it. I thought it would be impossible. That is probably why I was initially very sceptical about the proposition from Edwin James IP - when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. However I contacted an artist who was quoted on their website, and they had no qualms in recommending their services. I went ahead and have been very impressed with the whole team - always friendly and helpful, and I've been kept well up to date.

I'm editing this review today, as I just received my settlement money. I am absolutely staggered - the amount has far surpassed my expectations - it hasn't sunk in yet!

I was super stressed out all the time by the theft of my art online! There was really no way that I could tackle the volume of theft. Even when I tried I could not get it taken down. I was contacted by Edwin James IP approximately 5 years ago. Since then, I have made a decent revenue from legal action against the art thieves and my art thefts are near 0. The whole experience has taken a lot of stress out of my life. I have nothing negative to say.

For many years I sold my designs on stock platforms like Shutterstock and Adobe Stock, which led to a huge number of license infringements. Edwin James contacted me after finding unauthorized use of my top artworks in China. We started working together, and they uncovered many more infringements and took those cases on.

After a year of work, the cases were closed and I received my payment. Working with their lawyers also showed me how unreliable stock platforms can be, and how many companies actually want to use my work. Edwin James offer the services of combatting the misuse of IP for artists. They contacted me to let me know that an illustration of mine had been used by a third party to sell products on Amazon. It was a ten year old illustration, and I wasn't that interested in pursuing it, so I did not reply. Since then I have had north of fifty emails, DMs on Instagram and today cold-calls. After this I asked them to stop, and have had another three emails.

I appreciate they might be offering a 'valuable service' to artists, but I also reserve the right to say 'no thanks' and not then be hounded about it. This review is not a reflection on their skills and services they advertise but their endless harrassment to get clients. It's not appreciated and it reflects badly on them as a company.
