Outstanding Service from Eco Vision and Engineer Robert Bilik! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I had an excellent experience with Eco Vision from start to finish. Their customer service was professional, responsive, and the entire upgrading process was smooth and hassle-free.

A special thank you to the engineer, Mr. Robert Bilik, who carried out the upgrading 4G meter on my solar panel system. He was punctual, highly knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. He worked efficiently, was very thorough, and made sure the system was performing at its best before leaving. His professionalism, attention to detail, and friendly attitude were truly outstanding.

I am extremely satisfied with the service provided by Eco Vision and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and professional solar panel maintenance. Thank you, Eco Vision, and especially Mr. Robert Bilik, for the excellent service!

My experience with Ecovision has been…Awful

My experience with Ecovision has been extremely disappointing and has caused me significant financial loss and unnecessary stress.

As part of my remortgage, a Deed of Variation relating to my solar panels was signed and lodged with the Land Registry on 29 May. The Land Registry subsequently requested a simple Power of Attorney from Ecovision to confirm the legal authority of the person who signed the document.

Over the past month, I have received multiple assurances by both email and telephone that this document would be provided. Despite these repeated promises, nothing has been delivered, and my remortgage remains on hold.

As a direct result of Ecovision's failure to provide the requested documentation, I have been forced onto my lender's Standard Variable Rate. Every single day this delay continues, I incur further financial losses through higher mortgage interest. I have also had to pay thousands of pounds in additional solicitor's fees, all because of a delay that was entirely outside my control.

What has been most frustrating is not simply the delay itself, but the repeated promises that the issue would be resolved, only for no action to follow. I have spent countless hours chasing updates, making telephone calls and sending emails, yet there has been little sense of urgency or accountability.

I have retained all email correspondence and evidence of the assurances given by Ecovision.

I sincerely hope the company reviews its internal processes and customer service standards, as no customer should have to endure ongoing financial loss and stress due to avoidable delays in providing essential legal documentation.

Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend Ecovision.
I wonder how this company even operates - it's just like a rogue company running customer service where people make empty promises and don't follow up ;

Useless

We received a letter from them last September saying there was a fault with our solar panels & to ring for an appointment for their engineer to visit. I phoned straight away. No answer & their voicemail was full so couldn’t leave a message. E-mailed & they replied saying there wasn’t an engineer in our area but it was on the priority list. It’s now nearly the end of June & they are still making excuses. We are OAP’s, not in good health & are really worried especially as there have been incidents of faulty solar panels catching on fire. We are in Scotland but they shouldn’t install panels they cannot, or will not, service.

Gareth was a star

Gareth arrived promptly and was friendly from the off. He was efficient and explained what he was doing to someone who didn’t have a clue! Would happily have him come back to do work again.

Unimpressed

We inherited leased solar panels when we bought our house. Ecovision have been out to us twice in 6 years. How is this checking and maintaining the system? The last visit they noted the fuse installed over 10 years ago is wrong which the technician said would be causing our electrics to fuse/blow.
We have pigeons living under the panels and have done for the last year at least. Again this was noted by the technician who mentioned the panels would not be efficient due to the amount of bird mess on the panels. Pigeon noise wakes us up and eggs fall all over our drive onto the cars. Ecovision have kept us waiting for the owners approval and want us to pay £900, well over half the expense of cleaning and installing mesh. We also have to cover the cost of hiring out scaffolding. I don't understand why a company who works on a roof would not have scaffolding? We have asked for the cost of buying out of the lease and they want over £10K - well over the cost of installing brand new panels including a battery. Not impressed with the service and unable to get out of the situation.

We understand your concerns regarding the number of site visits carried out since you purchased the property, the pigeon activity beneath the panels, the electrical recommendations identified during a recent inspection and the lease buyout valuation.

It is important to clarify that Ecovision acts as the maintenance and asset management provider for the solar PV system on behalf of the system owner. Whilst we monitor system performance, investigate faults and arrange maintenance works, we do not own the solar panels, determine lease buyout valuations or approve expenditure on behalf of the system owner.

With regard to maintenance, the solar PV system is remotely monitored and site attendance is generally arranged where faults, safety concerns or performance issues are identified. Having reviewed the account, the system continues to operate and generate as expected. Whilst we appreciate that only seeing engineers attend on a limited number of occasions may create the impression that the system is not being maintained, remote monitoring allows us to identify and respond to issues without the need for routine site visits.

Following a recent engineering inspection, an electrical observation was identified and recommendations were made to improve the current installation. This was a finding from the recent inspection and was subsequently escalated for review. We can confirm that this matter is now being progressed and a member of our team will contact you this week to arrange a suitable appointment.

We also understand the concerns raised regarding pigeons nesting beneath the panels and the impact this is having on your property. Following your enquiry, quotations were obtained and requests were submitted to the system owner for consideration. However, as these works fall outside of standard maintenance obligations, any decision regarding approval or funding rests with the system owner rather than Ecovision. Whilst we have continued to seek updates and advocate on your behalf, we are unable to authorise these works ourselves.

With regard to the lease buyout figure, Ecovision does not determine or calculate buyout valuations. Any buyout value is set by the system owner in accordance with the lease agreement, and our role is limited to obtaining and communicating that information upon request.

We appreciate that the timescales involved in reviewing these matters may not have met your expectations and understand the frustration this has caused. We remain committed to supporting our customers, progressing matters within our remit and providing updates as information becomes available.

I wouldn't award them any stars at all…

I wouldn't award them any stars at all if I had the option to. Twice this year already my solar PV system has failed and trying to get an engineer out to repair them is like trying to win the lottery. SEVEN weeks is the minimum time I've be given for an engineer visit and, even then, it's likely that the visit will be cancelled. When you request compensation for the additional cost of using power from the grid they request you put it in an email which they then don't answer. My advice to anyone is look elsewhere as these cowboys can't be trusted.

Solar PV electrical upgrade.

We, as arranged, had an engineer by the name of Gareth visit to do an electrical installation. This gentleman was a very nice and courteous person, he explained the work he had to carry out, very much someone to converse with, he also tidied up when he finished. Very pleased.

Be aware of this company

Be aware of this company. We've been trying to buy a house since November and they're now saying they don't have a legal team to write documents for our lender. They're literally stopping us buying and we can't wait much longer as the interest rates are going to go up so I've being financially affected for this and other reasons

We are not the system owner and do not hold legal ownership of the asset. As a result, any legal documentation, approvals, or decisions relating to the system must be reviewed and authorised by the panel owner.

We understand how important timescales are when progressing a property purchase, particularly in the current climate. Where documentation is required by lenders or solicitors, these requests are passed to the relevant asset owner for review, and timeframes can vary depending on their internal processes.

We appreciate this may not always align with the pace of a property transaction, and we’re sorry for any delays this has caused.

Your solicitor is best placed to progress this on your behalf and can contact us directly for any updates. We will continue to support by providing the latest status of requests as they progress with the panel owner

Generation Meter Upgrade

Had one of Ecovisions engineers come out today to upgrade our current generation meter to a 4G meter. Robert Bilik called prior to advise us he would be arriving in approximately an hour. Not only did he replace the meter, but he also identified another fault in our wiring, caused by a previous companies engineer, which he immediately fixed. We are extremely happy with the service provided.

Best customer service from LYNNE

I would like to give a feedback about Lynne dealing with my complaint. She is very friendly and professional. Finally someone who is fit for her job. After-Service is VERY POOR

After-Service is VERY POOR

Extreme dissatisfaction with the ongoing issues regarding my solar panel system and the poor level of service I have received.

My solar panels have been non-functional since October 2025, and despite numerous attempts to resolve this, I still do not have a date for a resolution.

Engineer visits arranged and confirmed multiple times for a date that apparently did not exist on the system (resulting in wasted day of my annual leave)

Engineer previously confirmed that all connections under the panels should be secure and not exposed to the elements. We counted more that x10 connections lose and exposed. My house's power has been tripping, which I now suspect is linked to the solar panel fault.

I have contacted ECOVision multiple times and have been promised callbacks and updates that never materialize. I am constantly forced to chase the team for information.

While their hold messaging boasts about winning the 2025 Solar & Storage Operations & Management award, my experience suggests a significant failure in your after-sales maintenance and customer service.

My solar panels have not been working since Oct 2025 - so whats the point of having them?

having 100s/1000s of installs is pointless if you do not have the means to support them

Thank you for providing the additional information, and I’m very sorry to hear about your experience to date. I fully appreciate how frustrating this situation must be, particularly given the length of time your system has been non-operational and the inconvenience caused by missed appointments.

I have now reviewed your account in detail. At present, we are awaiting formal approval from the panel owners to proceed with the remedial works required to restore your system. As the appointed maintenance provider, we are responsible for identifying faults and recommending the necessary works; however, authorisation to proceed sits with the asset owner in line with the terms of the system agreement.

That said, I completely recognise that the delays and lack of clear communication you’ve experienced are not acceptable. I have escalated your case to our Account Management team as a priority to urgently follow up with the panel owners and push for a resolution. We will also review the issues you’ve raised regarding previous appointments and communication failures internally.

In the meantime, I would strongly advise that if your household electrics are continuing to trip, you contact a qualified electrician to ensure your home remains safe. If you are able to provide any additional details or reports relating to this, I will ensure these are included in our escalation.
