Everytime I've purchased new games from eb games they come almost as bad as a preowned, the case has damage, there's smudges all over the disk

Thought it would be different after not using them for so long but low and behold, during the black Friday sales I buy and guess what, the games are just like preowned, why pay preowned prices when you can buy at full price, now your thinking eb games

The worst part is some games are exclusive at eb games meaning I'll have to buy from them again in the near future

Save yourself the trouble and buy from Amazon Australia, first they're cheaper than eb games for most games, second if you have prime you get free shipping instead of $20 dollar shipping majority of the time from eb game, also the games are fresh packed and have no way to lie about being "New"

Unfortunately the lowest rating you can give is 1 star, they don't deserve that high a rating.

The EB Games store in our city closed and the nearest one is a 45 minute drive one way from me. An individual in that store suggested I pre-order future games online as the delivery was within a couple of days after release date so I pre-ordered Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War over a month before the release date.

Canada Post says the game wasn't sent to them until more than a week after the release date and the expected delivery date now is November 26th., over two weeks after release date, if it arrives then.

All I got from EB Games was a long run around with them not accepting responsibility and constantly lying about when the game was shipped so I would highly recommend anyone considering shopping at EB Games for any products they handle to find alternate ways of getting their items.

I realize COVID-19 has slowed things down but after dealing with EB Games over this issue I personally find they're not a reputable honest company and they absolutely will not get anymore of my business. The best that can come of these complaints from people is that they either improve their service and business practices or go out of business and make way for someone more reputable.

I have no good feedback for eb games. I purchased the games I was looking for from multiple stores online all to be emailed or in one case called to tell me they don't have the games. This is in spite of them being available online for purchase from those stores which stated they had the games. This occured at grandview corners, strawberry hill, metrotown, guilford and two other stores. I finally then had to purchase a new version of the game for $20 more as they playd version seemed to be unobtainable unless shipped from a store several hours away in the province which EB games was unwilling to do. Then upon purchasing a new version of the game I was informed by two stores it was also unavailable and not in either of the stores that said they had it online a day or two later after I had purchased it. Finally I had to purchase a new version of the game from a store and hour swys from me which ended up actually having the game and had to purchase the other game in the series from a completely different store located a ways away too. After checking on amazon I see I could now purchase both games with no hassle for the same price for one game and a cheaper price for the other and have them shipped to my house and would've received them by the end of the week and I actually would've saved a week and a half of my time and saved my gas driving around and dealing with your terrible stores. Essentially, absolutely horrible service all around.

tried to order my consol and now it pops up only with a bundle, thats dirty. it said 499 for digital now its a bundle.. and of course its now sold out i want a rain check at the very least if not ill take my buisness somewheres else. the p3, ps4, and now the ps5 issues with your site. i am beyond fusterated with eb games. i waited like everyone else then found out last second i had to pay more to get the product. i will be doing a full review on eb games and i will put all my info i have on your store ratings'

I preordered a special edition game with a statue, 4 months before it was released and paid half the money as a deposit.

Only to be told on the release day that my game was canceled and I had 2 statues waiting.
So now I have to wait a whole week to get the game I preordered 4 months in advance to release!
What a joke!
Did they offer anything in return for the mess up? Nope.

If I was expecting to wait a week or more past the release date than I wouldn’t of bloody ordered it!

And how do you just cancel someones order without notifying them? Why go and change my order without my consent and not notify me???

Worst customer service skills, firstly they screwed up the ps5 pre-order, later send an email stating they've gotten a launch day ps5 for me only to send another email a the next day saying they've screwed up and I didn't get it no real apology just whoops sorry oh well. I cancelled my pre-order as EB pissed me off too much, eventually got credited back and I went and spent $4,000 on a gaming PC from JB HIFi. I will never shop at EB games again, No reply necessary I'm just done.

Tried today 22/9/2020 to preorder the new xbox series x. The eb games website continually crashed. You could only preorder online which I think was stupid. People should have been able to order instore. I rang my local store only to be told there was nothing they could do. I wasted a whole day messing around trying to preorder it. I realise there would have thousands of people trying to buy it. But it is very disappointing. Next time allow people to preorder instore.

Went to preorder the new xbox, was there for the second it ticked over, got to the final cart screen pressed done and it came up with an error occurred, then tried for 5 more mins .... then sold out!

This keeps happening eb every major pre-order. as someone who has spent a LOT of money at eb, probably wont be back.

Absolutely appalling service My son purchased the new 2K21 Mamba Edition and after 24 days is still not able access the additional contents. EB Games say it’s not there problem it is Xbox and until the respond they don’t wish to know about it. The sales consultant is unprofessional and rude in front of other customers. I have written to ACCC for a refund.

I bought a Nintendo switch offline line. They took my money and put it on hold for a week. Nothing but hassle to get my money back. I will never shop here again and i will defriend anyone who does. Get your $#;! Together and your heads out off your @$$ Brutal.

I ordered a ps4 console from EBGames online and got a confirmation email that said I would receive another email when my order shipped, after a week of not hearing back from them I sent an email and waited. A few days later I sent another email as the first email was ignored, after another week I sent another email and canceled my order. I still have not received any response from them. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received and will not be doing business with them again!

They are the pits. Bought a product online that didn’t work. They refused to refund me and simply told me to talk to the manufacturer. These guys are going to go under pretty soon. Avoid them

Disgraceful service or lack thereof ..Locked down in Melbourne, No stock in Victoria, Birthday gift, located one interstate, prepared to pay plus all shipping, they would not send as there was only one left. . Tried to speak with so called customer service, should be "lack of customer service" asked to speak to supervisor as Customer Service representative flatly refused to try to assist, when asked to escalate to a team leader he advised, "No- I wont transfer you..I "can" transfer you to a team leader... but I wont. You can call back if you like..but you will probably get me and I will tell you the same thing...There is no one you can talk to there is nothing you can do ..the answer is NO" I lodged an online complaint and have heard nothing in 10 days..absolutely disgraceful. I have his name, I want to take it further but they don't get back to you

Bought a Conan Exiles PS4 on online store and choose pick up at Chullora branch and got an email from them said game is out of stock... either pick up in other stores (which is 3 hours away) or cancel the order. But the game still show available at Chullora. Spoke to the customer service and no help whatsoever! The game is available but no original case! It a brand new game and no case?? I can understand if it is a preowned version. Conan Exiles PS4 still show available at Chullora. They are so lazy to update their system! Other customers might fall for the same trap! I asked the customer service that i to speak to the manager and she said manager not available.. I think the manager Have no balls to talk to me! Screw up store + bad customer service + no balls manager = Hopeless management
NEVER BUY THE GAME ONLINE!

EB GAMES IS A SCAM!!! I ordered 5 funko pops on their website and it’s been over a month and they NEVER shipped my package. They sent me an email saying it’s shipped but it never did. I contacted the carrier Purolator that EB Games used to ship my item and Purolator said that they never received my package from EB Games and Purolator did an investigation as well and guess what?? Package was never in Purolator’s system after thorough scanning. I asked EB games for a full refund for THEIR SCREW UP and EB GAMES REFUSED to give me my full refund. EB Games is a scam. I lost $47 that i will never get back from EB Games. NEVER ORDER FROM EB GAMES ONLINE!!! THEY ARE SCAMMERS AND THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND THEY WILL NEVER DELIVER YOUR PACKAGE. INSTEAD, THEY SEND YOU A FAKE EMAIL SAYING ITEM IS SHIPPED WHEN IT NEVER DID. Amazon does a better job cuz they always ship my items on time. Highly NOT RECOMMENDED

I bought a controller from them online and it became unusable within 2 weeks. I filed a ticket through their online customer service in mid May and have still not heard from them in regards to my issue. They just sent a generic email 5 weeks later. I've called them a number of times and it always says the service is unavailable. I've contacted one of their stores that is open near me and they couldn't help either. Ridiculous and pathetic. Never shopping there again.

It’s ok but the prices on some things are a little overly priced

what an AWFUL AWFUL EXPERIENCE! i pre-ordered last of us two collectors edition (something that is no longer available anywhere anymore), I used the wrong card for payment, I sent an e-mail a week or so before release and and asked for a way to change my payment method, i got a response, however no where in the email did they actually give a way to change payment method, just a store locator, when game was released the payment failed, I e-mailed them again, the response i got was "we sent you an e-mail already" and they have ignored everything since, i had 10 days to fix payment issue, that was 8 days ago, still no replies, how the heck do they expect me to fix my payment method when i can;t call them (they claim they are too swamped to have phone lines or something like that, i say B. S)and they won;t tell me how to change payment or make a payment at all. I also went in store, USELESS, they have no control, AKA I couldn't even make a payment there.

NEVER pre order or shop here. I likely will not get my product thanks to this stupid mishap, or go on amazon or best buy and pay 100$ more

if EB games does finally get back to me and gets things fixed, I WILL change this review, or delete it, but how i see it, they have very poor customer service

Completely overpriced the VR headset. I know, fault on my behalf for not checking and matching prices, but really? $200 extra, not to mention the $200 more i had to pay for VR hands. Try ebay instead.
