Bought this washing machine several years ago (AWM86D2) because it's UK-made and has a 7-year warranty. It's used nearly every day and has performed faultlessly. I wonder if some of these negative rev... Mehr ansehen

I bought my Ebac washing machine one…
I bought my Ebac washing machine one year ago. I was nervous because I had not heard of Ebac washing machines but the website info was good and the machine is manufactured in the uk and supported by a good warrantee. I am so pleased I bought it. It's been great. It washes better than my previous Bosch and I like the "drum clean" programme. I would not hesitate in recommending this Ebac washing machine to anyone.

Thrilled with my new 8kg ebac washing machine. They have thought of everything AND it's made in the U.K. Very quiet, sturdy construction self cleaning and FREE 7yr guarantee theres confidence in their product. Only discovered it by accident. Gets 5☆ from me.
Disappointed
Didn't do anything for us as after a couple of days running ln smart mode only extracted about 150mls. Not enough for a cup of coffee. Seemed sturdy enough but cant comment on longer term reliability. Return was relatively simple except that the actual refund is still outstanding.
Well done Ebac !
I was having a lot of problems with condensation in the house this year. A family member recommended Ebac dehumidifiers as they have two and are pleased with them. I bought an Argo 18 by Ebac from Argos and placed it in the hallway leaving doors ajar. It's been running for two weeks on the smart sensor and I'm amazed at how much water it's extracted and the condensation is virtually non existent now. There are cheaper makes on the market but from this experience I believe it's worth paying the extra for such an efficient unit. So far I'm very impressed with this product and the fact it's British made is brilliant as I always try and support our industry and workers. Another family member has recently bought an Ebac washing machine and says it's great.
Well done Ebac!
And another thing to add to my small "best thing I've ever bought" list
We have been having horrendous condensation problems especially this Winter. Soaking windows and damp walls. Spoke to a damp proofing company and they advised the Ebac dehumidifier. We decided to order the Ebac 3850e 21L dehumidifier. It arrived at 1.30 pm yesterday. I left it to settle for three hours and switched it on. It's located on the landing. I had high hopes after reading reviews and the way the proofing chap spoke about it, but wasn't expecting wonders and thought windows would still be a bit condensated. Well with EVERY door in the house open we left it to do it's job. From 4pm Wednesday to 8am Thursday.... Water tank nearly full and NO condensation. Windows all dry even downstairs.I worked out that in 8 hours it used about 30p electronic. As long as we have no issues in the future I can honestly say I'm blown away with how good this unit is and that's coming from me who is never impressed 😁

Rang on 17th December about our dehumidifier that has stopped extracting water. Ebac Registered the machine, not done when I bought it, and arranged for it to be collected on the following Monday 21st though apologised that given Christmas was approaching might not be able to turn it round in 7 days. Had an email on 22nd and machine arrived back on the 23rd repaired and working fine! Prior to this I'd say Apple offered the best customer service we've experienced - Ebac would now be the benchmark. Thanks, most impressed.
Not fit for sale
Ok, So screw fix replaced my unit when it failed in one week. (Powerdri xl)
Guess what. Replacement fails. Same problem.
This product is not fit for purpose.
Don't waste your time with ebac.
They claim here that they are keen to help. Not so keen when it comes to dealing directly.
Disappointed
I have an Ebac 2650e dehumidifier
I have an Ebac 2650e dehumidifier, at first it worked fantastically in my old cottage, for about a year.
Then it stopped knocking off when the water container was full and unfortunately I was away for two days and came back to a soaking wet carpet!
I moved it to the kitchen on a hard surface but it failed to function, i.e. no water from the atmosphere and blew out freezing cold air I read the instructions over and tried all the trouble shooting advice, still not working. It was left in the cupboard until this winter when I want on line and rang Ebac. The original guarantee had expired.
I explained the problem to Jay who was lovely, she told me about the £90 service which I agreed to. I was delighted not to have to buy another as it was an expensive item. Jay also registered my unit which I thought I did at the time of purchase!
The pick up service was excellent and as promised the unit was returned seven days later.
I plugged the unit in and wondered why it wasn't working. On inspection I found that the water retainer was missing!
This morning I rang Ebac, spoke to a very helpful assistant, Peter, who apologised and is sending one out by Royal Mail...about FIVE days for delivery, no extra charge.
What I would like to see... when the unit is returned is an inspection sticker to say it has been tested prior to leaving the factory, therefore all necessary bits would be present it would also be traced back to the person who released it for return.
I would also like an explanation about what was wrong with the unit and what the service consisted of. What was renewed/ replaced.
I would also like to see some sort of information about any guarantee that comes with the service, either by
e-mail or with the returned unit.
I was happy that they do not invoice you for 14 days to ensure that the unit is working, its quite old fashioned and trusting, nice. But from a customer confidence point of view could sound like you don't believe in your own servicing system.
I was slightly disappointed that the new water retainer was not sent out by courier, I think that needs improving, 'improve your customer service'.
An email would have been nice to say your unit is now registered with us, also it could contain the customer number you are provided with when returning the item or have a query.
I was very impressed with the fact that the unit is manufactured here, in the UK and I believe in supporting UK businesses.
I was delighted to read about your washing machine, the hot and cold fill especially, I would consider it next time I have too purchase one.
I am spreading the good word, my neighbour also has ebac goods and a friend wanted a new washer. I hope I haven been too hasty in recommending your service to them.
Further review to follow once the Ebac is up and running.
British made and excellent quality
British made and excellent quality. We had to drive across Devon to collect it, and it was missing its manual. A wonderful lady called Pam sent us an emailed version, made sure we received it, and sorted our warranty registration. She then called again the next day to be sure we had it operating correctly. True customer service. What a wonderful product, and person.
Straight from the heart
Straight from the heart, I don't know why any consumer would buy a dehumidifier made by any one other than Ebac. Made in the UK. Made FOR the UK climate. Can use automatic settings or manually bump up for laundry drying. Easy to clean or replace filters. Easy to empty. Quality is excellent. There was a mould problem when we first bought our house. Since running the Ebac, problem solved. We've had 2 units over the past 20 years, and we run them 24/7 - they last and last.
Get yourself an Ebac.
We have just purchased a new…
We have just purchased a new dehumidifier from Ebac. Our home has lots of condensation and I don’t know what we would do without our Ebac Dehumidifer. We have been using Ebac for years and can not recommend them highly enough for the quality of the product, service if anything goes wrong and their customer service staff are always obliging.
The best ever the wife loves it
We have had the ebacAWM86D-2WH washing machine about a month now and must say we are impressed, from its clean looking lines to the easy to read and use control board. You dont have to be a geek to operate the machine its easy pick your program make any personal adjustments ie extra rinse extra spin press the go button and thats it. The machine is that quiet you can hold a conversation even on 1600 spin.We thought the LG was good but this british washer is the best we have ever had and we,ve had a few.Highly recomended
Exceptional poor customer service
Exceptional poor customer service! I have bought an ebac dehumidifier. It leaked leaked almost everyday onto my floor. Called customer service it was still under warranty. They sent me a replacement water drum. It doesn’t seem the correct size for the machine as if it lightly touched the drum moves and the machine switches off. Also leaks on my floor. Due to covid 19 I delayed in calling ebac. Now they tell me it’s out of warranty and I’ll have to pay £90 to send it back to them. Even although this is an ongoing problem from when the machine was under warranty. They told me there is only
one type of water drum so it can’t be the wrong drum. But clearly on their website my model has a white drum. The original white drum leaked where there was a join. ebac won’t take responsibility for a faulty product. Rubbish customer service. Used be to a good reliable company but has gone downhill. With the market flooded with good alternative dehumidifiers I’ll take my custom elsewhere to another company. Extremely disappointed with ebac.
We have had our Ebac 2650e (18 litre)…de-humidifier
We have had our ebac 2650e (18 litre) for a year now and it certainly does everything claimed. Our house is 110 years old and we've had bad condensation problems for years.....soaking wet windows in the morning after cold nights. Mould on walls etc. But since we've been using the ebac all the problems have disappeared. Very, very little condensation (if at all), mould has disappeared and we also use it to dry the washing when we can't hang it up in the garden. It really deserves a 5 star rating. We don't use so much gas for heating as well.
Very poor build quality
Very disappointed with our Ebac 6200 Dehumidifier
First one purchased 2017 failed after a month. To be fair to Ebac they replaced
This one has repeatedly emptied water onto the carpet, is incredibly noisy and vibrating, and is now forming solid ice blocks before overflowing
Ebac offered to repair for £90 with just a 6 month warranty
Seeing so many people who have had the same experience with this model - which I guess is why it is now discontinued - I have decided to just scrap it and buy from another manufacturer who are Which recommended
A real shame as the design of this model was good, and Ebac used to be the byword in reliability
My experience has been ‘top end price for bottom end reliability’
Ignored and possibly lied to!
After a series of problems with this companies dehumidifiers one of their defective machines overfilled and badly damaged our solid oak floor.
All would have been OK if the company had done as they promised but after accepting responsibility and agreeing to pay for the damage the company are now failing to communicate or forward payment as agreed.
The matter has been ongoing since the begining of the year and I have now emailed the head of the company directly but have just been ignored.
Unless payment is received soon I will be forced to take the company to court. I have written proof of the companies offer to pay and will have no problem obtaining a judgement in my favour. It will then cost them more due to court costs and expenses.
Superb product
Superb product, that has saved my bacon on quite a few occasion's.
I work as a service engineer within the double glazing industry, and new double glazing tends to accumulate moisture over the glass internally, due to its efficiency, whilst old window's allow air and moisture to escape, along with the property's heating.
So will always recommend EBAC to customer's.Good build quality, slightly more expensive then a cheapo, but ten time's better.
For once a bloody top British product, built in the UK.
I have two of their dehumidifiers
I have two 2850e dehumidifiers that work flat out in the winter in my Victorian era house and the difference they have made over the years is great.
However the reason for this review is I had one that started icing up after years of faithful service. I called on the off chance they could help and their technical support said the temperature sensor had failed. I thought I was looking at coughing up £250 for a new one but they said for £90 they would repair it. It had some damage to the base and front door so I was worried they wouldn't touch it but said for the £90 they would replace those too! It was picked up a just over a week ago and has just been delivered back (all covered in the £90), fully functional and looking like new.
I wouldn't consider any other manufacturer and the fact that they are British is just icing on the cake!
All good;
Okay, so I've had a washing machine for nearly 3 months and I think it has very useful functions and is quiet.
I am also pretty sure that it has reduced my energy bill too, the smart meter suggests so. Loads of settings and smart modern look, dials and lighting.

Washing machine takes far too long No 75 degree wash bought for 1600 spin but only works on cotton and have to spin the clothes again which takes forever Sorry I bought this Wish I’d kept my old machine Solid machine it need to seriously upgrade the technology It is a clumsy machine. Don’t buy
