Like many other reviewers on here I found Douglas Steers through the Unbiased website.

Justin Davies contacted me initially and then we met a couple of times when he went through all of my options in a very clear calm professional and precise way, which when you are trusting someone with your financial future is all you can ever ask for. There was no promises, just very straightforward sensible advice.

On the back of these discussions I took the decision to transfer my pension over to Douglas Steers less than 3 years ago and in that time the growth my pension has achieved has far exceeded my expectations to the extent that I am now considering retiring far sooner than I ever thought possible.

Even when my pension took a bit of a dip due to world events Justin took the time to call me to reassure me that they were determined to get it back up to the level it was before the dip, and he was good for his word. I thought that call was a really nice touch.

Justin and I spoke again this week as I am considering retiring in the not too distant future and he reassured me about all of my concerns and made it clear that Douglas Steers will be there to advise me at every step of the way. He followed it up with an email explaining all of the scenarios we discussed.

It genuinely feels like he is doing everything possible to ensure I don't have any financial concerns about this next step of my life.

I have been dealing with Danny Gunn who has been consistent. Always keeps in touch and replies to any queries that I have extremely quickly. He came to my home on 3 occasions to go through the process of moving my pensions to a new provider. Explained the fees and ongoing cost. To be honest, I couldn't have wished for a better person to discuss my pensions needs with. I would highly recommend him.

I first contacted Douglas Steers & Co speculatively in the summer of last year. I have been very pleased with the advice and help provided by Henry Steers, who consolidated my many diverse and underperforming pension funds into a single fund which has since performed very well. Henry has been very responsive and professional, offering good investment advice and demonstrating flexibility during an uncertain time for pensions. Over the last 2 years I have drawn down a significant monthly pension, covered all costs and seen the value of the fund increase noticeably. I have now increased the amount of drawdown and considering taking a lump sum for home improvements.
