Nice young chap on phone. However, being asked why I work in a city and live in a totally different postcode as part of the ‘referral’ was very disrespectful.

I took out insurance with Doodlecover…

I took out insurance with Doodlecover expecting a straightforward, reliable service — what I got instead has been an absolute nightmare.

Out of nowhere, they decided to raise my policy premium due to an EU licence issue. No proper explanation, no warning — just a sudden increase that I was expected to simply accept. When I tried to contact them to discuss and negotiate the decision, the experience went from bad to worse.

I was passed around from department to department like I didn't matter, with no one willing to take ownership of my case or give me a straight answer. I spent hours on the phone waiting — hours of my time completely wasted — and to top it all off, they have still not responded or resolved the issue.

The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer care is shocking. I would strongly advise anyone considering Doodlecover to think twice. If something goes wrong, don't expect them to be there for you.

The change to your premium was due to a major change in the recorded driving test pass date which is an important rating factor to your insurer. We did email to explain this at the time but we apologise if this was not clear.

We’re also disappointed to hear about the difficulties you faced when contacting us as this is not the level of service we aim to provide.

Really great experience looking for my cover even though went up a bit when I call had to call them but Theo made it all clear to me about it and he helped helped me out massively and made it all workout great so greatly appreciate his help today

Unfortunately when you inputted your details online you failed to disclose vital information to us. When we sent the new details to the insurer they asked for an additional premium. At this stage you still decided to purchase the quote with us.

Awful

Awful, offering fake low prices on comparison websites. Ring up they don’t honour the “cheap quote” instead have you sat on the phone for an hour then give you a new quote more than what it was. When I even agreed to this, made payment for deposit then the guy says after an hr oh actually can’t honour that policy either as I they don’t honour personal ncb for taxi insurance. Well all this information was truthfully filled out on the form & repeated over the phone to the operator what a waste of time!!!

Just to let everybody know there reply is completely false! Another reason not to use this company liars!

The comparison website asked if I had private car NCB I said yes and correctly entered the right amount of ncbs, I also declared all accidents! LIARS!

Thanks for the feedback - As a result we've investigated this for you.

With taxi insurance you are required to provide like for like no claims bonus. This is because driving a taxi is very different to driving a car for social use. What we can often do is get you an introductory discount for your private car bonus. Having looked at your quote you failed to disclose recent prior accident that meant we could not apply for the introductory discount. Both the recent accident and this removal of the discount resulted in a higher quote.

Again we're sorry you weren’t happy with our new quote however it is essential that you fill in your details accurately to get the correct price first time.

We hope you found affordable insurance elsewhere and think about using us in the future.

Recently took out cover with doddle cover. Had the pleasure of having Jamal take my call he was funny and pleasant throughout the whole 50 minute conversations. Very helpful with everything so 5 stars goes to Jamal.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service. Could not proceed with car insurance online and I got an unexpected phone call the next day from Ross I believe. To cut a long story short he managed to get me the insurance I needed. Would highly recommend.

In all honesty I had cheaper quotes…

In all honesty I had cheaper quotes (not by much) but still. I decided to stay with doddle cover, for the simple fact, there so easy to deal with.phone time been next to nothing and easy to understand agents. I’m happy to pay that little extra for the convenience. Quick, easy and over all really good service.
