This is not a scam site. They have very good customer service. I contacted them three times. One thing to note: if an item is over $2,000, you will need to communicate with FedEx and customs. International shipments also require completing a CBP Form 5106.

First order from Discovery Japan and all went without any issues.
I placed an order for the wrong Fishing reel ,contacted the team at DJ on the same day and order was cancelled .I now have correct item.Japan to UK faster than many eBay sellers in UK.

I have used Discovery Japan twice and they were amazing.
I bought 2 watches at different times of the year and they delivered quickly and in perfect condition each time.

I ordered some painting tools from this website. I paid extra for DHL shipping instead of Fedex. Yet they still shippped via Fedex. Then Fedex asked me to submit a "Toxic Substance Control Act TSCA certification". Waiting for customer service for more than 5 days no response. I think this is a pure website responsibility to clearfy these issues. Till now, it is still not be resloved.

Had my first order, and the delivery started off on the wrong foot, and it turned out it was EMS Japan ( the local shipping company ) mistake. Once Discovery Japan's support team got involved, it was all sorted out. They recalled the shipment and offered alternative solutions to arrange for the delivery. I am extremely happy with how it turned out, with special thanks to Norio from the support team for their support. Will be ordering again as their selection of fishing products is unmatched anywhere else.

Compré un bolígrafo de plata. El bolígrafo llegó con varias rayaduras, algunas muy visibles. Les escribo un email adjuntando fotos donde se observan claramente las rayaduras. Espero un tiempo y no recibo respuesta. Envío varios emails más en diferentes direcciones.
Han pasado varios meses y no recibo respuesta. La peor experiencia de compra por internet que he tenido.

They sent a package via Fedex which was lost; they are now saying that I need to wait fro Fedex to refund them, and then they can issue a refund to me. I am not sure that I will see the money any time soon. Customer service is pretty bad: they should have issue a refund or the ship the watch back ASAP but they did not.

I received my item very promptly. I was made aware that import duty and fees would be applied by FedEx, and as I paid this promptly, my order arrived on the same day of this payment. If I was allowed to give Discovery Japan some useful feedback, I would suggest some improvements to their app. After purchase my 'cart' didn't empty and the link to check my order detail on my confirmation email didn't work. Also the link on the app - to look at my order details - didn't work. Because of this, I did become a little anxious that everything was okay. This is the first order I've ever placed with Discovery Japan, and so with experiencing these broken links, I felt I was sticking my neck out a little. Finally, I do think I paid a little more for my watch than advertised elsewhere, however, I don't mind this so much, as it arrived from Japan - to the South of England - in four days! Excellent.

My first purchase was on October 10th. Ordered taiko drum for the ps5. Paid for the delivery and the product which was less expensive then any other online market site so… took a risk and ordered. Any little detail and status about my order been sent to my email, got fedex track number. Got it to my place at 21th of the month. Overall experience was good. Wish they had more relevant products for me.

I purchased a watch on Discovery Japan and my credit card was charged for the listed price. Seven hours later I received an email saying my order was canceled and the price was now higher. In America we call this bait and switch. Terrible experience and still waiting for the refund. I do not recommend doing business with this company.

I ordered 2 Tamiya models. Roughly $150. About $50 less than ebay. Next morning after processing they tried to charge $867. Add over $100 taxes.

I suggest it is a scam. Once I disputed they randomly offered partial $400 refund. Why?

Regardless I have disputed with Discover and Ebay. They knew this yet send shipping notice. Clearly trying to force me to buy.

I would avoid. Prices are web ads are not what they try to charge and tax? Who gets that?

Been ordering for over a decade from Japan and never an issue until this place.
