SCAM - Stay away from Direct Digital…
Zero star if I could give it. I was approached by Ian Stirland from Direct Digital Advertising, who showed me some pictures of their ads being displayed in the middle of a health clinic's waiting room.
After paying a deposit on the spot with Ian, I decided to cancel the contract next day. But Ian refused to return any of my calls, and their customer service team was extremely rude. They told me that I couldn’t cancel because it was a B2B contract. Instead, they offered to extend the payment plan to 15 months instead of 12 for a one-year contract. In the end, I paid £1,040 and didn’t receive a single client from them.
If you’re considering working with Direct Digital, I strongly advise you to stay away. I really wish I had done some research before signing the contract. £1,040 is a lot of money for a small business.
ZERO STARS : REPORT THEM
Zero Star Review ... A SCAM
Zero Star Review .... DO NOT SIGN ... Experience of this Company informs to believe that all the Bad Reviews are truthful, and the 5 star Reviews are fakes, made up. On so many Review sites. Both, Direct Digital, and Multimedia Int. Services Ltd .
Very bad experience here, like many other ppl. Thinking back. Nasty outfit ! Underhand dealings. Never again. Trying extorting money not owed. Harassment it is. Appalling.
Have nothing to do with them. Also true, they try to stop bad reviews, that are truth.
Convicted / fined $230,000 in Australia Federal Courts for this very "unconscionable conduct", following customer complaints. See online report.
Report them to ALL Authorities for full investigation
Stay away from them!
Stay away from them!
SCAM ARTISTS.
A sales representative approached me saying my business had been recommended to be advertised in this (what seemed) like an amazing way. They tell you all these wonderful things and make it seem like a fantastic advertising opportunity for your business. But it's NOT. The advertisments are awful, poor quality, you pay monthly for an advert that will crash, the machines will break. You get pressured into an immediate contract there and then. No time to truly look into it all.
It will do nothing for your business. Over the two years I received not one client from this so called amazing advert. Waste of money that will take away from your business more than help gain anything.
I don't use the email address associated with the account I had with them. I looked at the emails today and have received emails being threatened by court from them for a missed payment I had no idea about for November. Apparently they are now a paperless company so don't send letters. As I have complained that if the matter is a serious as court, why have I not received any notification via post or call?
Awful awful company.
Avoid
Do not use. Read the small print because if the advert does not work you still lose your money.
Avoid at all costs!!
This is by far the biggest regret you will have in business. Their sales people lie but high pressure so you have to sign on the day without having time to digest the huge contract which ties you up into a nightmare! They have a clause for everything our advert hasn’t been used they say it was moved to a place I’ve never even heard of they have a clause for that. You can’t get out of it without sending a letter but even then it’s 18 months notice and I would make sure it’s proof of delivery is kept. I’ve just cancelled the direct debit because even when I closed down they said I still have to pay for an advert that is obviously not needed. I’m now seeking legal advice as to whether I can get any of my money back as it’s been a scam in a way .. everything they do is covered by clauses but they do nothing they sell you. This experience has put me off ever paying for any form of advertising I was sold this as a collaboration with the surgery but it’s nothing to do with the surgeries they advertise in. I’m sure I will have bailiffs come which is why I’m seeking legal advice and having to pay to protect myself it’s such a stress keeping me up at night they are cow boys do not get yourself into the same mess I have avoid!!!! Like the plague that they are!! Scum of the earth bleeding you dry for nothing.
Do not use..Con Artist
Do not use! They send a con man to convince you to sign up for advertising in your local area. Show you professional adverts which they have no intention or ability to produce for you. Promise you the world and deliver nothing. The customer service is shocking, unprofessional and you get fobbed off by people who have no idea where they are working. They then can't set up a direct debit and then send emails from their debt recovery team to get payment. The quality of their so call adverts is so bad, you could do better on Canva yourself. They won't let you come out of the contract even when you've made several complaints and they just stop responding.
Do not sign up
Signed a two year contract and paid in full for an advertisement to run (approx) every 15mins in our local GP practise waiting room.
Our GP practise has 3 waiting rooms, I’ve been 3 times over the past 4 months and haven’t seen the advert once, Direct Digital assures me it is running and sent me a spreadsheet showing times, if only I could find it when I visit!
In all seriousness we have been completely miss-sold and will be taking it further. I even asked reception staff today (who was already a customer of ours) she has never seen our advert. We will be seeking legal advice.
Wasted Over $5,000 on a Failed Advertising Campaign – Disappointing Experience with Direct Digital
We were approached two years ago by a representative named Glynn from Direct Digital, who pitched us on what sounded like a unique and promising opportunity: to advertise our car detailing business through a local hotel partnership. The concept was to place our business ad in the hotel lobby to attract guests in need of car detailing services. It sounded great in theory—but in practice, it turned out to be a complete waste of time and money.
We paid $230/month for two years—over $5,300 total—and didn’t receive a single lead from this campaign. In hindsight, it’s clear the concept was flawed. Most hotel guests aren’t thinking about booking a car detail during their stay, and we should have questioned the logic more from the start.
The initial advertisement looked unprofessional—more like something thrown together with clip art than a serious marketing effort. After complaints, it was eventually updated to look more presentable, but by that point the damage was done. Even with the better design, it yielded no traction.
Communication with Direct Digital was also disappointing. Our main point of contact, Sunam Sherpa, was slow to respond and consistently failed to address me by name in emails until I pointed it out. The interaction felt impersonal and unprofessional, which added to the frustration.
While we acknowledge we signed a two-year contract and were locked in, the experience left us feeling misled and deeply dissatisfied. The return on investment was non-existent, and we cannot recommend this service to any small business looking for effective local advertising. Save your money and find alternatives
Beware of Direct Digital Advertising!!!
Beware of Direct Digital Advertising – Misleading Business Practices!
If zero stars were an option that would’ve been chosen.
I was approached by Ian Stirland from Direct Digital Advertising, who offered me a "discounted" price in part exchange for free Botox and skin boosters from my business. That are actually quite costly treatments. However, I later discovered that the "discounted" price he gave me was the same as what he had offered other businesses - meaning the deal was not as exclusive as he made it seem.
After paying a deposit on the day with Ian, I decided to request a refund a few hours later and cancel the contract. Ian refused to take or return any of my calls, customer services are extremely unhelpful and I’ve been having to email multiple departments, only to be met with vague answers and empty promises.
Having to wait 6 weeks for a refund seems extremely excessive and raises serious concerns.
When I researched the company further, I found multiple complaints from other small businesses who’ve had similar issues with misleading offers and unfulfilled services.
If you're considering working with Direct Digital, I strongly recommend doing thorough research and read reviews before making any payments. I wish I had done so beforehand. If you’ve had a similar experience, I encourage you to share your story so others can make informed decisions.
If I could give this no stars I would
If I could give this no stars I would. They feed on small vulnerable businesses. You have to make the decision that day and the fear of loss of the special offer made me join without looking into it. I was looking to advertise and they sold a dream. All these life size stand adverts were all false. For months nothing was advertised even though I paid. One was a tiny screen that wasn’t even turned on. You’re stuck in a two year contract. I haven’t had a single client who came to me from any of the ads. It’s a disgrace. I can’t wait to get out of my contract. STAY CLEAR!! Have wasted so much money on this and as a small business it’s detrimental.
SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!
SCAM! SCAM! when any of their lying agents approach you, in the interest of business sanity please drive them away. They don’t do anything they promised. They are only interested in milking from
Small businesses who are already struggling. They promise you heaven on earth and deliver trash. Rude customer service! Took an advert paid 4months and no advert was done. Approach them and they could only apologise. Then the advert that came out was rubbish a grade one student won’t even accept that. I am honestly disappointed that a company like this is still being allowed to operate.
I was told that I had been recommended…
I was told that I had been recommended as the clinic to be offered a promotional package.
It all sounded pretty good and I was advised that I could leave if I was unhappy.
My video was meant to be in two locations which only happened ten months into the contract. I was told that the video would be up and running within 5-7 days and it took almost four months but I was charged none the less.
My complaints have been completely ignored and I find out the guy that signed me up has left.
I asked to make a formal complaint as it is such a waste of time and there have been too many issues and they have been ignored. I got an email back basically dismissing me like I am trash. That is not what I asked for, I wanted to speak to a senior manager.
This company has no values and certainly does not know how to treat people. There is zero understanding or attempts at showing someone that they listen, because they don’t. All they care about is their contract and getting money out of you. Even when they have breached the contract they still deny it.
If they approach you I would tell you to run!!
run a mile from Direct Digital
I'm both angry and disappointed at the horrible lies and deceit made by Direct.Digital. I thought I would try a different advertising approach and was told verbally by their sales rep that if I was unhappy I could leave the contract after six months. I asked about it but didn't read the fine print and was stuck in a financial obligation for one full year. I never got one lead from the doctor's office my advertising was in for my small massage business. There was absolutely no compromise and the sales rep has left the company and apologised for lying but Direct Digital don't care about the lies and forced me to pay. Run a mile from this unscrupulous company and their horrible demeanour.
scam company
Scam company. They approached me to advertise in a local post office. I found out after that the screen was extremely small.
I was in a two year contract which ended last year and I spoke to someone on the phone at direct digital. After 6 months they have started charging me again and told me I’m in another rolling contract for a year which I haven’t agreed! The lady I spoke to was rude, arrogant and abrupt!
Absolutely scam, money thieving company! Do not trust!
I have been approached by Mr Stirland…
I have been approached by Mr Stirland and I joined the programme after he explained in detail what the company stands for and what are their achievements.
The meeting was made available the same day and it was a great success. I was very happy to join the programme.
SCAM Don't go near this company
Don't go near this company, the advert screen isn't positioned where they say it is, if you leave messages with there customer care department, no body gets back in touch. And they charge more than agreed.

Scumbags
Scumbags, I cancelled my contract nearly a year ago and have now been told I didn't cancel it in time for it to not roll over in to the next year so I now have to pay another 8 months of contract until they can cancel it (total 18 months from the date of cancellation letter). I would also like to add that my advert never got played at the site that it was supposed to be played at and instead is playing in a different city altogether, they just get round this by saying that if they cant play it where they agreed then they just move the advert to a nearby site... Absolute joke of a company!!! Please don't sign up with them they are immoral liars and money grabbers!
