How do we high light just how much this company is ripping off many through falsifying descriptions and total mis-selling.

No tracking, very long waiting for items to be delivered. Plus what came was an absolute disgrace. No official labels inside, poor quality, poor material. Not what was advertised and a rubbish made fake product. Will warn anyone away from this website it's a scam.

They expect you to be aware that they ship their clothing from China. Absolutely appaling service. Will be informing everyone I know about this company.

Probably the worst clothing on the net it’s a scam the items are cheap and from China, the sizes are wrong and the material is so cheap and nasty you can’t wear it… it’s going in the bin and I have lost £39.i am not even going to waste any more time sending it back I have been scammed that is that. A lesson not to buy from a company that has no landline or social media presence… it’s worse than cheap Halloween costume materials. Avoid this business unless you want to get scammed.

I purchased some swim shorts and shirt for my upcoming holiday.
Placed an order on the 5th October..
I had ordered quiet a few items from different online stores which all arrived before my holiday.

This item got delivered after my holiday, literally 15 days to land at my doorstep.

Obviously no longer required the item so requested for a refund. Got an email within the hour stating that if i wish to return this item, it would need to be sent back to China and could potentially cost over £50?? Also advised me to read their terms and conditions on the return policy.
The shorts and shirt cost £34.95 so it would cost me more to send their items back.

I’m just taking a guess here but this business “Dave & Carter” is most likely an alias for Shein or Temu.

Stay clear of such businesses. Absolute waste of time and money. So glad i didn’t spend more money on the initial purchase.

Pretends to be a UK company but is in China. Item took weeks to arrive not days and is awful cheap quality. Thin jacket material and really badly made. Avoid at all costs.

I have discovered several others who have not been sent the item they requested. When asking how to return the incorrect item, the company say to send to China at £50 cost to you, which is not legal practice in the UK. When i bought, they had an English address on the website. They now have a Chinese one. I've reported them not only to Trading Standards via CAB, but also HMRC.
I saw one review that wasn't a 1 * and its from someone talking about an entirely different company! Otherwise the rating for Daveandcarteruk would be 1 star, not 1.9. Pity i can't give zero.

If I could give a minus score I would. In September I ordered a 3XL Borg light blue hoodie for my husband with a 3-5day delivery I think it was just under £40. It said UK company based in Bury. After 3 weeks I looked in website saw Hong Kong in company details. Chased and got an email offering me 20% off next order and was assured order on way. 2 days later I received a dark green hoodie not borg that it roughly a ladies size 16 it was so thin and quality was shocking actually made Primark stuff look like LK Bennett went straight in charity bag. BY PAIN OF DEATH PLESSE DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE NOT UK BASED AND POSITIVE REVIEWS ARE FAKE !!!

My “5 working day” order took 3 weeks to “arrive” but their courier left it outside the property when i’d not requested a safe place as such, company have told me it’s not their issue and have kept my money, I’ll reclaim via the bank. Waste of time trying to deal with them.

As several other reviews state, the company reply on here to show they are interested in resolving issues, my emails from them show very different, they just pass blame and keep your money.

I wanted to return item, but was told to keep it, as it was too expensive to return it to China, and offered 20% off next purchase.
I would avoid this website.

Do not use this website its fraud. They are a Chinese based company item does not get delivered for 4 weeks even though they state 3/5 working days. When you ask for a delivery date they give you no information. Had to return my item and had to return the item to china at my own expense and now the item is stuck in customs as they will not provide the information needed. After chasing for months they have gone radio silent so i have received no refund. These people are thieves and scam artists DO NOT USE this website.

The quality is very poor and you can return but they expect you to pay, which is more than the original cost! Complete Scam! I have reported to trading standards. You have been warned.

had an absolutely awful experience with Dave and Carter and I would strongly advise anyone to stay well away from them. I returned the item exactly as instructed, with proof of postage to confirm it was sent back. Despite this, they have flatly refused to return my money, even though they originally promised a refund once the return was completed.

What makes things even worse is their complete lack of communication. I have sent multiple emails trying to get this sorted, giving them every chance to reply and do the right thing, but they have chosen to ignore every single message. It feels like once they had my money, they stopped caring about providing even the most basic level of customer service.

Being left out of pocket through no fault of my own is frustrating enough, but the dishonesty and total disregard for me as a customer is just unacceptable. Businesses should stand by their word and look after their customers, not rip them off and then refuse to respond.

I cannot stress this enough: do not use Dave and Carter. If you’re thinking of buying from them, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere, because you risk losing your money just as I did

Avoid at All Costs – A Truly Awful Experience

I placed an order in July and received the shirts three weeks later. Unfortunately, the quality was shockingly poor—more like something you'd find in a novelty or joke shop. They smelled unpleasant and felt unsafe to wear; I genuinely worried they might be flammable.

But that was just the beginning.

Only after trying to return them did I discover that this so-called “friendly” company isn’t UK-based. Returns must be shipped to China at your own expense—mine cost nearly £40. Now, the shirts are stuck in customs, and I’m out of pocket.

Despite following all their instructions, Dave and Carter have refused to take any responsibility. I’ve exchanged around 40 emails with them, and all I get are generic responses telling me to “email support.”

This has been, without question, the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Save yourself the frustration—do not spend your money here. You’d be better off literally tearing up your cash.
