I was worried to order from this Company because of so many negative reviews on here, but I have to say I’m very pleased with the customer service and quality of the item provided. Summa quickly answered all the questions I had about the bar I wanted to order (a U-Shaped one) and it was delivered before Christmas. The delivery guys were really professional and polite, despite having a nightmare journey from Somerset to London. Very happy with the quality of the bar and price paid. Thank you!

Avoid at all costs. Quick to promise a delivery date and take your money ... then they go silent and the items don't materialise.

Despite 3 "100% guaranteed" delivery dates, we never received the bar, stools and table we ordered. They wouldn't refund either, just kept promising future delivery dates, which we knew were stalling tactics. Thankfully PayPal found in our favour and we now have our money back.

We first spoke to their sales person prior to ordering as we needed the bar etc for a special occasion and wanted to be sure it would arrive (an event to commemorate the first anniversary of my husband's death on 19th December). She promised delivery would be in 14 days (9th December) so we placed the order and paid. However we received no future communication and the item wasn't delivered. On checking our invoice, we noticed that had a delivery date of Christmas Day (with a sentence saying it could be later) not the promised 14 days we had in writing.

So we contacted them and asked what was going on. No real explanation was given, but they then promised a new delivery date of 19th December. I took the day off work, but it didn't arrive. They didn't even contact me to say it wasn't being delivered.

On contacting them, we were told their van had broken down - an excuse they seem to use a lot. We asked for a refund but were instead offered an upgrade. We declined, as we had no reason to believe our order had even been made. They refused to refund, instead promising "100%" to deliver on 22nd December. Although this was past the date we had needed the bar for, we had no choice but to accept. We made it clear that this meant another unpaid day off work to take the order in - however, the bar didn't arrive. No contact from them again. We again asked for a refund, but no joy. Just more false promises of a future delivery date after Christmas.

We had to go via PayPal, who have refunded us in full.

So please do not give this company your money - or use PayPal, at the very least, if you are willing to ignore all the one star reviews.

Awful experience. Ordered a memorial bar for my child . I contacted company prior with all details to ensure all would be ok after reading reviews to be told it was just one person writing them and it would be ok . I paid in full with PayPal . Got given a delivery date and it didn't turn up they used the excuse of van broke down and if you read other reviews this is a normal excuse . I asked for future dates and messages were ignored and no dates given . Soon as I put in a PayPal dispute they replied saying as I had started a dispute due to lack of delivery , they would not deliver now . Awful company never even build the bar and to pray in someone's grief is an all time low . Do not use this company. I am reporting to trading standards . I got a full refund via PayPal as they had not delivered so PayPal closed case in my favour . Also please note all my communication to them to ask was polite they were just a company with no morals.

Quick delivery and quick response when we had a question. We was slightly worried when we saw some of the reviews after ordering but honestly couldn’t fault the service we’ve received.

Useless. No communication, no order delivered after chasing a number of times. Avoid, I wouldn't recommend this company or use them again.

Small purchase of an engraved cheeseboard, to support Fripps Farm! Excellent product, well packaged, good communication about the process. It was going to be a Christmas present, but I'm keeping it for myself.

Recently purchased a bar from The Custom Wood and all I can say is totally brilliant from start to finish the bar made yo great quality perfect fit to my requirements and looks amazing I will definitely be buying more items and have already been asked afew times where I purchased it from so get ready for some more orders 😀 5stars from me

Do not use this company. Like so many reviews this company does not deliver. 3 dates given for delivery 3 times no show. Thankfully paid for with credit card so it in their hands now.

Placed our order late on 31.10.2023 and received our order at 07.00 on 24.11.2023, the bar we ordered was perfect exactly what we wanted, the workmanship, finish and care given to our preferred logo was superb. The stools that were made alongside the bar were also beautifully hand made, sturdy and the right size for the bar. Looking forward to enjoying some draught ale at home. We're both really pleased with the service and will recommend and use again. Big shout out to Kieron who delivered to South Wales.

We ordered the bar with tiled top and the wall bar which holds optics. Both items are well made and impressive and I'm looking forward to adding them to our bar / dining house extension which is currently being built. We planned ahead because we factored in the timescales for delivery being between 14 to 21 days as stated when ordering. However, we were given a delivery date of less than 72 hours after ordering which was a little unexpected. Due to work commitments & the email stated that further delivery charges would be incurred if nobody could sign for delivery, we requested a rearranged delivery date. Heard nothing back & then a couple of weeks later it arrived around lunchtime & luckily someone was home to sign for it. I got a text later that afternoon confirming that delivery would be made that day, even though it had already arrived. Could be a network failure possibly. Delivery guy was really nice though.
Please note the bar is of a solid construction which is great, but it is very heavy. The delivery guy was alone & needed a hand getting it out of the van. Something to be aware of when taking delivery. Luckily my partner was home because I'm not sure I'd have managed on my own as I have mobility problems.
Even though the delivery side of things would benefit from a little more organisation, the products are really good and I would recommend the tiled top on the bar its beautiful.

I purchase a J shape bar from this company. It was delivered today and I am very impressed with my new bar! I helped the driver get it off the van and he very kindly help me carry it into my garden. Lovely quality and well made. They communicated well and I have no issues recommending them. Thank you!

Excellent service. The colour is perfect and the team were able to accommodate a slightly higher bar. It was delivered within a few weeks of ordering and at the time promised. Brilliant from start to finish. And it looks great.

Brilliant good quality wood, with a great finish, I ordered a XL L shape bar. The custom service was great, and the delivery slot was smooth. Defo be ordering again from the custom wood company, I highly recommend!

I am delighted at the excellent quality of craftsmanship of the U-shaped tiled bar and padded stools that came last week and fit my new bar in the garage perfectly. Kieran was very helpful in assisting me to put the unit in just the right place and it was interesting hearing about how your company was formed during Covid. I can see why you are as busy as ever. To coin a phrase - the bar does exactly what it says on the tin! Well done to all concerned. I have no hesitation in recommending your company to anybody. Every future success to you.

Excellent service great quality bar called me before delivery and was faster than the original 6 weeks

Please for goodness sake DO NOT order anything from this company. We ordered a breakfast bar months ago, tried to get it delivered and even offered to pick it up as they couldn't seem to organise the delivery. The only way I could get a response from them was by leaving a comment on their facebook page.
They cancelled me picking it up saying their van wasn't working and they would deliver for free the following week. Not sure why their van not working had anything to do with me driving to pick it up. Due to all their mess ups that following week they offered a partial refund and upheld the free delivery.
Months have gone by with me messaging regularly asking when the refund would go back into our account. Suddenly after asking again for the third time in the past week they want the order number, how we paid....blaaa blaaa blaaa. Cant check themselves as its the weekend. OMG what century are they living in - I carry a computer in my pocket!
Cancelled order and requested money back. Did offer to go collect in person but have decided to go through the bank instead. In the meantime they have blocked me on FB. I'm obviously devastated.
Terrible company. Ridiculously bad customer service. Do not provide a contact number. Liars and thieves who will just keep you stringing along, waiting for replies and action.

Got my bar bundle delivered by Kieron today, I am over the moon with my bundle, excellent work. Better than I expected, looks awesome and Kieran was very good. Put it exactly where I wanted it. All in all very happy with the company and the communication was also very good. I would definitely recommend them to everyone. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely shocking customer service, 4 delivery dates promised,even said I would receive tracking information.....no delivery, all different excuses then when I ask for a refund they ignore me...also blocked me on Facebook so I can't comment.... highly doubt I will receive a refund....AVOID!

Ordered my bar bundle two weeks ago and was delivered yesterday and keiron the delivery guy was really helpful and texted me to let me know ruffly what time he would come...after I ordered I did read the reviews snd panicked a bit seeing some bad reviews but so glad I didn't change my mind because I love it and fits so well..and I especially love the barrel nice size and top to keep my wine on..

Placed an order for a bar, wall bar and barrel table on 9th September 2023. Confirmed should be delivered within 21 days therefore by 30th September. I had an event on on 30th September so emailed to see if it was possible to get it a day or 2 early so it was ready for the event. Sent email on 12th September 2023, no response despite stating they would reply within 3 days. Emailed again on 20th September 2023 and got a response to say they would see what they could do. Nothing further so emailed to chase on 24th September 2023, no response. Emailed on 26th September, no response. Emailed on 28th September, no response. I finally got an email on 2nd October to say my delivery was going to be 12th October, 33 days, not 21 days as they stated. Waiting for delivery and got a text message the evening before to say the wall bar will be coming on a separate delivery. I asked when and was told would be posted Friday (13th October) so should be with early the following week. Driver came and product is decent but informed me the issue was they didn't have any optics. Waiting for wall bar, no word from company on delivery. Emailed 14th October 2023, no reply. Emailed again 18th October 2023 to be told sorry it had slipped under the net, it would be remade and a deliver date provided early next week. No date provided so far. Considering I placed this order 44 days ago and spent £585 it has still not been fully delivered. I'm not sure without chasing I would have had an items at all. The lack of being able to phone or getting a response majority of the time is very poor and they need to deliver on the time frames for delivery and responses to queries that they have themselves laid out
