Terrible complaint handling from start to finish

Credit Karma repeatedly sent me unwanted marketing/promotional emails despite my attempts to stop them. When the Financial Ombudsman later asked for evidence showing what I had actually selected when I signed up, Credit Karma could not provide the account-specific consent record.

Their complaint handling has been even worse.

They offered me £50 goodwill compensation, asked for my bank details, thanked me for providing them, then deferred payment because the complaint was with FOS. Months later they again said they were “attempting to process” the £50, asked for my bank details again, I accepted it again, and they deferred payment again.

They then told FOS in writing that they “continue to make available the £50 offer”.

Now the FOS process has finished, Credit Karma suddenly says there is “no outstanding goodwill payment due” and claims I rejected the offer.

I didn’t.

They also closed my complaint for supposedly not replying after THEY had told me to wait for FOS, forced me through an inaccessible multi-step support process again, ignored my reasonable-adjustment request, and are now refusing even to recognise my new formal complaint — despite already creating a new case number for it.

Months of unwanted emails, poor responses, inaccessible processes, contradictory explanations, disappearing cases and compensation they repeatedly said they would process but never paid.

I’ve now escalated this to senior Intuit/Credit Karma management, FOS and the relevant regulatory/data-protection routes.

An exhausting and completely unacceptable way to treat a customer.

I am delighted and greatful to have the opportunity of a free credit score app such as Credit Karma. They update me on time how my credit score is growing or going down. They also advise me on what to do or avoid. I just to say that when my credit score goes down, they should be able to point out exactly what went wrong. Above all, I am satisfied. Thank you all.

Great app for checking updates on your credit file and watching your score rise.

Up until I would have given a five star rating, but recently I have not been able to access the page with my details on, it keeps coming up saying they are doing maintenance and will be back soon. This has been happening for weeks. I've tried their help page but after felling in the details they require and pressing the button to go to the next stage it takes me back to the same page. They don't have a phone number so I can get no further and will have to stop using them

I am really disappointed with how Karma's scoring system works. I recently paid off all my credit cards completely, bringing my credit utilization down to 0%. Instead of rewarding this responsible financial behavior and increasing my score, Karma actually dropped my rating. It makes no sense to penalize customers for having zero debt.

Been using the ios app for years and haven’t needed any other alternative. Easy, reliable and helpful.

I think Credit Karma is pretty good. I would highly recommend. You don't have to pay either and you get fully access to your credit rating and also recommendations for credit cards to help improve your credit. I have been with them for years.

Good website to keep tracking of your score for free.
Sometimes updates balances and scores bit late but otherwise information displayed is mostly correct.

Everything is there and explained in detail and always ready to give good advice
