Payment security questionable
At checkout, I used the wrong 3 digit security code.
I realised as I pressed pay now.
I assumed the sale would automatically be rejected, however it was not and went through.
I raised this immediately with the vendor who was great, and is going to raise this as an issue with the site, however it gave me no trust in the security of the platform. .
When I looked into this there is no padlock on the payment page. Just how secure is it?
Buyer beware I guess, but I won't be using Crafters Market again. Shame as I was looking at the site as an outlet for my own business

Hi Jacqui,
I tested the checkout function at the time of your query with the vendor as they reached out to us.
Our checkout process, which is managed by Stripe (a multinational financial service like PayPal with PCI-certification), simply will NOT take payment with incorrect card details. Having spoken to Stripe support, they confirm this. Stripe is used by Amazon, Google, Zoom, ASOS to name a few so we're inclined to trust them as our payment partner.
That said, we've reviewed the log files for your transaction that we refunded, it states it passed CVC check. We've tested with a bank card and intentionally failed the CVC check, Stripe instantly blocked the payment and sent the correct notification to any connected device/bank.
Regarding no padlock (SSL certificate), our website is secured on all pages with a valid SSL certificate. I would stress to you and anyone reading this that, you should never proceed to checkout if an SSL certificate is not present, regardless of website.
Whilst we cannot find any issues with the marketplace and have had countless orders before and after your visit, I've opened a fraud case with Stripe to investigate this further as it's a serious topic for all parties involved.
This all said, I do thank you for supporting a small business, both vendor and our marketplace and appreciate your time in providing feedback. We hope in time you may visit and revisit this review.

Amazing, if i could give more than 5 stars, i would!!
i had trouble tailoring my sellers page to better suit my products, i emailed for some help and within 10 minutes the great David replied and spent literally hours of his time working with me to help me fully tailor my account. He made custom step by step videos for me and pictures and even took it upon him to edit my seller page so i could see what he did and use it going forward for my other sale listings!
can not thank David enough for the work he did for me, the most incredible customer service experience i have ever had, and such a credit to the team for going above and beyond!
if you're looking for a friendly and professional selling platform with FREE listings and low selling fees, the Crafters Market UK is the place to be!

Perfect place for UK crafters
I have used Crafter's Market for a while and it is really easy to use. There is a great support system and Facebook group to help sellers. Highly recommend this place for buyers and sellers

Difficult setting up but pleased with result
So far it’s taken me three days to put a banner on my new site.
I’ve taken the sizes but so far the pictures come out too low down or too high up. Plus for over one day I had issues with the site retaining photos that I had deleted for the banner. It took me a long time to prepare for this site and didn’t expect such a delay to set up my banner ! That said I’ve finally done it and I’m very happy with the outcome.
I still think this is a good site as they only charge when you sell

To say our marketplace is a waste of time is somewhat hurtful as it's a marketplace built around community without any sort of up-front cost.
