It was the first and only time we claimed and they paid out what I was expecting. Our dog was over 8, so we had to pay 20% and the excess, but anything was better than nothing. I would have given 5 stars but the claim had already taken 3 week and I had to phone and ask how much longer it would take. They did ask if I had any financial difficulties and I said I could really do with the claim money to pay the vet bill which I'd put in the credit card, and they said they would put my claim to priority and it was paid about a week later.

Straight forward, hassle free, bit of a wait for a decision

One of the most caring, kind and honest pet insurance companies I have ever dealt with, my claim and ongoing claim has been dealt with swiftly and all staff have been incredibly kind after my dog’s cancer diagnosis - would highly recommend this company as have claimed twice in two years and they really have been great from start to finish and go above and beyond with their advice and professionalism

Like it’s not enough to have to pay £125 excess we then get charged an extra 15% of the total claim because our dog is 3 yrs old!!!
How disgusting our first ever claim with corinium pet insurance in over 3 years and we end up paying nearly £200 of a £600 claim this ontop of our monthly premiums!!

£215 paid to vets.
£125 excess minus 15%. So i only received approx £76.
I knew when I took out the insurance the excess figures
Okay I received the money but I think it could have been paid out a lot quicker.

Sadly our dog died while we were away on holiday we took her to a local vets but unfortunately they couldn't save her. I started the claim as soon as I got back home as Corinium insurance handled everything for me even sorting the vets paperwork out. Claim took about 5 weeks from start to finish. Highly recommend,even if you ring them directly they answered all my questions and very polite and professional. Will definitely recommend them.

Prompt no quibble payment of our claim after providing basic information about our dog’s injury.

Dog got sick. Vets made her better. Vet made many dollars. Corinium refunded cost minus excess and old dog 20% co payment. They were not terribly quick but thankfully dog remains quick. Certainly helped take the sting out of the whole situation. Shame it’s harder to take the blood out the carpet. Dog is very grateful. Dog costs more to insure than my house.

Sadly we had to claim for our poor little dog. Corinium were efficient and supportive,with very little input from me, would recommend.

Nothing went wrong, but I am very disappointed that the premium has doubled just because we are claiming against our policy for a condition that we are insured against.
If you asked me to do some plumbing in your home and where satified and then came back for more plumbing, how would you feel if I doubled the hourly rate? It seems to me to be a cynical money-grabbing tactic that you have implemented.
Also, you keep telling me every month that we have claimed when I have told you to repeat the claim and settle the claim without three emails every month.
I am very much feeling like I am not part of the process and have slipped into auto mode instead of an intelligent claim handling process.

It took a rather long time. Im not sure i will renew as I know because I've made a claim I will be penalised by it going up too much that I can't afford

After our pet dog became ill and sadly passed away we had to claim for payments to three separate practices.
All three claims were processed without any problems and we received the money after about a month.

I have found Corinium to be fair. When I had one claim rejected and revisited it. They over turned their original decision.

The additional costs are steep but this is the same with most other pet insurance companies

If I speak to somebody on the phone they are always polite, empathetic and knowledgeable

My claim was handled promptly and my policy paid out as I had hoped. Very pleased I had my sickness cover when I needed it. A doctors note was required, but that should be possible for any genuine sickness claim, just be sure to visit your doctor as soon as you can't work.
