Senior member of staff appears to be allergic to serving customers. Dismissive and rude.

I ordered from Co op Dulwich SE22 0RR. The staff need to be informed that dairy cupcakes are not a replacement for VEGAN cupcakes. There is a huge difference that they need to be aware of. Also, please don't hang up on people when they are trying to call the store. It is very rude and unprofessional. Will not be ordering from them again. My first and last experience with Dulwich store.

Went to co op for ice cream, there was some in freezers but not much. Bought nuii costing £2.75. before paying checked with staff member if freezer was working and he said it was ok and squeezed the ice cream box and said that was ok. Went straight home and took the ices from the box for the freezer, kept one out and opened it, chocolate coating was intact but the ice cream was totally defrosted and runny. Not the first time from this particular shop.

CO OP Potters Bar Herts, on a Sunday, bought pain killers which i didn't realise need staff sign off for age restrictions. Waiting for 4/5 mins for staff member who served the 3 other people behind me in queue and then was horribly rude. Will not be visiting there again.

co op customer service is useless - It was very hard to understand the lady on the phone because of her accent She inputted my details wrongly several times and I had to take time to spell my name, and the postcode correctly. I tried explaining that the issue was I wanted to register for a new card and was unable to as there was an existing account from many years previously - details of that would have been a completely different address and I no longer had access to the account number or card. She kept me on the phone for quite some time- clearly not able to understand or deal with the situation. She told me I would have to buy a new card in store (happy to do that but still would probably have the same problem trying to register!) I am a very patient person but my goodness I needed a strong coffee after this exchange and no interest in keeping shopping at coop!

Southwater Co-op is useless. Half of the shelves are empty, you have to go hunting for plastic bags at the self checkout, baskets are rarely collected to put back at the door, you stand for ages waiting for the only staff member to approve your purchase on the self checkout or resolve any problems.

Please don’t shop at the co op! My son is high intelligence (0.01% in country) and can’t get a job! Always fobbed off that someone has scored higher even after interview. It’s completely down to the manager wanting someone she knows. It’s disgusting! I worked at Harrods’ and John Lewis for years because it was fair. Please don’t support them

I just had a very bad experience with co op delivery driver that I had to call police. Did u know ceo of co op has no contact details and head office number on website doesn’t work or ring.
The driver delivered to my front door in his helmet and bandana and initially I was scared to open door. I am 70 disabled and shaking all the time,
I gave him date of birth and was closing my door and then he had his foot against the door and he wouldn’t let me close it so I screamed and my son came down and pushed him away from the door. In that time I had a panic attack and had to take meds. He stayed outside for 15 minutes on his electric bike. I called the police. He then came to the door and was kicking the door and this time with bandana down and my son came downstairs again and went towards him and he drove off. This has been reported to p9lice and my son was on the phone to co op and told them and they said they would send email with reference number of this incident and received nothing, DO NOT SHOP WITH COOP FOR HOME DELIVERIES?

The new ‘dual role’ screens at various locations are totally unnecessary and unwanted!

I absolutely despise them!

I always pay by cash and prefer a human to process my purchases. I resent being forced to have to scan myself!

I hate digital screens and hate having to touch them. They are incredibly dirty and previous studies have found trace elements of poo on them.

In any case they have totally eliminated my ability to choose how to purchase my groceries!

I will not be shopping at Co Op again.

The convenience of an out of town shop isn’t worth it anymore (especially since your prices are extortionate anyway).

This is the last straw for me, but I know they will totally ignore my complaint and press ahead regardless!

PS - The store is not offered as a location option on their unwanted drop down menu!

Plus, their complaints form wouldn’t send my email!

I've just shelled out £ 5.50 for A Truly Irresistible Lamb Mousasaka from the New CoOp range. It was like eating baby food except without any meat in it. It is the worst food I've eaten in 59 years on earth....

Coop promotes itself by pretending that customers own their Coop but in reality they fleece customers with high prices, slow service and a poor choice of goods on offer, in addition they don't listen to members and are unethical, by example they still sell Frankenchickens despite 90% of members voting that they should stop selling this cruelty. Coop may be convenient but shop elsewhere if you can.

Co-op Thornbury - Bristol - the rudest manager I have ever come across in the post office. Duty manger in the store not much friendlier. I called to try to chase up if the rude post office manager had tracked my cheque, the Duty Manager answered and I said to him ' I have my complaint number can I give it to you' and he replied ' You have given it to me before what do you want now?' Really?? Well,,,, I guess you get what you pay for, Waitrose this certainly is not.
Ellie you and your other colleague have been amazing and so polite when trying to help me with my issue. Head office looking into my complaint. Won't be coming back in though. Duty manager, and post office manager need to understand that the less customers that you have the more likely your shop will be closed and there will be redundancies.....You need customers. How this shop stays open is beyond me. Better customer service is expected from a shop on Thornbury (Bristol) High Street.

You have to girls that should be packing boxes not working with the pubic . They hate servicing you at the till that's if anyone comes and there undeliverable rude. Am 69 1 off your girls push right by me and I nearly full over does manager not no what's going on after all these bad review .

Have regularly ordered with coop with the deals being hit and miss and being overcharged but it’s ok it’s in their terms and conditions. Nail in the coffin is attempting to order, payment taken but order not processed. Email received to say they would reverse the payment but 4 days later took a random amount from my account. They have ignored my emails and upon telephoning today they say they have no record, despite my providing evidence and that I need to call my bank. That is the end of my custom. Absolute shower.

What the disappointment, another deal and another crap. Promised not delivered. Match final day and you can get Diet Coke instead of buds. Enjoy yourself liers

Went into the co op Whitfield I didn't know your store's don't have staff I tried to buy milk with actual money no one serving.
I walked around the store searching for an employee no one so had to use scan and shop no wonder there's a shop lifting problem in the UK there's no staff.

I ordered a Just Eat delivery from Co Op Munster Road Fulham, the driver stated it was delivered but i did not receive it I contacted the Co Op as advised on Just Eat website but the Co Op said there was nothing they couid do as they could not contact the driver Appalling

I am formally logging a severe complaint against Co-op regarding a coordinated, systematic pattern of customer profiling, false accusations, and data manipulation. While this hostile environment is prevalent across multiple regions, staff at the Farnborough (Woburn Avenue) and Milton Keynes branches are openly and regularly engaging in these targeted interventions.

On 5th May 2026 at the Woburn Avenue store, after scanning an item and actively calling staff over to verify the terminal screen, staff claimed the item wasn't scanned and maliciously activated the security barriers to humiliate me in front of customers. The logic is completely broken: a shoplifter does not stay at a till and ask staff to double-check their items. Head Office has admitted in writing that they have retrieved this CCTV footage, yet they are attempting to hide behind a "90-day retention policy" to delete it by the end of August 2026. This email trail, the staff's profiling, and Co-op's attempts to create artificial barriers to withhold evidence are being handed directly to the ICO and the Equality Advisory & Support Service (EASS). Management is on formal notice to preserve all digital logs.

This is part of an ongoing, documented track record of harassment by specific staff, including Lloyd and the Store Manager, Alex. Alex in particular engages in highly hostile, defamatory behavior, actively following me out of the shop and looking around under the false, malicious assumption that I am a criminal or have brought a gang with me. Although I am a regular customer and they know I am an adult, they have also weaponized arbitrary ID verification checks solely as an intrusive profiling tactic to extract my personal data and intimidate me.

Every single time I file a complaint, I am falsely told by corporate that the matter is "resolved internally," yet absolutely nothing changes on the ground. This ongoing dismissiveness and lack of action is exactly what emboldened the local team to escalate their behavior, ultimately tipping them over into this malicious attempt to frame me as a thief. This is not my first complaint; I hold an established paper trail of formal case references with Co-op Customer Service dating back over a year, including Case Ref: 14844352. Corporate compliance needs to step in immediately, as regional management is actively abusing store security systems to target and defame legitimate customers.

Ironbridge - Wharfage Coop store. The 6 eggs had an Aldi Price Match price of £1.55 (down from £1.90), but the lady at the till insisted on £1.90 even after challenged. Best shop at Aldi or similar.

Food waste in Seaford store !!
Try getting a back up generator, that way, when you have a power cut (twice in a week) you will not have to chuck all that valuable food away.
I feel for staff having to do this.
