Your tech didn't work

Your tech didn't work - but your agent was extremely helpful.
1. No verification code arrived despite trying on several devices, checking spellings, checking spam folder etc.
2. Agent finally got me logged in. He couldn't work out what happened and said he was referring case to IT.
3. The form that finally appeared was missing the initial pages covering name, dob, ID etc - BUT I only found that out when I spoke to the agent to see if all was well. He couldn't understand how the system had allowed me to submit an incomplete form.
None of this inspired ANY confidence in your service!
Having said that, the agent sorted the issue and could not have been more helpful and apologetic,

Some email providers, particularly BT Internet and BT Openworld, have been disproportionately unreliable in delivering our verification emails. Despite our efforts to work with them on a resolution, they have been unwilling to assist. To prevent this from affecting users in the future, we have introduced SMS verification. Verification codes will now be sent via both email and text message, ensuring a more reliable login experience. We have also improved the formatting and structure of our emails to increase deliverability. These updates will be available in our next release.

We have also been investigating the issue with the missing form pages but have not yet been able to replicate it. Our team is continuing to review the system to understand what may have happened. If you are able to provide any additional details, we would really appreciate it. Please feel free to reach out to us at support@compass.tech, as this would help us resolve the problem more quickly.

While we regret that you encountered these difficulties, we are glad our support team was able to assist you and make sure you were able to move forward. We also want to acknowledge the delay in responding to your review. Rather than replying immediately, we focused on making meaningful improvements first. Just another rip off, Easy money

What an absolute con this is on behalf of the solicitor's, to be charged £155 to be told that there is no stamp duty to pay? When the price of the property was below the stamp duty threshold. The solicitors Tickle Hall Cross in St.Helens had already emailed to say no stamp duty was owed yet to progress we had to pay to be told this again. Maybe this should be reported to the law society. Just another time consuming, form filling exercise that we were charged for. What a shame that these days it seems I can only do1 star reviews, this now appears to be the normal. Afer reading your reply we got the outcomes we wanted there was no stamp duties to pay. I filled in all the answers to the questions your company actually did nothing but confirm what we already knew. And then mithered for a review, if you don't like the truth then don't ask for a review.

This includes identifying potential liabilities like the Higher Rate for Additional Dwellings or other surcharges, which might not be immediately obvious.

We also recognise that when no SDLT is payable, it can feel as though the service was unnecessary. However, for many of our clients, receiving professional confirmation provides peace of mind and protects against future challenges, such as unexpected HMRC queries or penalties.

Regarding your comment about being asked for a review, we invite feedback from all our clients to learn and improve.
