Lovely chore jacket in navy - treated myself to another as I like them so much. Great fit and robust. Good to support companies that make stuff in Britain.

Great shirt, UK made and sourced. Supports traditional trade and craft - Community Clothing is definitely a business for good, which you can't say about a lot of clothes manufacturers.
I am delighted with my cord jacket (James blazer) and matching trousers (5 pocket cords) in navy. Great quality material, well cut and made in England. This is just the kind of casual autumn and... Mehr ansehen

Made a few orders now and am really…
Made a few orders now and am really happy to support British industry. Very happy with the socks and Norman Walsh trainers. Great quality. Underwear I am less happy with. I ordered trunks for my waist size, but there is absolutely no room in the seat and so they have come up tight and are quite uncomfortable to wear. The designers seem to assume wearers will have a completely flat rear. I haven't had this issue with M&S trunks in my size. Ideally I would love to see the company make a looser boxer short. I haven't ordered any other clothing as it is all a bit too hipsterish in aesthetic. I would also love to see the company produce some office wear (since this is what I wear 5 days a week!) - bring back the British made collared shirt.
Poor sizing and costly returns
The jeans I ordered were clearly of a good quality material, and CC dealt with some delivery issues promptly.
However, the sizing is way off and the lack of free returns meant I returned for a refund rather than trying a different size. I'm a 34" waist, but they were too tight and I'm a 32" inside leg, but they were at least four inches too long. I'm 6' tall, and have always been a 32" inside leg, so I'm wondering if these were a production error as four inches too long is quite a lot!
I'd have been happy to swap for another size, but having to pay for my own return - when it was CC's poor sizing at fault - meant I didn't want to risk a replacement not fitting either.
I like the ethos of the company and would have loved a pair of their jeans that fit, but I think I'll stick with Hebtroco for now.
Great clothes
Very happy with my latest Community Clothing order, including jeans, shirts and socks. Great quality, cut and fit. Thank you.
Great idea, but increasingly negative experience - no longer worth the hassle
Love the idea and style of Community Clothing, and i've had some good stuff from them in the past. The socks (especially the sports socks) are the best socks i've ever had. However, it's gotten to a point where the hassle of trying things on to find they're grossly undersized (the Arthur chore coat chest size is at least 8 inches smaller than stated on the website), or oversized (such as the Bretons - although some of mine have then shrunk by at least one size on a cold wash, but not all, so you don't know which size to buy) or just weirdly proportioned, such as trousers, that the effort of returning, reordering in a new size or waiting for a refund, just becomes too much hassle. Also if you select one courier option, you may get another, cheaper option, as I found. Most recently, after returning nearly £400 of clothing, i've had to then chase it two weeks after it was showing as delivered back to them. Sorry, it's a real shame as i'll gladly pay for decent quality clothing that supports British industry, but the customer experience - and waste from clothing that ends up shrinking immediately and becomes unwearable - isn't worth it.
Fantastic
Purchased the fantastic Men's Joe Denim Jacket. Everything was absolutely spot on from the ordering, delivery and the product itself. The jacket is of exceptional quality and I will definitely be back to purchase more things. Give them a go
Breton top shrank!
I bought one of the Breton tops which I was very pleased with. Seemed to be lovely quality, but the first time I washed it (according to the instructions) it shrank considerably. Pretty disappointed, really.
Excellent product and customer support
I ordered some trainers, which were of impressive quality, but unfortunately did not fit. The returns process was pretty painless and the customer support team were extremely prompt and helpful. I plan on re-ordering the same trainers in a size up and will definitely be buying more from Community Clothing in the future.
Lovely company - returns process not too bad!
Lovely company with a great ethos. I recently had an order which I had to partly return. I was a little apprehensive as I had seen the return process can be difficult. In my experience the return process was good and the company refunded me very quickly.
Absolutely shocking returns process
Absolutely shocking returns process. As many others have testified the returns process is beyond a joke. You have to request a return and wait for it to be approved. I returned my parcel via Evri (never again) and there has been no update for almost three weeks. Community Clothing say they can't refund me and Evri are saying the retailer needs to make the refund. I seem to be in a Kafkaesque loop of bureaucratic incompetence no closer to receiving my refund of over £100. Avoid this company.
UPDATE:
To be fair to Community Clothing they did reach out to me privately and I have now received my refund. I think the fault really lays with Evri and how they administer returns to retailers, their level of customer service takes things to a whole new level of poor. My advice to anyone returning goods to Community Clothing is to avoid using Evri.

Beware shrinking!
Very pleased to buy British. Appeared good quality and at a reasonable price. However, jeans and chinos both shrank in their first wash. And I’ve just noticed the fly button has frayed on the jeans. I can squeeze into the jeans but the other trousers are not comfortable anymore and will end up in the charity shop. The guidance suggests not to wash regularly however that doesn’t work for me!
Poor customer service and variable quality
Wool socks are amazing. Everything else is a crap shoot. Customer service is terrible. Linen dress poorly sewn. Women’s underwear quality rubbish. I keep trying to buy British and support local! Now seams coming apart on brand new £61 (each) sweatpants. I was conditionally offered a refund (great!) but I have to pay shipping and it’s vague. I suggested fixing them rather than discarding and a refund, nope, I’ll need to send a tailors receipt to get ‘some’ of it refunded. Giving up after this last experience and don’t recommend.
Disappointed in sizing
I was very disappointed in the sizing for trousers that I recently bought and returned (at my own cost!). I was sized as a 12 but they were far too big. I’d hesitate at buying anything more despite the cool, sustainable credentials and quality material and workmanship. Free returns might make a difference
Great quality but sizing can be tricky
These are high quality, well-priced items of clothing which you feel are built to last. As I've mentioned in a previous review I'd happily buy my entire wardrobe from here if it weren't for the fact that I find the sizing to be tricky. I'm a size L for pretty much all the clothes I buy elsewhere, but the L-sized CC clothes tend to be on the snug side, particularly tops and trousers. I've exchanged for XL but the size up tends to be too big. I seem to fall between sizes unfortunately.
Great ethos but poor quality and non-existent customer service
I came across Community Clothing on Facebook and was sufficiently impressed to make a first order of a pair of jeans. They arrived reasonably promptly and superficially looked OK, but the sizing was completely out; correct inside leg but around two inches out on waist. I was surprised as the curt automated response - apparently their incorrect size labelling is my fault and I have to pay for the return. The idea/concept of CC is great, but they really need to sort out their quality issues and poor/unresponsive customer service.
When they say things will shrink in the wash, they mean it.
I ordered a long sleeved polo shirt and a short sleeved polo shirt. The website description of these products says to expect some shrinkage in the wash, maybe up to a whole size worth. I worked out that I was between XL and XXL so ordered XXL.
I washed the long sleeved garment and they were right. It shrank. A lot. And not in a uniform way. It's now considerably shorter in the body and arms but pretty much the same width as it was before I wore and washed it. I suppose I should have believed them and decided that I was not a suitable customer as I would end up with a garment that's too small, there not being scope in their sizing for me to risk a whole size's worth of shrink. I haven't worn the short sleeved one yet, maybe if I hand wash it the shrinkage won't be so bad.
It's a shame as the company ethos is good and other things I've ordered from them have been good (although I've not had great experience with the menswear, my wife's done fine). Would be nice if they re-stocked some of their larger sized men's trousers a bit more frequently too.
Waiting over a month for a refund on a faulty item
I ordered the wax jacket for my partner's birthday. When he opened it we discovered it was faulty on the pocket and not sewn correctly. The size chart is also misleading and their sizing comes up very small. Due to the item being faulty I requested a refund. It's now been a month and I'm still waiting for the refund I was promised had been organised by the team at Community Clothing. I've had to follow up again. I am really disappointed in the length of time and how painful it's been to get my money back, it's not how to treat customers if you want them to order again. And as I can see the response to these is always to ask for the order number the order number is
Order 100974
Watch out for the 14 day return period…
Watch out for the 14 day return period which is legal but not typical and not clear on the website. The courier didn't send a notification on delivery so I missed the delivery for a few days. I ordered two shirts in different sizes and now can't return the one that was too small. Annoying as they are quite expensive. Update - I emailed and CC offered a late return.
The shirt (Olivia) that I kept looks ok but gets very very creased in the wash and is difficult to iron. Overall I don't think I will buy anything else even though I am supportive of the ethos.
Great tee shirt
I ordered a plain white tee shirt. It arrived promptly and I’m so impressed with the quality and fit. Beautiful thick cotton, lovely style and quite flattering.
Zero customer service and no refund yet!
Appalling customer service / actually, no customer service whatsoever!
I ordered a camisole, looks lovely and long on the model, it is just as short as any other I can buy on the high street. I ordered a size larger than I am and I'm only 5'4 so not exactly tall.
I really wanted to love this first purchase and would have bought again was it not for their lack of service.
I immediately requested a return, the auto-response said I would receive further instructions. 4 weeks later and I've not had the return instructions/reference or any response to my 4 emails chasing! I will certainly not be recommending them.
It will cost me around £6.00 just to try them and that's without taking into account I'm still £19.50 out of pocket whilst waiting for the refund.

Exceptional quality to price ratio
Ordered two pairs of jeans from Community Clothing and these products punch above their weight on the quality to price ratio.
I've received so many compliments every single time I wear these with people mistaking them for high end designer and Japanese denim brands.
The fit also suits a feminine figure with a higher rise at the back for their wide leg and barrel leg style.
Giving four stars as I would urge everyone to check the recommended sizing per product. I was able to get away with my regular size on the baggier fit, but had to go up a size for a more tailored fit.
Despite this I will be back for more as the range expands/updates.
