Great shirt, UK made and sourced. Supports traditional trade and craft - Community Clothing is definitely a business for good, which you can't say about a lot of clothes manufacturers.

Poor quality of cotton and paying to return
The quality of the clothing was not as expected. The cotton vests felt very rough and were also very short in length. Not the high quality I was expecting and to add insult to injury have to pay to return when the quality is so poor. I also don't care for faux ecological statement about why they don't offer free refunds or exchanges - the true reason is that they know more items would be returned due to the lack of quality.

Such a shame that an otherwise ethical business falls short on disability equality
I love what I’ve bought from Community Clothing, and I’m happy to pay a premium to support an ethical business model. However, I question the decision to charge customers for returns when this can place disabled customers at a particular disadvantage.
As a disabled customer, I value being able to assess whether an item of clothing is suitable for me. Yet returns aren’t always about changing my mind or simply deciding I don’t like something. Fit, trim, stitching and buttons can all affect whether a garment works for me, and these are factors beyond my control.
I also found the returns process confusing and costly, particularly when I needed to return an item without a box because of my adaptive needs. I emailed for help, but my questions weren’t answered, leaving me with the impression that my message hadn’t even been read.
This is such a shame, because an ethical business should consider not only how its products are made, but also whether its customers can access them on equal terms.
It feels unfair to place the additional cost of trying and returning clothes disproportionately on disabled customers, who may need to order items to assess their suitability but cannot know in advance whether they will fit or meet their needs.
Given that you offer no alternative through physical shops or accessible return venues, I believe free returns are a reasonable expectation. They would help ensure that disabled customers are not financially disadvantaged simply because we face additional barriers when buying clothes.
**Ethical business should mean ethical treatment of customers, too — and that must include disability equality.
Great clothes and Circular Economy
Great clothes, so well made and I totally believe in the model of buying in the UK, making in the UK and keeping the money in the local communities. A true circular economy. We need to do so much more of this.
I’ve bought trainers, tops and blazers, everything so well made!

This is just the kind of casual autumn and winter "suit" look I have been searching for.
At the price the jacket is an absolute bargain.
At £2.50 I opted for the "free return" based on size. No problem with that, nor the quality.
Thank you to all at Community Clothing.
Excellent durable quality
The quality of the lambs wool cardigan I bought is superb. I’ve worn it regularly for over a year and there is virtually no wear and tear. As a result I’ve recently bought another in a different colour. Yes the cardigans aren’t cheap, but I’m sure they will outlast all the other knitwear I have.
Top notch
I bought a pair of jeans and they were so good I went back for a jacket!
Great quality items - you can feel the craftsmanship as soon as you put the clothes on. I am looking forward to wearing them for many years to come. They arrived quickly too, which is nice.
Shout out to the company ethos too - good quality gear, made by people paid properly for Thier work and using sustainable materials. That's a world I want to live in
Some of the negative reviews mentioned the returns process. I had to use it as I ordered the wrong size jeans initially. Yes I had to pay postage for the return, be t the reason for that is well explained on the website so it wasn't a surprise - and in my experience they are hardly the only company to ask you to pay the return cost.
Other than that the returns process was simple and efficient - very easy to use.
For the second item I actually used the excellent guide on how to measure myself properly to get the right size, and behold - the jacket fits!
Sweatpant seams breaking apart
Have bought a lot of garments over two years and overall have been pleased and believed the statements that the garments would be durable and last longer with care, which I have been careful to do but recently noticed some sweatpants which I had only worn at home for two winters have been coming apart at the seams. They did not have heavy wear and were not a tight fit. The seams had not been properly sewn and I sent several photos to customer services showing the breaks in the fabric. I was told this was wear and tear which is incorrect and I could mend myself to stop further pulling of the fabric. I was shocked by this response, surely the seams should be examined, I have two other pairs of sweatpants and their seams are both secure. Extremely disappointed, I have no trust or faith now in Community Clothing.
Women’s cotton crew neck, denim marl
Bought the women’s cotton jumper and it’s absolutely gorgeous. The quality is far far above your standard high street jumper. I’m going to love wearing this and it’s so well made I’m sure I’ll keep it for many years.
I’m between a size 10 and 12 and had to exchange for the 12 as 10 on small side, especially in sleeves. Lovely shape, lovely colour….did I say…I love it!!

I have recently bought a rugby shirt from Community Clothing, it’s my third purchase.
I am so happy with my shirt, I love the quality of the cloth and way it’s put together. It fits do well and the sleeves are the right length. Of course, the most important thing is that it was made here in the UK. Value for money in my opinion.

Disappointing quality - faded on first wash
I bought the Wilkie Kuba Print Swim Short for my husband. He really likes them, wore them for the first time yesterday, and I washed them today (followed the instructions to the T). The colours have turned muddy and faded and they're now a dark grey as opposed to blue. I've never seen anything like this before and am so disappointed - I'm a new customer who loves their philosophy but now not trusting in the quality of any of their goods; reading through some of the reviews this does not seem like a one off but a recurring issue.
For £85 I'd have expected a much better quality then only worn once before fading.
I also find their returns a little restrictive, cost me quite a bit to send back the jeans but they were refunded properly. I likely won't be buying anything else from them. Disappointing.
UPDATE: I've sent the shorts back for a full refund; customer service was very good to deal with.

A disappointing first experience.
This was a disappointing first experience of using Community Clothing. I ordered a jacket and used the provided size guide tool to identify the size I needed based on the information fed into the tool. When the jacket arrived and I tried it on, it was way too big for me. This was so disappointing as I really wanted the jacket and wanted to support a company using British-made goods. Unfortunately, CC don't do exchanges, so I had to send it back at my expense. Annoyingly, the smaller size was out of stock, so I ended up paying close to £8 for a jacket that had been wrongly sized and had to be sent back at my expense (the original postage from CC was deducted from my refund). It will certainly make me think twice about using CC again, especially if the sizing suggested is wrong.

Love the ethos of the brand and the exceptional quality of their clothing. I've bought many items from here and loved every single one. I had an issue with a pair of trousers that faded in colour after one wash - a like for like replacement was arranged free of charge (I just had to pay postage to send the faulty pair back).

I just listened to ‘less’ by Patrick Grant on audible who is behind this company and bought a Breton stripe top. It’s great quality - very happy. His book has spoken to me at a time in my life when I want to take more responsibility for what I spend my money on. Would recommend

Please allow customers to review sizing!
I like the ethos of the company - but I used their sizing tool to buy a pair of the (women’s) Work jeans in the lightweight material, and the recommended size was way too big. Even the fly seemed to be cut bizarrely wide, making a weird bulge. The second part is my fault due to busy-ness, but I decided to risk a hot wash to try to shrink them rather than returning them, and they are still unflatteringly big - with a tonne of material across the seat. I think they should allow reviews on the items so that people can comment on sizing. I am a pear-shaped size ten so a size ten in trousers might generally be a bit loose on the waist but fit on the hips. These are definitely at least a 12, maybe even a 14. I wonder whether this was the result of corner cutting in the cutting process. I’d like a pair of Work trousers for the winter, if they would fit me, but I am wary now.

Incredibly Well Made
I have about 5 pieces now from CC, all are without exception incredibly well made. I love the fact I am supporting stuff made in Britain, how simple and elegant all their clobber is. Totally recommended.

Amazing clothing!! The recommended size guide is perfect too. I love the cut of the designs (raglan sweatshirt, camera woman trousers and knee length women’s shorts) and the fabric is top notch quality. I also purchased the Norman Walsh trainers which are true to size and really comfortable. I will definitely return for more in the future.

Expected better quality but good customer service
My order was delivered promptly and I found the sizes to be fine and comfortable. I had really high hopes for the quality of the t-shirts and wanted to buy British made. I’m really disappointed that after one 30degree wash both t-shirts side seams have twisted, meaning they haven’t been cut parallel to the selvedge of the fabric. I really expected these to be made to a higher standard given the price and the brand. I will still wear them and try to iron it out, but expected better.
UPDATE: CC contacted me about the fault and offered a refund, which I wouldn’t have expected. Really good customer service in the end.

Order cancelled after a month of to and fro
I placed an order on 21st April, I got a notification from Evri that they were waiting on my order. I contacted Community Clothing at the beginning of May approx 7th. I was told my order had been cancelled by the warehouse due to a labeling issue but if I wanted to wait a few days my order would be despatched via DPD once the labels were corrected. Nothing happened until I contacted them again this week and I was told that the item was now out of stock and we will refund you in 5 working days. I could have had a refund 3 weeks ago of I had been told that I wasn't guaranteed the item. All in all extremely poor show. I do wonder if having a Northern Ireland address may have had something to do with the stock out and refund, although to be fair it wasn't mentioned by CC.

Womens wide leg jeans
Got the wide leg jeans in black in size suggested, great fit at waist and hips though about 5cm too long, got them taken up and love them - got them again in dark blue, had to be taken up 5cm again, washed once and have shrunk in a 30 degrees wash in all directions, so disappointed - the black ones have had a couple of washes and are still fine.
