Myself & my husband took my mother & auntie - in - law on the tea & cake experience. We turned up at the wrong platform - totally my fault. But the staff were amazing. Super helpful, super friendly & very understanding. We boarded the steam train and found some seats. The journey was so nice and relaxing. Great views. Very yummy Victoria sponge cake and tea. Had the best time and are now going to book to take the grandchildren on for the polar express experience in November. Highly recommend for a fun day out

Just slightly disappointed with the views along the journey…

From meeting the very first person the excellent experience started. Very welcoming and ultra helpful. Each and every staff member added to the excellent service. I can't praise them enough.
Loved the train ride, and jacket spud.
All in all a fantastic day, and such great value for money.
I've spread the word as such a great all round experience.

The staff were exceptional, kind, caring, helpful, thoughtful and patient.

We've used them the last two time we have been in the area, my little lad loves the service.

What an absolutely lovely day we had .All the staff were amazing on the station and on our train journey. The food was wonderful.
Of course the train it's self was beautiful so well taken care of

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience and would like to congratulate all of your staff on the happy, willing customer service that they all had in common, the train ride was a very good representation of how rail travel used to be in days gone by and covered a good distance, which was futher than we had anticipated.

The on site facilities, station building, shop, tea room, toilets ( a standard other businesses need to aspire to ) were to an excellent standard as was the food provided which was served hot.

The option to purchase your tasty pies on site to take home may be something worth considering.

Couid I please request that a little more polishing be done to the Pete Waterman brass sign on the platform wall which may otherwise be missed.

We both feel that our day was extremely good value for money and will be highly recommending the experience to all our family and friends.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Lovely journey and scenery though marred slightly by engine faults. Will defo be back on one of the other deals you do but please, if you have a bunch of school children travelling, allocate a carriage adjacent to the toilet!!

From the reception staff to the young people who served refreshments on the train itself, everyone was most welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Not expecting particularly good food, choosing to do this for the train experience, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised at the tasty food offering. Both the ample portion of bacon and sausage were obviously locally sourced quality products served on fresh baps.
A relaxing train journey taking in the gorgeous Churnet Valley; it was great to view from a different angle being regular walkers along this trail.
All in all a different but most enjoyable way to spend a relaxing Saturday morning; we hope to maybe try one of the other experiences and hope they will be just as good value and enjoyable.

Great from start to finish. Good value for money. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

The whole experience was informative and interesting. The whisky tasting was fun and we learnt a lot about them. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

The staff were amazing from the time we arrived and throughout the journey - very attentive and great service.
Food - outstanding. Good portions and very tasty.
The sausage and mash was delicious.
Would definitely do this again. An excellent way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The time passed so quickly.

Enjoyable trip. Generous bacon butty on lovely soft bap and hot drink. Relaxing and plenty of choice of seats. Well organised and relaxing.

It was a lovely day, the train was fabulous, clean & comfortable. The staff were all lovely & efficient. The thing that let it down slightly was the main meal. The beef was so tough & thick cut it was inedible. The meal was also swimming in gravy, which isn’t to everyone’s taste. Saying that it didn’t spoil the day, it’s was lovely.

What a day! my partner and I went on a coffee and cake day, The staff were lovely, friendly and could not have done enough. Booking the experience was easy.
A real treat if you have the chance to go do so.
