I happened across the site for chronicunlocks after discovering my phone wouldn't work overseas without an unlock, and despite a little delay because of my having to use a VPN service to access their site that I couldn't get to (they were quick to check for fraud and contacted me personally about why I did), everything else went smoothly once I explained my situation.

I was contacted personally through email instead of having my order cancelled, which I really appreciated. The response I received was polite and very helpful, and the express service had my iphone 5s unlocked in three working days time and boy am I relieved I did! I would definitely recommend them to anyone wishing for an unlock service, they were truly amazing.

This is my first time using a service like this and I have to admit, I was skeptical. I did alot of research but landed with Chronic. They do experience times where there is high volume so the first time around, it took almost a month to get a status report on the unlock. Unfortunately for me, my phone was too new for the service I ordered and it got rejected.

When that happened, a refund was immediately given, so you can trust that they will handle that. I decided to get a different service (they change this information on their homepage regularly). This time around it took 2 weeks to unlock it so yes, this was very well within the timeframe. I am very pleased with this service. Chronic gets the job done. At first i went with xPressUnlocks as I had used them in the past. Now there are a lot of bad reviews out there in regards to them not responding and unlocks taking a long time. I submitted an Iphone4 AT&T unlock request through them and after 3 weeks and me threatening to call Paypal to get the money back, they said they were not able to unlock it and would send a refund (yet to see it).
I kept looking and came across ChronicUnlocks in a forum and gave it a try. I like how their order status is precise and within just a few days, not even a week, it was unlocked!!!

Just used this service, chose the Old AT and T option which goes for $39.99 as i skeptical that i could get the phone unlocked but to my surprise, the phone was locked as promised and it took just 6days.

I had an iPhone 5S in a really inconvenient and unusual situation. The company I'd been working for ran out of money, and I agreed to keep my laptop and company phone in lieu of my last paycheck. Unfortunately, my iPhone was connected to the company's AT&T business account, and they refused to unlock my phone because the final bill had not been paid, even though I'd paid my employer $320 for the early termination fee.

After trying for weeks to get a response from my old boss, I finally took matters into my own hands and decided to use Chronic Unlocks. I was dubious because the bill had still not been paid on the business account, and I didn't know if it ever would be. But I had just moved to the Czech Republic, and I needed my phone unlocked so that I could use my Czech SIM card.

I took a chance and ordered the service that gets you unlocked between 7-21 business days. It's not even a business day, but I just got an e-mail letting me know that my phone's unlocked! Put in my Czech SIM card and it works like a dream!! It's only been about ten business days.

As long as you have reasonable expectations and wait patiently (e.g. Don't go e-mailing asking for updates around Day 10 when you KNOW they have up until Day 21 to deliver), I'm sure you'll be super-happy with their service, too!!

Having tried several other so called legit companies, I decided to give it one more try to unlock my at&t locked iphone. With Chronic unlocks I had to wait longer than the "average completion time" however when I inquired via email I received a prompt response from Will. I ended up waiting over a month rather than the 10 days (average) that was quoted however at the end of the day I now have a working iphone.

Hello everyone,

I decided to go with Chronic Unlocks over other competitors because AT FIRST they seemed to be legit. When I asked questions they or the owner (Name) replied within the hour. So I went forth and purchased the 6-48 hour AT&T All IMEI Express service for an iPhone 5 on Monday, May 5th, 8:21AM PST. It is now Saturday, May 10th, 5 days later and I have yet to receive an unlock, refund or even an email.

My first attempt at contact was Thursday, May 8th I sent an email to [External Link] AND [External Reference] asking if the process had even been started yet or if it was just delayed. No reply.

My 2nd attempt on Thursday I reached out to (Name) via [External Reference] and again within 30 minutes he replied telling me to email him my IMEI number. So I do as he says email him hoping to get the phone unlocked that day or at least receive some kind of update. It is Saturday and still no word.

Now I know it may seem like I'm impatient but I paid $139.99 for EXPRESS 48 hour service. How is it that only some people are getting their phones unlocked and others are shunned without the service they paid for or their money back? If there is some kind of delay, a notice or email would be appreciated. Just a simple email makes the situation and the wait a whole lot easier. At the moment I am just feeling scammed. If you couldn't unlock the phone in the alotted time stated on the website just say so and give me my money back. But not replying to a customer is highly unprofessional and damages your credibility. We shouldn't have to hassle you or chase you down for an answer, it is your job to keep us up to date. 139.99 dollars wasted thus far....

Worst part of it all is this iPhone I'm desperately trying to get unlocked was a gift for someone. I sent it with the hopes that this wouldn't be an issue and that I did well in trusting this company to help me out but it seems I was wrong. Now the person already has it and since they live abroad they can't even use it.

With that said, BUYERS BEWARE, it seems like the service works for a few but not for others. Looking over their Facebook a lot of people are still waiting some even stating to have waited at least a month so far with still no unlock and weeks with no reply from Chronic Unlocks.

So FAIR WARNING to anyone thinking about using their services. I will post an update if anything changes.

Took 9 working days for the unlock, but it was worth it, unlock worked like a charm

I was surprised how good and how quick the service was, being so nervous to trust. My expected turnaround time was 2 to 5 days but it took just a little over 24 hours (Telus unlock). I didn't need to contact anyone, it just worked as expected. After I received my "iPhone has been unlocked" email from ChronicUnlocks, I just connected my iPhone to the computer, I opened iTunes and was immediately greeted with an "iPhone has been unlocked" message. That was it.
