*23rd April UPDATE - info requested sent day of this review reply (it hadn't been asked for before), IKEA had provided the refund to a card, Cheddar still have me out of pocket and dragging their heels, do not use for none-supermarket spends, I'll happily give them their £12 back! £410.91 is a lot to lose for £12!

£410.91 out of pocket, let me explain!

Single Parent moved house in February, didn't have anyone to help me build a wardrobe so bought one with Ikea via Cheddar along with Ikea's Taskrabbit assembly service.

Ikea sent the wardrobe incomplete, then they sent damaged pieces, then they said replacements had to come from Sweden even though they were in the local store as that's where replacement parts come from! All this is taking weeks. Meanwhile their Taskrabbit aren't sorting out someone to build. Enough was enough, we needed to get out of this fiasco and so arranged for a refund on it all and the parts to be collected. Ikea gave a complete refund immediately owing to them being at fault. Cheddar are now in their third week looking into 'request progress'. I have evidenced to them what has happened, they can see the money is back on the card. They can keep the £12 they discounted it by. JUST PLEASE REFUND ME. I never want to buy a thing from Ikea again and cannot afford to be this much out of pocket. I am not to blame.

In my view Cheddar is really only worth using for supermarkets if they are not prepared to refund in these no-blame situations. But then JamDoughnut would offer a better discount for supermarkets anyway!

Normally use with no problems at all. Had a problem in a bar last night and the support team sorted it out immediately. Very efficient - thank you!

Bought a gift card and when I tried to redeem it they said they didn’t accept any form of gift card in the store. However contacted cheddar and they offered a full refund for the gift card despite their policy being against it. Cash back feature works too! Great company

I bought a giftcard and unfortunately, it was the wrong one I bought. This was a GC from a company that does not refund. Cheddar helped me negotiate on an exceptional basis and my money was refunded.

I moved to UK last Oct and started to use this app. I like how fast they manage everything. In the meanwhile, the recent new features adding membership card of stores is the best. Cheers.

Super simple and efficient cashback, we use Cheddar as part of our everyday shopping lives now. We get discounts on everything from our daily shopping, to occasional treats where we have had as much as 7% off just by using the app! Amazing stuff.

I have used gift cards as a means of getting a small saving on every day purchases for a long while. Managed carefully on an annual supermarket spend, everyday items and clothing as well as holidays and other items, you can earn hundreds if not thousands of pounds (if a really big spender) back in cashback. Cheddar is super easy to use, has a great UI and UX and most importantly all you gift cards are held in one place and ready to use until they are exhausted and filed. The team there are also super responsive from a CX perspective so I'd recommend giving them a try.

I bought a gift card which didn't work at checkout. I asked for a refund and got it the next day. Customer support was easy to use and the issue was sorted out quickly.
