I had a very disappointing experience with Cheapflyshop. My card was charged twice, and then I was told I could not take the flight I had originally booked. I was told I would either have to fly from a different airport or change to a different day.

When I tried to get an explanation and understand what was happening, the agent was rude, repeatedly talked over me, and would not let me properly explain my concerns or ask questions. Being charged twice and then being told my original flight was not available was already frustrating, but the way the situation was handled made it much worse.

I decided not to proceed with them and would not recommend my experience to others.

I booked a flight from Vancouver to Toronto through CheapFlySales.ca for CAD 403.

Shortly after booking, I received an email asking me to call CheapFly.ca. It took several attempts before I finally reached someone. The first representative told me that the airline was supposedly going on strike on the day of my flight and that this was affecting my booking. However, after doing my own research, I found that there was no strike planned or taking place. This information was simply false.

When I spoke to another representative, I was given a completely different explanation. I was told that my flight was overbooked and that I would have to pay an additional CAD 370 if I wanted to keep my reservation.

I refused to pay this unjustified extra charge and asked for a full refund instead. I was then told that if I cancelled, I would lose the CAD 403 I had already paid. Feeling that I had no real choice, I paid the additional amount to keep my ticket. In total, I ended up paying more than CAD 770 for this flight.

Two days later, when I arrived at the airport to check in, the airline informed me that my travel agent had refunded and cancelled my ticket. As a result, my ticket was no longer valid, and I was unable to board the flight I had originally booked.

After spending more than two hours on the phone, dealing with repeated disconnections and extremely rude customer service representatives, I was finally rebooked onto a WestJet flight that departed eight hours later than my original flight. This only happened after I threatened to take legal action.

At no point did I receive an apology, compensation, or a refund for the additional money I had been pressured into paying.

Based on my experience, this company used misleading information to pressure me into paying hundreds of dollars more, then cancelled my original ticket without my knowledge, causing major inconvenience and unnecessary stress.

I strongly recommend avoiding this company. My experience was one of the worst I have ever had with an online travel agency.

Update: the ticket to the new destination was a fraud aswell. They issued a ticket so that i could enter the security area at the airport but then cancelled and refunded the ticket so that i believed to have a ticket which was valid, but it wasnt. This ended up in buying a new ticket at the counter for 1500$.

Emily was really supportive during entire process, i would recommend using cheapflyshop for good travel deals.

What made the whole experience a pleasure rather than a chore was the attention to detail, shown by every one we dealt with. Marc was the main port of call and i can honestly say he went far and and away above his job description, nothing was too much trouble, i can heartily recommend this company

J'ai eu un interloculeteur anglais alors que je parle français mais personne parle cette langue était présente. Cependant, il a cas même pris sont temps pour nous expliqué mots par mots même si de temps en temps il a fallu qu'ont utilisent un traducteur. Pour vous donné une idée l'appel à duré 50min pour une simple confirmation de chek-in. Une personne très patient, attentionné, gentil et à l'écoute. Definitely a scam business. Tickets were paid for, booking confirmed and an hour later I received a call saying an extra $1,000 was required to confirm and receive tickets. Definitely a bait & switch scam business!
