I waited 2 months from having LASIK at East Grinstead clinic to write a review and can happily say surgery was successful giving me the results I hoped and more as I have 20/20 vision.

I am a very nervous person and having worn contact lenses many years and refusing the opticians to touch my eyes. It was a very hard thing to have the eye checks completed, let alone face the biggest fear of having surgery. You do not have to worry at CFS the technicians completing tests are very thorough and inform you at every stage. Andorra was lovely and made me feel at ease and all the other technicians I saw. Also numbing drops are amazing, you cannot feel a thing!
I may have had a slightly different experience from most. I have had several trips into CFS. Thank you to Dr Daya and his team, they found an infection that I may have had a very long time and not cleared as when going to the NHS it doesn't get properly checked and dismissed as conjunctivitis. CFS helped me treat the infection before surgery could take place.
Having been in a few times I will say please allow extra time to what you have been told your appointment is. I am sure most people have been in situations where at a hospital you are kept waiting so yes you may experience it. Unavoidable delays happen and you have to remember you are seeing a busy surgeon (based in a few locations) who I would rather wait for. I only put my trust in Dr Daya and felt comforted he sees you all the way through up to surgery and even after care. I've had a check up with Marcela Espinosa-Lagana and she too was very informative and took time to explain things. Having researched for the best I was prepared to wait. (Take laptop they have internet) however Dr Daya was a little rushed at times so please be ready with any questions. I feel looking back I should have had a list and noted things, all is explained but if you don't remember things easily best take notes.

Overall I recommend CFS, a friendly place who look after their clients, clean and comfortable. Surgery staff were kind and considerate and I was very pleased to hear Andorra's voice on surgery day (as I had no glasses on pre surgery) in the surgery room. She made me feel at ease and gave me stress balls to squeeze! It's over very fast, again numbing drops are amazing. I can't say my recovery was a breeze I had very sore eyes for a few weeks, possibly from a bleeding cornea complication and high eye pressure. I am just glad Dr Daya and CFS are overseeing it.

I will always remember opening my eyes seconds after the surgery and being able to see and walk out, the feeling is amazing and waking up each day being able to see straight away. I was -6.5 pre surgery.

Thank you Dr Daya and all at Centre For Sight. I hope you are able to help many more people with their eye problems. I have been recommending you to friends and a few will be in contact to arrange checks.

Had trifocal lense replacement last summer and was life changing. Amazed by results and amazing service from start to finish. Couldn’t recommend enough.

From my initial consultation to the day of surgery and the follow up my experience has been excellent.
Everything was explained, my questions answered, and I was reassured throughout the process.

I am a consultant eye surgeon myself and have been performing cataract surgery all my working life. When it came to choosing a surgeon to do my own cataracts I had no hesitation choosing Sheraz Daya, medical director of Centre for Sight. He is a globally renowned innovator in cataract and refractive surgery. I had the surgery to both my eyes on the same session and have elected for multifocal lens implants. My journey through the center was exemplary, a truly well oiled machine as expected. The staff were all very efficient and courteous; their actions were purposeful and confident with no hesitation or doubt. Every step of the way there was accompanying explanation and although I did not need any of the explanations, it was very pleasing and reassuring to know that staff themselves have a good understanding of the purpose of their action and how all that contributes to a successful outcome as well as a happy patient experience. The surgery itself was brief in time and I felt no discomfort whatsoever apart from the odd pressure sensation.
It is now almost 4 weeks after surgery. My vision is excellent all round. I can see distance, intermediate and near without glasses. I would say I am now finally independent of spectacles, something I relied on all my life having been short sighted. As expected with trifocals lenses, I can see minimal haloes around lights at night which are not at all significant, at least to me. A very fair trade off for being able to read without glasses.
To sum up…a highly capable and skilled surgeon, the best in my opinion, coupled with the best technologically advanced equipment, amazing staff and venue, made for an unparalleled experience that had far exceeded my best expectations.

I have worn glasses with a +6 prescription for 70 years after my sight was badly affected by measles. I could not even read large print without glasses and driving would have been impossible. After being diagnosed with the start of cataracts earlier in the year I decided to consult Mr Daya at Centre for Sight who had been recommended to me. The initial consultation which lasted 2 1/2 hours was impressively thorough. After completing all the tests I saw Mr Daya who advised me I could have the procedure and it went ahead on 01-11-23. The operation was completely painless, in fact I fell asleep ! To describe the overall result, the best thing I can say is ......... WOW ! I am now glasses free with 20/20 vision, absolutely amazing.

The result of my eye surgery has been excellent - definitely 5 stars - no pain or complications and 20/20 near/mid and distance vision.
Admin not quite so good - hence the 4 stars overall.
Appointment times often not kept and ran late. Staff were very friendly and willing to please but they did not always manage to convey what was happening very well or consistently.

I had recently femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery in my both eyes at the centre for sight. The surgery was performed by Mr Sheraj Daya who is the Medical director and an eminent , highly relspected ophthalmologist of international calibre. I had premium trifocal multifocal intraocular lenses implanted in my both eyes. My postoperative recovery was uneventful and swift. Mr Daya is well supported by a highly skilled team of optometrists, nurses and administrative staff. I am very pleased that my vision is now good at all distances and I don't need prescription glasses anymore. Following surgery, I have experienced some well known minor side effects during night driving like rings and halos and dry eyes, blurry vision and sensitivity to the bright day light. I am well aware that with time these minor side effects will gradually subside due to the natural process of Neuro-adaptation. The centre for sight is a centre of excellence. I am a Medical doctor practicing Radiology and Imaging. Being familiar with high tech diagnostic imaging equipment, I was amazed and really impressed by observing very sophisticated technology and equipment used in the clinic and operation theatre. I will strongly recommend Mr Sheraj Daya to anyone who is considering to have Refractive Lens Exchange surgery.

I Had multi-focal lenses placed in both eyes at the Centre for Sight.

Excellent experience. The medical and administrative staff were professional, attentive, friendly and helpful.

The procedure was thorough and without any discomfort at all.

Can there be a more important thing in life than the preservation of our eyesight?
If during our lifetime, we have to make a decision regarding surgery to either improve or save our sight, it is crucial that we entrust treatment to the most accomplished individual that we are able to afford.

It was my ex wife who recommended Centre for Sight.
I was slightly nervous about having my cataracts removed and new lens fitted.
However, having had the procedure I can only say to
anyone considering it,the results are absolutely wonderful.
All the staff, from the girls on reception to all the nursing staff are extremely kind and considerate.

Fantastic result from the corneal cross-linking procedure done by Dr. Daya. I have great peace of mind that my keratoconus condition and eyesight has stabilized under his care - wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Daya.

They are amazing, gave me a life without glasses, everything about my sight on any distance is glasses free, the most professional caring people you could wish to meet on every level throughout the company, as far as my sight goes they changed my life for the better, thank you to everyone at centre for sight. Actual date of experience was around May 2017 but can't input that.

Have been so impressed with Centre for Sight. A perfect jigsaw as the whole team fits well together under Mr Daya, they are so professional and my surgery for glaucoma a Trabeculoplasty went so well. Six years ago I had cataract surgery where my total trust of Mr Daya began. This treatment will help me no end as type 1 diabetic to keep my eyesight good for as long as possible. Many thanks to him and his perfect team. Mr Daya has a passion for eyes that seems far more than a career to him.

There aren’t enough stars.
I’m an optometrist and I provide advice and education to other optometrists and ophthalmologists.
I wanted Sheraz Daya to perform lens implants as there’s no one I’d trust more with my eyes. I had trifocal implants in both eyes done one after the other in a morning visit.
My vision is incredible, my risk of what is called angle closure has reduced dramatically and I’m free from spectacles. Quite simply the best decision I’ve made.

The clinic goes through all the tests for your eyes, but it appeared to me just about everyone who I spoke to was railroaded into the expensive lens replacement

This cost nearly £9000. When it goes wrong, as it did for me, the impression given is of a company used to batting away complaints. A company with few complaints would bend over backwards to maintain good relations

Not this company. They offered for me to repeat the failed process, at my cost, again! Be warned

I was sold multi focal lenses. These worked ok for reading but no improvement to my long sight. I raised this twice with the company, they gave more tests and announced I was 20-20 (again based on reading!)

Within two years they failed dramatically and I struggle to see from the right. Incredible glare with driving at night bordering on dangerous

There are more responsible clinics. This isn’t one of them

Update- I took advice from one of the leading Moorfield eye surgeons. He says the multifocal lenses which were installed by these people very often lead to significant glare.

Oxshott medical informed me this 'glare' would go away, which was wholly incorrect. It is readily apparent that they give bad advice, and take no care if it goes wrong. Even when they were informed of the issue the attitude was, don't worry it will go away!

I LIKE MOST PEOPLE FELT SLIGHTLY UNEASY ABOUT HAVING MY EYES OPERATED ON,
BUT OH THANK HEAVENS I DID ,THE REAL JOY OF HAVING GOOD SIGHT BACK IS JUST UNREAL.THE STAFF AT CENTRE FOR SIGHT ARE TRULY WONDERFUL AT MAKING YOU FEEL AT EASE.
