CDS has been maintaining our generator for years and never had a problem. In a word, CDS is...DEPENDABLE!!!!

This job is not complete.The electrical connection by the utility company BG&E has not been done neither is the county inspection.Parts of the generator is missing and the foundation is terrible.

I wasn’t home so I don’t know if all the items that were checked off on the list were actually done. This was preventive maintenance and extremely expensive but had to be done for the warranty.

I have dealt with many contractors in the past year due to home renovation. CDS workers are one if the few that cleans after the works, comes on schedule, polite and communicate with home owners clearly on what they are going to do.

Communication from the company was prompt and accurate.
Service persons were skilled, courteous, and tidy.
Contacting the company with our questions brought immediate responses.

Everything was accomplished in a straight forward manner; owners requirements were requested and adhered to. Job was complicated by having to tie into three 200 amp service panels but the job was finished on time. BTW, we had a power failure two days later and the equipment ran up fine. A great real world test!

This is my first time using CDS and it’s been a great experience - from the first person who explained all the maintenance contract choices to the guy who serviced my generator. They were both knowledgeable and patient. And they made it clear I could call with questions anytime.

From start to finish, the process was not handled well. There were too many delays and the professionalism of some of the personnel was sorely lacking. I got into a shouting match with two technicians. One of the technician was dishonest when providing the price for additional equipment needed to complete the job. Near the final visit, it was determined work was not properly completed (only the basement level worked during the test) and the customer was not allowed an opportunity to confirm the circuits prior to the test.

Always very responsive from receptionist to the techs. Reasonably priced as well.

Everything was installed on the dates that were initially established. All of CDS staff were extremely responsive and knowledgeable. The electricians who installed the generator were on time even though they were 120 miles away. The work they did was outstanding. While they were working they maintained a neat and clean worksite. They were professional and respectful. The weather wasn't the best (rain and 39 Degrees), but they never let that get in the way of completing their work.

CDS described the process and schedule and implemented the project exactly as described. Whenever I had a question, they had a clear answer.

Jake was very friendly and knowledgeable about my system. He answered all questions. Look forward to working with him in the future.

My husband and I started the journey to have a whole home generator installed at Home Depot. Shortly, a representative from CDS home services, authorized Generac dealer, contacted us to review our home size and to establish the correct size generator that we would need to meet our needs. We did have a delay because while we had gas service to our home, the pressure was not sufficient to handle the generator. So we had to go through BGE, and after quite a few delays we finally got a date for them to install new gas lines, put in a new gas meter, etc. . I’d like to add that McAllister Plumbing did all the in house installation of the gas lines. Just to mention since we were having all this work done, we went ahead and had McAllister install a tankless hot water heater. They did a terrific job. I want to mention we approached this project very methodically. I got three estimates from very reputable companies, but I did go with CDS after reading the history of the company, their estimate was very much in line, fair, and the contact that I had had with the employees was exceptional. This is not an easy project. It involves tremendous coordination between the homeowner, the company that you select to install your generator, BGE, and then, if you need an upgrade for your gas, that has to be considered as well. I must say from start to finish, CDS employees were exemplary. I was kept informed by personal phone contact or email as each step of the project was performed. My first contact was with Dana and I’ve, as the project moved forward, interacted with Tash, Denise, Jay. There were many different crews that came to the house during the installation process….. the delivery crew that brought the generator, the company that installed the new gas lines, there were several different electrical crews as well as the company that installed the new gas lines on the inside of the house. My point is that every installer, worker that came on my property was so efficient, very polite, and truly answered each and every question or concern that I had. They went out of their way to educate me and to point things out about the operation of the generator. In particular, Brandon was very helpful in assisting me connecting my home link service to the generator and then of course to my phone. Dealing with CDS Home Services has truly been a pleasure. The personnel appeared knowledgeable and availability of assets was excellent. No real effort was made to repair damage to my yard caused by burying the electrical line. Same issue after final installation of panels inside and outside the house. Also, the no real effort was made ensure the I as the owner was comfortable and understand operation of the generator or how the mobile app worked. Appeared he was in a hurry to depart.
