Iv just passed my class 2 today over the moon.Couldn’t iv done with out the help and support off all the instructors.

Professional staff members that won’t give up on you no matter how many times you’ve failed.Always there to help with any issues on and off the road. Special thanks to my instructor Andy really great guy, a true professional. All in all absolutely loved the experience from start to finish. :)

I had a fantastic experience training with Craig Baker Driver Training for my HGV licence. From start to finish, the team was professional, supportive, and extremely knowledgeable. The instructors are patient and experienced, and they explain everything clearly, making even the more challenging parts of HGV driving feel manageable.

The training vehicles were in great condition, and the lessons were structured to build confidence step by step. What really stood out was how much the instructors genuinely care about helping you succeed—they tailor the training to your needs and make sure you’re fully prepared for both the practical and theory elements.

Thanks to Craig Baker Driver Training, I passed with confidence and now feel fully ready for life on the road. I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality, reliable HGV training.

What bothered me most was feeling like I had invested money and received nothing of real value in return. The lack of organisation and follow-through made the whole process stressful and completely unenjoyable. I expected a professional service, but instead I was left chasing information and waiting for things that never materialised.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. I strongly suggest looking elsewhere if you want reliable training and proper support.

I want to start by saying the driving instructors themselves are absolutely brilliant. They know their stuff inside out and adapt their training style to your character and experience level. I trained with three instructors from Sheffield:
• Andy – my main trainer. Solid bloke, experienced, easy to get along with, and genuinely helpful. He let me get on with what I was already confident in and stepped in with guidance when needed. Proper lad and can have a great laugh too.
• John – not the calm, gentle type, but in the best possible way. He tells you straight, no sugar-coating, and gets you on the right path. And that’s exactly what you need when you’re handling a 44-tonne vehicle. Direct, firm, honest, and genuinely focused on making you safe and ready.
• Seb – also brilliant. Easy to talk to, helpful, and knows his stuff.

These instructors are the only good thing about this company, and they deserve far better treatment than they get.

❌ Now for the bad — which is everything else other than the instructors.

From the beginning, unless I was paying right there and then, they weren’t interested in helping or giving proper information. As soon as I paid, suddenly everything moved — because they wanted the money, not to actually explain anything.

I used Snap Finance and asked three separate times if everything was included: Pass Plus, Pass Protection, the full package. I was told yes, absolutely everything is included — which turned out to be a lie. The things I financed were never added to my package, leaving me out of pocket straight away.

When I tried to sort this out afterwards, management did not care one bit.

I asked to be compensated for the Pass Protection I was told I was paying for but never received. They refused and shut me down instantly. They blamed it on the staff member being sacked — but that doesn’t change the fact I was mis-sold something I paid finance on.

I spoke with Lee, the manager, around four times.
Honestly, he was awful to deal with.
He spoke to me like shit, spoke to his staff the same way, and had no respect for customers or instructors.

He agreed that “when you pass, we’ll see what we can do,” but once I passed they did absolutely nothing. Instead, they used my Pass Plus as if it was Pass Protection, so I ended up paying more and getting less, and didn’t even get the extra hours I paid for.

I asked for a call back from Craig himself at least four or five times — never got one.

In the end I would stay a 1 star but I did pass with them and the instructors are mint so a 2 star from me but a 5 star for instructors, Andy John and Seb

Passed my Car to class 1 at the Sheffield branch today Andy,John and sab was brilliant can’t thank them enough all 3 know there stuff and made the test a breeze to pass.

wouldn’t even give Craige Baker HGV Learning a single star if I could. This place was a complete waste of time and money. The training was disorganized, the instructors unprofessional, and the overall experience was frustrating beyond belief.

All the reviews are fake the shitiest company in whole of UK paid them two times for tests and won't let me give it will keep on taking money from you for lessons and racist towards people of colour and muslims

Start to finish the whole process was smooth. Passed my C1 today first time with zero minors thanks to my instructor Petro. Very friendly and professional. Had my bad habits nailed within 5 minutes. Thanks Petro for all your help and guidance.

Passed my hgv partical test today with Craig Baker driver training, absolutely brilliant guys, so helpful and helped me with everything I needed to pass first time, would definitely recommend you to choose them, thanks guys your the best !!!!!

I passed my CE today in Standish.

I can't recommend Craig Baker and his team enough. Everyone who I have come across in the Standish branch has been exceptional, incredibly experienced, friendly, and informative.

I can't thank them enough for what they did for me, everyone from Julie, Petros, and John were amazing, especially Chris B for being patient and blunt with me, pointing out my mistakes, which allows me as the driver to correct said errors before test day.

If I could give 6 stars I would.

I successfully passed my practical on-road test this week through the Sheffield branch (Aston - Junction 31) and have now therefore achieved my C+E category licence.

I can honestly say that the whole experience was great from start to finish. The entire training team and my instructors (Andy, John & Sab) were brilliant and provided excellent guidance throughout. Their overall driving experience and knowledge were invaluable and I couldn’t praise them enough. I had a thoroughly enjoyable time during my training and would recommend anyone considering doing this to use Craig Baker Training. 👍🏻

I passed my C+E test today with Craig baker, Chris was my instructor, brilliant guy very informative and professional, makes you feel welcome and will support you right the way through. I’ve had a great time training this week and a good laugh along the way. I highly recommend these guys to support you through any driver training.

Been outstanding learning my category C with Craig baker driving school COVENTRY Ray is excellent instructor from start to finish he’s been really patient with me as I was a nervous at the start he will always teach you the best and safest way and the easiest way to get you through your exams and practical test from start to finish it’s been great and I look forward to doing my category C+E In the future I would definitely use Craig baker again And thanks again Ray for putting in the hard work with me YOU THE MAN!

I can’t thank the team enough for helping me achieve my Class 1 licence in Sheffield. Craig Baker was brilliant throughout – patient, professional, and made the whole process much less stressful. Andy was a fantastic instructor, explaining everything clearly and giving me the confidence I needed to pass whilst also having a good laugh. Lee was also a huge help with getting everything booked in and helping me out as much as he could.
The support from all three – Andy, Jon and Lee – has been amazing, not just with the training but also with guidance around jobs afterwards. I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking to get their licence.

Did my training and passed first time with Ray at the Bedworth depot. Ray was brilliant. Very friendly, explained everything really well, offered tips on where to improve and most importantly showed belief in me. Highly recommend both Ray and Craig Baker driver training. Thanks guys!

Started learning HGV Class 1 through Craig Baker and can honestly say they are amazing. I did 20 hours of on road training and am happy to report a pass, all the instructors are knowledgeable and friendly and are quick to iron out any faults in your driving. I would thoroughly reckoned using them for and driver training.

Had a great experience with the lads at craig baker at the Aston/Sheffield yard got me through my class 1 first time with only one minor. I can not thank Andy and john enough for putting up with me for 7 days. Also any questions I had about the mod 4 cpc which I breezed through with 100% marks. Fully recommend these lads and the training given 👌 absolutely bang on

The instructors where very supportive and reassuring all the time
Gave lots of advice and got someone who was quite nervous through her coaches test

I had Andy as my instructor for the week, a spot on guy that knows his stuff. He helped me work towards my driving test and I ended up passing my CLASS 1 HGV first time. Couldn't have asked for a better or more professional instructor.
