Product selection assistance...great advice
I appreciated the input and guidance in assisting with choosing the right HRV and controller for my home. As I would be installing myself; additional input "purchase the ducting locally to save in shipping costs" was well received to save some $.
The only constructive criticism I can offer... wiring for the controller could be beneficial to offer when purchasing... especially the most expensive model.
Although I've not had the opportunity to utilize the unit (Venmar Air Exchanger A160H65RT | AVS N-Series with Virtuo Advanced controller) much as I like to leave the windows open in summer; I am confident that it will work well throughout the colder months experienced in North Eastern Ontario. Particularly, as I heat with wood and my newly constructed home is very 'tight'.

Venmar manuals typically contain all the required electrical wiring information for your electrician to follow during installation; if you found that the documentation was not there or is incomplete, please feel free to write us an email with the exact details you found missing and we would be glad to share that information back to Venmar for their review and future inclusion.

Higher markup and good Cx service
As a online retailer they are automated and well organized and responsive.
However their markup is significantly higher.
They refuse to price match.
The saving of being a online retailer are not shared by customers and infact u pay more for the hvac equipment. I spent 5500 plus hst and found it was 600 more than competitive price elsewhere.
Good customer service, but unreasonable pricing

got screwed on shipping price
basically bought a light switch. it was a air exchanger switch. very small. they dont tell you the shipping price until you check out. $26.69 to ship it. unreal. never buying from them again.
