Upfront they give you samples of their high-end voices, but after you sign up for basic -which is not free- you only get 2 voices that are mediocre at best. I was quite disappointed and asked for a refund. They convinced me to reluctantly accept because they told me that the limitations only applied to how much text you could convert at one time (5k characters) so I used it for a couple of months off and on. Then just the other day i attempted to do more than one 5k render and they prompted me for an upgrade, and I could no longer do more than 1 download!

When I complained they just said my window for refund had expired!

Scammers!

Speechelo Absolute SCAM COMPANY!! They offer a one-time fee for 47USD on Speechelo, clearly stated on the sales page that its a one-time fee, then after 3 months, they charge you anyway. I reported them to Paypal, as this is illegal. Absolute scam company!!! I have seen several people complaining about this on Facebook & and Reddit also.

I purchased this product and as it wasnt fit for purpose I asked for a refund within 2-3 days from purchase. I was refered to a customer support agent that told me the refund was confirmed and I should receive the funds back on my card asap. That happened in December 2020. It's now 1st of FEB 2021 and still nothing happened. I contacted support several times and all I got was check with your bank. Check WHAT ?
On top of that I am absolutely bombed with Spam emails every day ...... up to 10 emails per day at the most unprofessional level. The emails start with ''Andrew do you hate me'' ? LOL YES I DO MOFO !
Horrible experience with them....I don't encourage anyone to work with them.
I already started the chargeback procedures and I am seriously considering a lawsuit.

It wasn't great at first, but now the product has improved a lot.

I can't complain about the Speechelo suite of products, I bought into them all, but in the end I had to return them all for a refund as I had zero confidence in the company that was selling it. Other comments on this site have already covered the main problem - which is the over-use of 'dodgy' Internet Marketing techniques, which, like their webinars are so out of date and 'behind the times' when the actual product is very good. It reminds me of the competitions that Readers Digest used to run and gave you zero confidence in the company behind the product. Final warning - Buyer Beware!

I bought this product, I knew I would only use it rarely but it was a good enough product for me to invest in. I have had it six days and have received 23 emails from the company, telling me how great they are and how to use improve my productivity. I have unsubscribed four times, no effect, I receive enough junk mail, this is not funny.

I have there products and I find it to be the Best choice I've made in searching for such a normal voice speaking in several languages.
I used in many promotions video voice over. I use it in resort sales. Here in Arizona. I here many sales people ask who does your voice over. I tell them it's my professional voice over program from Sound Blaster.

I believe that the text-to-speech engine in Speechelo is actually Amazon Polly. That's why it is so good. I converted two identical text files in Speechelo and Polly. I exported both to MP3 and loaded both into Audacity and played them together. They were EXACTLY the same. I think the Speechelo UI is easier to learn. But, once I was used to Polly, I prefer it. I have no complaints with Blastersuite. However, the Blastersuite high-pressure promotion is a put-off. TIP: I edit my Polly MP3 files in Audacity to fine tune them. Often the sound of a single word is a problem. You can convert single words to voice in Polly or Speechelo using different contexts and punctuation to change the inflection, pitch and speed - then cut and paste the single word in Audacity. Also, it's easier to add pauses in Audacity.

I have used Blaster Suite for creating voice overs for training files that I believe sound OK. Most students have reacted positively to the voices.

Note: I have about 22 hours working with the software.

The software and user interface are exceptional. Some of the voices need tweaking, but they say they are constantly improving the product. I believe them when they say that. It seems the developers have a great deal of pride in their product.

To understand this you must know that there are several symbols that help you modify voice inflection and timing, but there is no documentation to explain what affect each of the symbols do, nor do they seem to want to tell you.

I sent two 13 second mp3 files three times and asked them to evaluate them to see if I could do anything different to make them better.

I expected someone to take half a minute to listen to the recordings and possibly take another few minutes to tell me how to make improvements. This did not happen. Each time I asked I received an answer similar to the following

"The only way to make the voices sound better, is to add more punctuation marks. Include more , ... , : " ' ! ?"

That would be great advice if I knew how each of those symbols affected the voices. Based on the complexity of the software and mathematical possibilities their support could be more specific. They do have a one minute video which in my opinion does not have enough technical information to be useful.

How hard could it be to create a chart for 10 symbols and indicate what affect each symbol has or could have on the voice?

They supply many voices in multiple languages 30 voices are supplied with the standard edition and 60 voices are supplied with the PRO edition.

I found a few English voices that did not sound mechanical. It is possible that I am not applying the symbols correctly and other voices would have worked as well, but since I did not have any documentation I did the best I could.

I found the AI voices work best, but I needed to upgrade to the PRO product to find multiple voices that worked for me. Out of 60 voices I was able to find 4 English voices (2 US English and 2 British English) that seemed to work for my purposes. I believe had I understood how to use all of the inflection symbols that number might have been higher. Only 2 of the voices were acceptable to he 10 students evaluating the material.

When I purchased their software I had problems with the browser so I was billed twice for the standard package and once for the upgrade to PRO (The double billing was my fault not theirs). I have asked several times for a refund and although it should be a simple process it has not been. If I understood their reply they want to offer me another free software package rather than refund the double billing.

I am wondering if there is a language barrier creating the problems, but on the other hand I would assume a company that writes this degree of technical software has someone on their staff that speaks and reads English with some level of expertise.

If you are in the market for text to speech software I believe trying their software using the current offer of 47.00 is a good idea. Evaluate the product, tech support and company and decide if you want to go further. Most people don't consider the time it takes to create these files. I have spent up to a half hour on a 13 second voice-over. If you are considering making many voice over files the relationship with the software company is paramount. You don't want to be in a position of starting all over with different software after creating hours of files. Even if you save the scripts another company's conversion software probably will not be the same. Don't let the promise of being a You Tube voice-over person seduce you. You still have to be able to use the software and do the work. If you are going to invest this amount of time you must have a good working relationship with the company providing the service.

It's the first time I've purchased from blastersuite and I will not be doing so again. The promises front end did not turn out after purchase. I emailed support and they replied with writing NOT 3 times in capitals and didn't even sign off the email.

Companies like this should be forced to be more open and transparent not using clever landing pages to force upgrade sales before proceeding.

These guys are supppppppppper shady marketers. I've bought most of their products, which seem so far to be good and legit. But then they upsell anything useful about it. Like if you buy thumbnail blaster, then you have to pay $17 extra a month for templates. And if you buy Keyword Blaster, they send you a link to register for a free live training. Then they say you missed the training (which is odd because you were there at the right time) and they off you 24 hours to rewatch the live training you missed. Then in that video they basically say the software is so powerful you can never learn to use it alone, so you need to pay them an extra $500 USD for the academy on how to use the software you already bought. Then you realize that the video is actually 2 years old (because of the google searches they demo in the "live training") and they have just been lying to you the whole time. I wasn't going to take the time to write this review but the a-hole keeps bragging the whole time in the "live" video (that's 2 years old) how honest and humble and transparent he is and how he wouldn't lie to you and cares about your success. I just couldn't take it anymore and had to write it. These guys are the kings of fake count down timers, impulse buying and straight up marketing lies. The most annoying part is the insult to your intelligence that they don't think you are smart enough to smell a 2 year old video they are pretending was just live 24 hours ago, while they talk endless about how all they care about is "trust".
