The maps update I purchased for my BMW 650i Gran Coupe was an excellent experience. The transaction was easy, the shipment was tracked and delivered on time and the install following Bimmertech’s online instructions were easily followed and installation was a success.

Couldn’t ask for more.

I do not recommend this product. I got the mmi prime for my 2014 f10 m5. Installed everything correctly myself which was not very difficult and it was confirmed by bimmertech that I installed correctly after sending them pictures. Product did not work as screen was black. They agreed they sent me a defective product and were willing to send me a new one for free. But at this point I was done with them and wanted a refund. They charged me 30% restocking fee and wanted me to pay to ship it back to them! This is in there terms and conditions but it’s egregious! I negotiated with them and they lowered it down to 20% and paid for the shipping. But there were some tiny minor scratches so they charged me the full 30% restocking fee! That’s $225 restocking fee on a $750 product that didn’t work! Horrible policy! I went with ZZ2 which doesn’t have the reported audio issues that bimmertech has. Had it professionally installed (that’s the only option) but it works perfectly! Don’t buy bimmertech!

Product shipped quickly. Very good instructions. Now that it is installed it will not work!!! Radio works the same. Nothing happens when I press and hold menu button for 3 s on the iDrive controller. I have started a ticket with them. I am not confident as before when radio didnt work Bimmer-techs $150 consultant could not diagnose problem. Turned out to be a bad amp. So I got a reply from them. They "communicated" with me but I did not see it however they do their communication. Now I have a replacement amp from Bavlogic that was coded for my car. Everything works except the Bimmertech MMI. When I have time I will take photos of the connections as they asked. So maybe buy a screen that does CarPlay instead of the MMI.

I ordered CarPlay MMI Prime from Bimmertech, and then wrote to them 10 minutes later explaining that I cannot afford it, can I change my mind and please cancel. They ignored that email, and shipped it a day later, then when I again wrote they said, 'well. if you had told us yesterday we could have canceled. but now it's shipped and you'll have to be charged a $160 fee if you return it!' - be careful with this company.

Excellent service, My BMW's combox needed to be replaced so i purchased a new combox and installed it after i ordered the combox activation and after i followed there pre coding session instructions and logged in it took roughly 30mins in total and after it was done everything worked perfectly

The USB drive for the mapping software came quickly and installing it was a breeze. Also have used the phone and chat service. Both we’re excellent.

I recently purchased two BMW codes for my 2016 X6, The codes came almost immediately even though I live in Australia.
The after sale support was over the top as I had an issue with the install, I emailed the support team and within 8 hrs I had the problem solved.
I would recommend Bimmertech to anybody that would like some upgrades to their BMW idrive system

I carried out a lot of research before purchasing the MMI Prime car play unit. Although the cost is high compared with other units. However the cost in my opinion is justified. The build quality is excellent in aluminium and secured with screws. The connections and cables are superb. The installation took me just over an hour. Most of this was removing the car trim and dressing the cables etc. I would strongly recommend you watch the install video on you tube. Once installed the interface is flawless and sound Superb. To date it has been amazing with no issues whatsoever. Highly recommended and if you like good sound quality in you BM you will not be disappointed.

It is an understatement to say that the original audio system in my 2022 BMW X5 was disappointing. After reading a few reviews I decided to try and upgrade the system and install the BimmerTech Alpha One amplifier. What an impressive improvement! In my opinion, with the amplifier the sound of the factory hi fi speakers is 100% better and well worth the investment. I will install the subwoofers next and leave an update on system performance.

The BimmerTech videos and installation guide are a must. The service techs are available, responsive and very helpful in demystifying the installation.

A big thumb up for the Alpha One amplifier and support group. I am very satisfied and would highly recommend BimmerTech.

I have a BMW 320d M that is 9 years old and though it still looks modern from the outside, I was always annoyed that when BMW sold me this 80,000€ car, they couldn't (didn't want to) install the updated entertainment system. I have since stopped using BMW and have a trusted mechanic.
Recently, I was in the US and hired a new BMW and found the Apple Carplay great. I actually thought about exchanging my BMW for a new one until I found BimmerTech.
I got the NBT Evo retrofit with touch display. I was very hesitant at first because I know nothing about cars and am generally pretty terrible at alterations, leaving it to the pros. But I was so excited, I just went with it.
I am still surprised at how easy it was, how helpful the technicians were and how great it looks - I have a new BMW again.
I'm sure there might be cheaper alternatives but messing with my car, I wanted to know that the company had my back in case I screwed up. This is a service BMW should offer, but they don't in Portugal - probably because they know that people might just hang on to their older cars for longer. I defanately will.

I bought a 2013 BMW x5 and needed to update my navigation. Was super easy to go on website and order my update.. instructions were super easy and loved the ease of installation. Being a sheriffs deputy I am glad I found a reputable company. These guys are incredible and highly recommend doing your business with them. Thank you!!!

I purchased the engine auto start stop and paid over $ 130.00 for the cable and the software changes. The change worked very well until a factory software update which cleared the programming change done by BimmerTech.

BimmerTech will not reinstall the software change unless I pay for it in FULL again and they state that the information provided states that the problem I experienced is identified in their information.

It is not and they are not and will not standing by their defective product.

Buyer beware.

We were looking to get Replacement FOBs for our MINI Coopers (we both drive them). We came across BimmerTech and were about to place an order.

Then we figured out that our local Mini Dealer (yes official full dealership) charges only $195 per fob. BimmerTech charges $299 (for our particular model).

So, we gave our business to our Mini dealer and the new fob worked perfectly and we saved $200 for two fobs!

Great and knowledgeable staff. They are quick to respond to emails when help is needed. BimmerTech has everything you’d need in your BMW. From retrofits to coding. You’ll need them all! They also provide loaded instructions with any item you order from their site, making it an easy diy. I’ve recently ordered a coding option which was a map update that completely changed the navigation on my I-Drive. Making it more accurate and and ascetically better! Thanks BimmerTech!

I recently purchased a BMW Apple CarPlay Cable Activation for my wife’s 2020 230xi convertible. The car did not come with factory equipped CarPlay or navigation. I researched to look for reasonably priced and compatible options. I am in the car business and have connections with local vendors, so I shopped around for options. The best pricing and option was a local aftermarket company that we do business with. They told me they could do a software upgrade to activate the CarPlay in my BMW. The said they would discount the pricing down to $899 plus tax from the normally priced $1199. I also put out a request for ideas on a local FB page MasaBMW. One of the group members recommended BimmerTech but said they were a bit pricy. So I looked on their website and found this Apple CarPlay activation for $399. It did also require coding cable and a Wi-Fi antenna purchase. All in the cost was $549 with no tax online. Albeit it did have to be installed but luckily I work with a tech savvy person that removed the radio to install the antenna and then programmed the software upgrade with a BimmerTech rep over the phone and internet. It was a relatively simple process and saved me $300-$600 versus the local aftermarket company option. Now that it is in it works seamlessly and I could not be happier. My my wife loves having her Navigation and other iPhone options on the radio unit. Thank BimmerTech for a great product solution and first class service

I’ve had my CarPlay MMI installed and running in my 2015 X6 for about a month now, and couldn’t be happier with it. Installation was really straightforward, and took about 2 hrs from start to finish. Any questions about the device were quickly and clearly answered before I bought it and when I was ready to install it. The PDF instructions and YouTube video for the installation were terrific. I recommend it highly!

The thing that made my experience great was how easy it was to get the right tool for my car. All you have to do is put your VIN in and the site shows you all the available options for your vehicle.

Great products, great support. Easy to install and use. Bimmer tech is amazing for any upgrades. Definitely a return buyer for my new X6 M
