The BMW Map update went well and hassle free for the E90 M3.
The maps are a bit out of date (2020-21) but much better than what was in the car (2014).
The notifications of delivery etc. to New Zealand were excellent, and prompt.

I dealt with CJ and Nelson, who both gave excellent customer service. The Alpha One speakers and amp are a huge improvement in sound and I would recommend the upgrade without hesitation. Thanks guys; a job well done!

This review is overdue, but I needed to test the product for a while first! When I first contacted Bimmertech to upgrade my BMW 3 Series E93 convertible, I spoke with Jorge. He was fantastic to work with, and he comforted me before my purchase and later at the shop, ensuring that my car would be in good hands while I waited at a hotel nearby, which he also recommended. My car was retrofitted with Speakers (all), Amp, CarPlay MMI PRO and backup camera, and a code, all purchased with Bimmertech and installed on the same day. It is a two-hour drive, and I dropped off my car a day before.

I made another appointment to return to Bimmertech a week after the installation because the HDMI cable was not exposed for me to plug in the Roku for passenger viewing. After minor clarification, Jorge had the technician do this little fix.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and even my little Yorkies waited with me at the shop while the techs exposed the cable. It was a well-worth two-hour drive, and enjoyed Orlando.

The appearance of the interior of my car has not changed visually, but the sound has improved exponentially!

It is good that Bimmertech customized the equipment to the acoustics of my car, and it is a pleasant experience to enjoy good tunes at its optimal volume and sound level without distortions.

I bought Carplay MMI Prime. It was a simple installation and my car feels like new. I can't describe how fast my phone connects to carplay over wifi, definitely faster than embedded carplays that comes with the car. You should definitely try

Was able to get Apple Car Play in my 2106 BMW 740I.. I am happy with the car play. I like the ease of the navigation function when driving in cities. Car Play also brings familiar I phone apps to my BMW screen. It is Also easy to switch back to BMW maps etc using the I drive system. The Bimmer Tech upgrade installation process was very efficient . The instruction for the online connection to the tech was easy to follow and worked very well.

Bought an Alpha One sound system upgrade for my '24 Z4 M40 since the system that came with it was bad. Sound is absolutely wonderful! Customer service is excellent and the technicians are eager to help. Highly recommend them if you want to upgrade your BMW!

Wont ship product. Okay here is an update. More of a lack of info then anything else. Lead time for shipping the remote start was 7 to 10 days. They had a supplier issue and could not ship. I had to initiate most communication and was not told of the supplier issue. Could have been more patient if they had let me in on it. So I asked for a refund and hit this site. Low and behold they wanted to give me a tracking number saying it would not take long to get to me. Shipping from overseas by the way. I had already decided I have done without a remote start all my life and am good with that. They offered a 5% discount which was nice to offer but kind of low ball. Long story short probably good equipment just not great communication. So I rescind the won't ship part just should have let me know about the supplier issue. Update, Got my refund but only after waiting a week and calling and inquiring. Said it was processed already then low and behold that day I get a notice refund was processed. Overall satisfied with resolve. Most if not ALL of the contact was started by me. Thanks

After recently buying my 2020 BMW I assumed that it came with Sirius XM installed, it did not. I searched the Internet for solutions and found out that it could be installed later, made some inquiries and discovered that through a BMW dealer it would cost about $550, I then came across BimmerTech and discovered that there was a way to remotely install it with a Bimmer technician, and that would save me about $100. I went ahead and bought the software package along with the plug-in cord required connecting my laptop to the car. It took about an hour working with the technician but successfully installed the XM capability. Works great!

I recently took a road trip: Ohio to Portland Maine. The intent was to enjoy the fall colors, so we took off-highway, basically country roads almost all of the way. My 2015 X5 had not had the nav system updated since purchase. Frequently, the nav had no idea where we were. We'd either follow whatever signs there were, use our phones, or just guess. Sooner or later we'd get back to somewhere that was in our nav's map.
I bought the map upgrade as soon as we got back. It took a few days for a magnificently packaged thumbnail drive to show up, and an email with instructions and an unlock code.
The instructions were precise and easy to follow. It does take a while, I think about 20 minutes to copy, unpack and install all of the files. The unlock code is a bit of a pain dialing it in with the BMW knob, select a letter/number but I got it in. Off it goes, and the wait to finish begins. No problems.
I've only driven locally since then, so haven't had a chance to see nav working on newly built roads. But I have a road-trip to Florida this month, and to Arizona next month. Great to have renewed confidence in the nav.

I recently purchased 2023/24 map update for my 2009 328I. I received the programed USB and instructions quickly. I had a little problem and called the service dept at BimmerTech and they gave instructions to re-try the setup and it worked without a glitch. I am very happy with the map update and help I received from the service Dept. They are a great company.

Honestly, BimmerTech seemed too good to be true. Having just used CarPlay for the first time I can now say it's as great as it seems! We were disappointed to learn that our 2018 BMWx3 did not come with CarPlay. The dealer initially said it could be installed from the app store, but that did not turn out to be the case! So I spent some time online and found BimmerTech and purchased both an antenna and a coding session from them.

The antenna was a pain - there is no way around that. The video on their website made it seem easy, and maybe it would have been on a regular 3 series. But the X was very different and I didn't feel comfortable doing it. Good news is the shop down the street did it for free! So just ask aorund if you have trouble.

The coding session was fast and easy and worked exactly like they said. The tech even stayed on the phone for an extra 15 minutes to insure everything worked properly. I was a bit nervous giving full control of my computer, but it all worked perfectly and I could not be happier.

So if you have any needs - use these guys! Amazing service, very responsive, results exactly as expected. So happy to have found them.

I have a 2011 BMW 328Xi which I love, but it lacks some of the newer features included in newer BMWs. The BimmerTech website allows Bimmer owners to enter their VIN to find available upgrades depending on your model. Updates can either be done by plugging in a USB into the glove box USB port or by connecting a cable to the cable port in your BMW. There were a bunch of updates which caught my eye, but as I was new to this process and a little nervous about how well a remote coding session would work, I settled on trying two coding session upgrades (digital speedometer & folding mirrors) to see how it would go. Upon purchasing the coding options, BimmerTech promptly shipped me the coding cable that is required to complete the coding as well as sent an email with instructions which outlined the software required. The instructions were very clear and I was able to download the software with no issues. After receiving the cable in the mail, I went to the BimmerTech site to schedule my coding session, expecting that it may take a week or so to get an appointment. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to get an appointment for the coding sessions the very next day. When the appointed time came, I logged into the TeamViewer software that BimmerTech uses to connect to my PC and then I instant messaged the coding technician with the passcode to the site. The tech was able to login and successfully completed the coding with no issues. I was pleased the the tech asked me to verify that everything was working properly before they logged off. As the first two coding sessions went off without a hitch, I also purchased the USB traffic update and a coding update for remote window opening. Again, I was able to get a coding appointment right off and again, no issues with the coding session. The USB update was easy, plug into the glovebox and follow the directions.

A couple of pointers to folks who might be thinking of a coding update through BimmerTech:
1. Read & follow the directions. They are pretty clear and I doubt you'll have issues if you do so.
2. Have your order number handy as the tech will need that when you instant message them to start the coding session.
3. The directions recommend using a separate device (tablet, cell phone, etc.) to instant message the technician as they sometimes need to communicate with you during the coding session and since they will be remoting into your PC to do the coding it makes it much easier to communicate if your messaging session is on a separate device.

I couldn't be happier with the service that I have received from BimmerTech and would recommend to anyone who wants some newer features on their BMW without the price tag of a new car.

I decided to get Apple Car Integration for my 2023 BMW 520 Series model, even though it's ironic that this feature wasn't initially available from BMW, considering our digital era. After browsing, I came across Bimmertech and was drawn in by their positive reviews and YouTube videos. I went ahead and ordered the recommended product based on my VIN number to ensure compatibility.

The process was relatively smooth. The coding cable was delivered to my Qatar location via DHL within two days. Following the preparation instructions, I scheduled a remote coding session with Bimmertech. During the session, their Coding Engineer efficiently completed the coding in around 30 minutes. I appreciated the fact that the engineer was in constant communication, addressing any queries or assistance I needed along the way.

Once the coding was done, the Apple integration was thoroughly tested, and a recommended sleep test of 12 minutes was performed to ensure seamless CarPlay functionality. I'm highly impressed with the service provided by Bimmertech. Their professionalism and attention to detail were evident throughout the process. One major plus is that their coding services don't impact the original BMW warranty in any way.

I had recently ordered the Video in motion and was amazed about the service and product. This item did provide hours of entertainment for passengers on our long road trips. Not only did I receive the item in days, it took literally minutes to install. I didn't need to wait for shipping since it was via email and easy to load to USB.
