All details were addressed, clear and honest. Staff who have us the key were friendly and always available for any inquiries or issues.

Need wifi, and some necessary items like salt, sugar etc.

I had a great experience staying with Big Bear Vacations. The customer service was excellent and I would highly recommend staying with them.

We booked a home back in September for our November trip and then days before our visit we received a voice mail and email stating the refrigerator in the house was broken and we were being moved to another location - which Big Bear Vacations considered "an upgrade". Now, we are not completely irrational people and we understand things happen, but unfortunately upon arrival the new location proved less than our expectations. The "upgraded" property was 1) pet-friendly and covered in dog hair. The couch pillows and under the coffee tables had dog hair all over them and made most of us avoid sitting on the couches. We intentionally booked a "no-pets allowed" house due to allergies. We spent the next few days loaded on Benadryl. 2) We rented the original house for the kitchen. We were planning an early Thanksgiving dinner with our family and the "upgraded" property lacked tremendously in it's kitchen. We had to purchase basic kitchen supplies from Dollar Tree and Kmart (measuring cups, decent mixing spoons, pot holders, kitchen towels, paper towels, large frying pan, and more). The oven racks slip out on a slant, causing food to spill, the dishwasher doesn't work, and the overall kitchen is sticky and dirty. We had to handwash all of the dishes before using them. 3) The "upgraded" property had a lot of stairs and they were slippery. We have younger kids (4, 5, 7, 9, 10) and we look carefully at the pictures of a property before booking. Unfortunately the youngest slipped going down the stairs. Thankfully she wasn't hurt. We still enjoyed ourselves, because we were on a vacation together as a family, but this being our first time renting through Big Bear Vacations, we were not impressed. The costumer service is mediocre, the property we stayed at, which was allegedly one of the best, was dirty and outdated, and a big disappoint. Vacation rentals are everywhere in Big Bear, we'll be looking elsewhere next time.

- Spiders (one between the bed sheets)

- Torn carpet = trip hazard

- Furnace cycled on & off every few minutes. A programmable thermostat would easily fix that annoyance.

- 4pm check-in, 10am checkout with fee for checking out even one minute late -- so you get 2-3/4 days for the price of 3 days

- 15-page agreement (leaving no liability/responsibility for management & owner)

This was the easiest booking experience I have ever encountered. The people at the front desk were extremely friendly when we checked in and the cabin was amazing. We will definitely be booking through BBV again soon!! Thanks for an amazing time!

We really enjoyed our stay with big bear vacations. Cabin was clean and environmental friendly. Definitely recommend this place.

Extremely accommodating, and assisted my girlfriend and I with late check in. Very speedy check-in and check-out process, loved that they were so on top of things!

Unfortunately my son left his $500 camera in its case at the house we stayed at. I called immediately and was told someone would go to the house and check. I had to call 3 times to be told they couldn’t find it. Very disappointed. My son is devastated.

Great cabin, super cozy, we felt right at home. Loved the hot tub under the stars. Beautiful trees, lots of quiet. We walked to the forest, saw bunnys, chipmunks, squirrels and many birds.
Reservation process couldn't have been easier.

We had a wonderful time and were very happy with our stay. There was no wifi or reception in our cabin, but we knew that going in, and it helped us disconnect for a couple of days. We would definitely come back for another trip.

I was suppose to get a call back from the management department and still no call. First couple hours we had no lights and I called and asked for help and waited with family at a cabin we paid for and could t enjoy it for the first few hours. Was hoping to get reimbursed a little but upset they didn’t even bother to call me back.

I had a great experience with Big Bear Vacations! The check-in and check-out was super quick, and the cabin was an absolute dream. I couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience, I'd definitely recommend booking with Big Bear Vacations and will do so again hopefully in the near future.
