I have been using Avemco for my renters insurance, ever since I have first purchase renters insurance. I am a member of a flying club, and the club also has Avemco insurance as their provider. My personal insurance is for when I use someone else's plane.
They were kind enough to call and make sure if I was going to renew with them, and I said that I was, and decided to take care of it right away.
I asked if they were able to send me a had that I use every time when I fly and other times too, and it came in the mail today, along with some "swag" and a nice card! A well appreciated gesture for my being a loyal customer.

I appreciate Avemco for issuing the insurance but it seems they wish to control the term of a pilots existence.
A physical every year when one is flying on a third class and has been deemed by the medical professional to competent for the two year term or if on the Basic Med which the Alphabet organizations fought so hard to get.
Then there is their demand to obtain a flight review annually when it's called a bi-annual and it calls for a flight review by a qualified pilot/instructor. I have an airplane that is experimental and 80 years it is powered by our company's engine. Two problems there are no qualified pilots on this particular aircraft within 300 miles. And none familiar with the power plant. 55 years ago it was the same with the FAA the gentleman who was to check me out had never been in the type,to be legal I would have had to check him out and without an instructors rating it was impossible so the out come was to fly it around the pattern and he would watch from the ground. I have over 3500 hundred hours in type. So my question without the logbook entry my insurance is void? Thank you in advance for the chance to state my case. PS anyone can die at any time from birth to death.

Honestly it’s super dissatisfying when I have been a client for years to be told because I renewed a few days late I’m now considered a “new customer” horrible service!! Will be looking for another option
