This is a horrible company. The sweaters I ordered look nothing like the photos and aren’t even sweaters. I don’t know what the fabric is. They offered for me to be refunded 15 percent in lieu of me shipping the merchandise back to China at my own expense. What a rip off.

It's a total scam. Products look nothing like the pictured item. Greatly reduced quality. Site says 30 day returns, however, you need to pay shipment back to China. Cost to ship is more than the clothing is worth.

What a scam! I wish I’d read these reviews before I ordered the lovely embroidered sweater in a “cotton blend” pictured in their Instagram ad - I couldn’t believe my eyes when I received a cheap, garishly printed, “100% polyester” shirt, Made in China. They did respond when I asked to begin a return, offering me the option of sending it back to China at my expense (which would cost almost as much as the item did in the first place) or accepting a 15% rebate and keeping the shirt. Fortunately I’d used American Express when I ordered it and they immediately credited my account for the full amount when I submitted photos and description of the sweater originally presented and what I received. They’ve always got my back, which is why I only use them for online shopping.

Wish I could give zero. They advertised what was described as a sweater with embroidered flowers and I received a cheap polyester Tshirt with garish printed flowers. Nothing like the photo and description!! And no paperwork for returning or response to emails. Learned my lesson to not impulse buy off Instagram without thoroughly checking reviews. Reported as a fraud on Instagram but then received a notice that Ada and June meet their community standards so I guess fraud is Ok on Instagram. Sheesh.

Bait and switch. Will not receive item as described. No response to inquiries.

The product received was a bait and switch item. Advertised as a lovey sweater actually a horrible t shirt. Cheaply made. Attempting to return but maybe out of the money. Live and learn. Do not purchase items from face book. There is no control over false sales on the site.

I can echo much of what previous reviewers had to say about Ava & June. Advertising is very misleading. The product I received was not what I thought I was purchasing. When I opened the package, I knew I had been duped. I contacted the company and they said I could return it to China for a full refund or get 15% sending it to a local address. To send to the address in China was at my expense as well and meant to deter me from following this method. I should have done my due diligence and checked the reviews before purchasing the sweater/turtleneck. SCAM ALERT!!

The item I thought I purchased was a sweater. The item that FINALLY arrived was a polyester top — cheaply made and ill fitting.

Bought 2 sweaters, if you could call them that. Cheaply made and it looks nothing like the pictures in their ads. Was really disappointing. DO NOT PURCHASE!

Thought I was ordering a beautiful sweater instead it was a shirt. NEVER order from this website out $$ and to ship back for a refund it was more that I paid for the product. What a SCAM.

More accurately, 0 stars. And it looks like they might be operating under more than one fake name and location. No store. Not a US company. Ships from China. Cheap merchandise not even remotely as pictured. Photos of beautiful chunky knit embroidered sweaters. What you receive are garishly printed cheap fabric tops. They “offer” only 15% refund for return and you have to pay for shipping to a sketchy address in China. Total scam, made even worse by the fake folksy “About Us” BS on their website.

Wish I could give them a zero star. I got caught up in this scam. Don’t order from this “company”

This place deserves zero stars!!! Ordered an embroidered sweater that showed a great price, $50 for the quality shown in the picture. Instead I receipt’s polyester turtleneck with a pattern similar, but not the same as the advertised embroidered sweater. It was UGLY! The company shows it is in Augusta, GA (USA) on the website but they are actually in China. I want to return but they say customer must pay shipping costs back to China. I feel scammed!!!! Don’t trust this company!

Don't be fooled by the website's representation of a quaint little shop. I ordered a knitted/embroidered sweater and what I received was a polyester top with printed "embroidery" worth about $10.00.

I usually check reviews because I fell once before for these websites but I did not this time.

Do NOT buy from Ava and June!! This is a total SCAM! I would give negative stars if I could. I had the same experience as many other reviewers. The "sweater" that I received is nothing like the one that I ordered. I have been emailing them to try and start the return process but they are not responding. I guess I am just out the $70ish that my husband spent on this for a Christmas present. They do a good job of making you think they are a local small business of mother and daughter...I am so angry!

Worst buying experience ever, shame on me for not reading these reviews. I purchased two knitted sweaters, one actually indicating embroidery. They were neither knitted nor sweaters. The "embroidered" design was stamped on. Medium size (my regular size) was huge. Without question they agreed to a full refund - once they were received back in their shipping house in China. Return shipping would be at my cost. I did take them to UPS for a bit of entertainment - the shipping would be a couple hundred dollars, but the UPS guy told me I could likely ship from the PO for only about $40 or $50. Needless to say, I won't be returning them, I will either donate them or wear them when I paint my house.

The Maurine sweater shown in the photo was absolutely gorgeous. The item in the photo WAS NOT the sweater that I received. The sweater in the photo was a chunky knit with ribbed cuffs and turtleneck made of
ultra-soft cotton blend knit (per the written description). The item I received was a cheap flat knit fabric with sewn on cuffs and turtleneck. It is a garishly printed piece of garbage that is probably made out of polyester (couldn't find a label identifying the fabric). I am pursuing a refund of this piece of trash.

do not buy from this company, the picture of the item that I thought I was buying looks nothing like the cheap misleading product that was shipped to me, overpriced, horrible return policy since they’re out of China, I’ve been emailing with them for several days now trying to get my 15% credit back to my account, with no response, very misleading, extremely frustrating, and obviously they do not care, because they know the pictures they have representing the product is not the product they’re going to ship to you, I wish there was something that I could do besides leave a horrible review

I ordered from them after seeing a Facebook ad. The website looked as if it were a legitimate channel for a brick and mortar store, and the original pricing of items seemed in line with the pictures I saw.

My bad: I own this one, and it was not at all the case. Don’t be fooled by the mother-daughter story or the quaint small town shop photo.

Poorly sized, cheaply made items shipped direct from China. Ave and June claims you can return items in 30 days… but when you read the small print you see you’re sending stuff back to China. Skip it. Go to your local boutique when they’re having a sale.
