I applied for Attendance Allowance using the correct Government form, which is readily available on the internet.
I submitted the form on a Friday, they called in person the following Tuesday; five working days later I was granted the full allowance, backdated to the day I first applied!
Mind you I AM quite seriously disadvantaged, can only walk 10 yards without crutches, and have been regularly hospitalised for heart situations! However they have access to all my medical records so I didnt need to send in anything other than my NHS and Nat. Ins. Numbers.
All I can say for certain is that there ARE sharks out there, BUT if you go directly to their official website you should be OK

My In law who has cognitive problems contacted this company.
This company, attendance-allowance, had a 1+hr telephone conversation and filled in a 32pp form with erroneous information.
No attempt at corroboration of information.
My wife & I corrected the lengthy but straightforward form and submitted it.

It is good professional practice to verify information.

After paying the company an automatic email stating that their application had been rejected was received causing distress and confusion.
