Dreadful customer service!
I was cold called by this company to take out an insurance policy for my washing machine.
Just came off the phone after speaking to Mark. Rude aggressive man.
Do not take out insurance with this company. I called early Saturday 5th November to report that my washing machine had broken only to find out that they are not open at weekends.
Engineer finally came out late on the following Wednesday. He told me that my washing machine needed a new control panel and that it would be repaired by midday the next day if not I would receive a new machine.
Assure have ordered a new part, I was told it would’ve here within 3/5 days.
I am still waiting on the 16th November over a week later.
Dreadful customer service, Mark was not prepared to listen to my complaint; constantly talking over me and accusing me of being rude. I feel that they should provide a new machine as it cannot be repaired within a reasonable time frame.
Mark’s only answer was to offer to refund the cost of the policy as apparent I was’ getting on his nerves’ by constantly calling for an update.
He then put down the phone on me.
Unbelievable!
Update:
I made a formal complaint about Mark’s behaviour. Steve one of the managers investigated . I received an email accusing me of shouting and placing unreasonable demands.
He has cancelled my policy. So after waiting 10 days for a repair I now have to buy a new washer.
I have honestly never experienced anything like this in my life.
So be warned!
Scammed a vulnerable old lady
Scammed a vulnerable old lady out of money. They called my mum about her washing machine warranty, didn't give any names or confirm details of her machine. She told the cretin on the other end that she'd not long come out of hospital and would need to speak to her sons, but was pushed and told "don't you want to be covered?". Prices quoted were £75 a year down from £99, they tried to take £225 but as there were not enough funds they quickly rang her bank and told her they could do £19.99 a month for the first year, nothing to pay in years 2 & 3. Again, my mum said she'd need to speak to her sons. Luckily I was able to speak to her bank and get the charge cancelled. And when I tried calling the number is just cut off. I did get a call back from Mark though, who confirmed it was Assure Protections Ltd who contacted my mum and took payment. When challenged on why they hounded someone who was vulnerable he hung up. Phone numbers used are 01273 257087 & 01257 257119, make sure you block them. As my mum's calls are recorded I will be submitting them as evidence to the FCA, FOS and ICO office.

I called to check my policy renewal and phone answered within 2 / 3 rings. Steve confirmed the date of renewal and policy number immediately and remaining length of my policy. I have not used them to repair my bosch washing machine yet and can only comment on the service I received above that was excellent

DO NOT USE this Insurance Company
Our LG direct drive W/machine broke (main bearing) we were offered a new “like for like” but the Candy we were to be given was not Direct Drive and had an Energy rating of E not the B it was replacing. When we pointed this out their response was that they only considered the capacity and max spin speed.
This is NOT what “like for like” is normally taken to mean and they would not move.
Without going to court and incurring large legal bills we are stuck with an inferior product.
Do NOT use this company - there are many similar companies offering honest deals.

I was extremely happy with service I received from the washing machine engineer right through to the office staff. Engineer was at my home at 1.15pm told me that the drum was cracked and couldn’t be repaired it would be cheaper to buy a new washing machine . Well I had taken out the machine repair cover ( I am so glad I did) by 4.45 pm I had my new machine up and running . Can’t praise all above enough. Thank you so much for all that you have to offer 😊

Exceptionally pleased with the service…
Exceptionally pleased with the service this company gave me.
After my samsung washing machine had broken down I called the customer service line,I was then contacted back very shortly after by Mark from the repairs department.
Mark was very pleasant and arranged for an engineer to come out straight away that afternoon, amazing prompt service.
We ended up having the PCB Board replaced and it has not missed a beat since.
Highly recommend.

FINALLY
Finally I have found a legit company, I have used many over the years not knowing who to trust, I can honestly say that now I'm not using any other, I have been with assure protections for quite a while & did have trouble with my washing machine, I called the number straight away & the company sent an engineer out asap, unfortunately it could not be repaired but assure protections replaced it straight awa
y, well worth useing this company, I now have passed the details on to my family as there are so many scamming companies out there.

My 87 year old mother who has DEMENTIA…
My 87 year old mother who has DEMENTIA and is on the TPS register was cold called by these lowlives and relieved of £199 for a 3 year washing machine insurance plan.
When I tried to call them to cancel despite presenting them with power of attorney and even putting my mother on the phone to them they refused the refund and I had no choice but to go to the bank who happily refunded it no questions asked under Chargeback.
I have reported them to the ICO as my mother is on the TPS list. Search online for
'have you been cold called about Home Appliance insurance?'
A very interesting article comes up. This company is currently being investigated and fined and shut down by Trading Standards and the ICO for targeting the elderly. Its the latest South Coast company to be investigated.
If you see their name on your bank statement, call trading standards, the ICO and then your bank.
Look at these two 3 star reviews. Clearly written by them in an attempt to stop people doing a Chargeback which is their right.
UPDATE / EDIT : I have since been in touch with the ICO and trading standards and they are aware of this company and are looking into it.
Interesting that Mrs Julie Andrews has the same surname as one of the directors Mr Luke Andrews.
There will be no further updates on my post now unless my mother receives another call.

As I decided I wanted to cancel my plan.
My bank then froze the transaction to investigate this and I couldn’t recieve my money
had I of just cancelled normally then this could have been returned to me straight away!!

Total Scammers
This company got hold of all the details on my protection on my washing machine and conned me int paying then £195 by pretending to be my current insurer. When I saw their name in my bank statement. I reported the transaction as fraudulent. They called me twice more trying to sell me the same policy and when I asked to speak to a manager, I was told that they would investigate the issue and I should have called as soon as I received the policy documents, what documents as I have received nothing. Then my bank paid them, I phoned again and was told they will not refund me because I had reported the transaction as fraud and the bank had found in their favour.
Avoid at all costs, if this is how they scam you inti buying a policy, I can not imagine what would happen if you tried to claim.

they took £499 from my 93 year old…
they took £499 from my 93 year old mother who has dementia. they refuse to refund. she cannot turn the heating on. Luckily i contacted her bank and did a chargeback and they refunded her in full.
