Very poor experience with Lance from ASC Water Tanks.

Lance attended our home to replace a damaged water tank pump. While the pump was replaced, his conduct during the visit was completely unacceptable.

The appointment process was poorly organised. He called the previous day at 4:21 pm to arrange a service for the next morning. I missed the call, then called back with no answer. I had to follow up by SMS the next morning before he eventually called back and arranged to attend around 12:30 pm. Homeowners should not be expected to wait around without clear communication or proper scheduling.

During the repair, my wife was home and dealt with him directly. She was polite throughout, but Lance was rude, frustrated and unprofessional. He was mumbling, complaining and using offensive language while working, including swearing about the people who installed the water tank. Regardless of whether he had an issue with the original installation, that behaviour is not appropriate inside a customer’s home.

He also asked my wife to crawl behind the water tank area to help plug in a switch. The area was dusty, dirty and full of cobwebs, and my wife is allergic to dust mites. A customer should not be asked to physically assist a technician with repair work. If the job requires two people, the company should send two people.

After the repair, my wife asked what the issue was. He initially said he did not know. When she asked how he fixed it, he then said he had replaced the whole pump. Basic repair information should be explained clearly without the customer having to ask repeatedly.

The worst part was that he made an insulting comment about my wife’s English, asking why she was born in Australia but her English was so bad. That was disrespectful, unnecessary and completely unacceptable. She was only asking normal questions about what had been repaired in her own home.

When we asked for a report, he dismissed it and said there was no need for a report because he had fixed it. He was also walking out while answering questions over his shoulder instead of stopping to explain the repair properly.

The pump was replaced, but the customer service, attitude and communication were unacceptable. I would not want Lance attending our home again unless his conduct is properly addressed by ASC Water Tanks.

I’ve bought a lot of tanks and pumps from ASC. Always good service. This time they checked whether my last purchased pump was working properly and as it turned out,it did have a problem.
What matters with a company is if they support you when something goes wrong with a product. Great Pump but it had a problem and they replaced it with no dramas at all.

Great quality tanks delivered by a friendly and knowledgeable driver. When there was a change in my plans ASC had no trouble changing my order. When there was a delay in delivery they supplied me with a free pump. Fabulous service in this day and age when usually no one goes out of their way. Will definitely be back for more in the future and highly recommend. Also cheaper than buying the tanks directly from manufacturer.

I had a few questions about methods to prevent the SC2 pump from pressuring and mains water with rain water. The salesperson was helpful and took time to give me the information I needed to sort out my enquiries. Then I ordered a SC2 pump and valves and delivery from ASC to South Australia was prompt. Thankyou.

Brought a Davey pump HS50-06 pump with rainbank that states on website "ideal for underground tanks" but after install didnt work with one company coming out and saying faulty controller only for Davey to say wrong pump for underground tank. Have been back and fourth for months with no resolve and ASC not helping and shocking customer service. Buyer beward buying online - stick to local supplier even if it costs you a couple of hundred more dollars! Not worth the saving buying online. Cheaper chinese pump would be easier my plumber advised over a davey!
