Aquaplancton Bewertungen 

This is the second year I've added Aquaplancton to our defunct swimming pool, now being developed as a pond and this year a reservoir for watering plants etc. in the garden! Whilst last year it cleared most of the surface algae, this year I can now see the bottom of the pond and all the rubbish chucked in that needs clearing out!! I'm just hoping we have enough rain to fill it again in readiness for next summer's hosepipe ban. I'll be adding Aquaplancton next year. Very satisfied

A great product for dealing with blanketweed in ponds. Delivered promptly, with the Company a pleasure to deal with.

During the recent heatwaves, we had to use tap water to ensure our pond did not dry out. This resulted in great quantities of blanket weed. Some of this was fished out by the children, but, having used Aquaplancton in the past, we bought some more and, hey presto! our pond is now clear again. And the pump is working unhindered . We just hope we shall be blessed with plenty of rain water to keep things clear.

I was recommended Aquaplancton 10 years ago by a friend who has used it successfully. At that time my large swimming pond was literally covered in green weed. Having got the weed out I have since then used 25kg this product 3-4 times a year. This keeps my pond water completely clear for swimming so I can see down to the bottom. If the weed starts coming back round the edges I reapply and it soon dies away.

This is my second purchase of Aquaplankton, the ist treated our very large pond and lasted over ten years before the latest application.

I applied a ½ dose of the product about 3 months ago: I wondered whether there might be a mild improvement to give me the confidence to continue - but there was no evident change; nevertheless I bought and applied the remainder of the dose about 1 month ago, and the results have been spectacular.

Before the full application, I could see virtually nothing below the surface. Now I we can see the bottom of the pond, with sunlight reflected back to us - and it's still improving !! We shall continue to top up as you recommend. I think I have demonstrated that ½ measures are not worth trying !! . Our quarterly pond maintenance visit occurred yesterday. He was absolutely astonished to see the improvement. Thank you for a superb product.

The product worked well. As others state, blanket weed may need repeated applications. Overall its made a major difference to pond maintenance

Have used this product before and generally works well. Pond is very clear except for the blanket weed on the water fall, it’s still very thick including below it in the pond and the oxygenators seem to attract the blanket weed, nearly a complete success but hey nothing is perfect

Quite simply the best product that I have needed to use.

Having used two other treatments for my small pond, I find that Aquaplancton is the only one which has made a positive difference.
It is easier to use, being based on surface area rather than capacity.
I certainly recommend this product- as do my newts!

I first used Aquaplancton just over a year ago because of blanket weed and black silt on the bottom of our pond. After a few weeks I noticed that I could see the bottom more clearly and the blanket weed had gone. Also, I wanted to deal with the silt without the disruption caused by a digger. I had it cleaned out by digger some 25 years ago. The pond is best described as a rain garden fed naturally by land drains and is 150 feet long and 40 feet wide and the deepest part is 4 feet deep. It contains several types of coarse fish including roach,rudd,tench,grass carp and sticklebacks as well as frogs,toads and newts. In early spring this year I received an email from Aquaplancton gently suggesting I might need a top up dose and I wondered if I might do that. The issue was decided a fortnight later as the blanket weed started to return and I have just treated it again with a full dose of Aquaplancton(10 bags). I had put in 10 x 25 kg bags the first time (3 bags more than recommended) partly because there is a discount for 10 bags or more and also because I was assured that one cannot overdose a pond.The bags were delivered promptly,on a pallet I was very pleased with the first treatment and will be treating the pond with a top up dose in early spring next year.
26th May.
The blanket weed is clearing and the first change was that the horizontal skeins of weed stopped forming. The first area to clear was the top end which is 12 to 18 inches deep and the fish became visible. The deeper (4 feet) area is also clearing and the fish here are also visible. The pea green of the weed is going here also and the brown sediment on the bottom is becoming visible. I used 9 bags of Aquaplancton.
May 29th. Further update.
The blanket weed has now gone from all areas.

Over the years, I have tried a variety of products to get rid of blanket weed from my small garden pond, but none has made the slightest difference; so I didn't have high hopes of Aquaplancton.
I am delighted to say IT WORKS! I use it once a year in late spring and after a few days the pond fills with dead blanket weed which I net off, leaving clear water. Sometimes I use a second application a month or two later.
My pond is home to newts and various crustaceans and molluscs, none of which seemed bothered by the treatment.

Company always delivers quickly and Aquaplancton does the job in clearing blanket weed which we suffer from as neighbouring farmer uses fertiliser which runs off. Sometimes a treatmment last a few months or at best 2 years.

I have delt with Aquaplantion before so this time I found them very helpful, friendly and efficient. The product was well presented and the packaging was really good, delivery time was very good

It took a long time to settle on the bottom and stop being cloudy but after that it worked a treat and helped keep the pond clear all last summer in combination with a uv light

Applied in July 2025 to large recently cleaned koi pond with pump, filter and ultra violet installed. Water immediately turned pea green and darkened over the next six months. Only after copious Kent rainfall is water somewhat clearer in February 2026 Fish seem well, but all oxygenating plants have disappeared.
