No communication at all
Enough is enough, almost 12 months or a year now still haven't heard any update or news for my preorder Dusk RX.
This company lack of communication, send them few emails and never reply. I just want to cancel the order and have my money back. My order is #42004, I completely lost my trust to your business.

I am updating my last review it took a while and many emails I did receive a full refund should not have taken so long if your going to be in business keep your customers in the loop.
Rough at First but Will Make Right
Rocky start but they came through. They do not have the staff to keep up with the quantity of orders receiving which still needs to be fixed by them. However after a month they finally got my order shipped. They expressed shipped 2 day air to try and make up for the lost time as well as offer me a more than generous discount in refund to my purchase. I actually felt bad with how much they were discounting. The lack of communication was very frustrating but all in all they made it right and tried their best to fix the situation. I won’t lie I definitely could have been easier on them looking back on everything now but I would give this company a chance. Don’t go in thinking you’ll get the sunglasses in a week but I’ve only had mine for a day now and the only time i took them off was to sleep lol. Originally gave them 1 star after everything they have done I would say 4 stars. If you think I’m now being generous call it a 3 but they have made up for their mistakes in my mind.

Flimsy product with no repairs
I got a Dusk and the product was fine, feels a bit plastic-y, but performs the 'cool' tint-change as expected.
Just a couple of months after the short 1-year warranty ends, the glasses just stop turning on for no apparent reason (it was stored in a drawer for a week).
After contacting them, support told me they have no repair program at all, and all they could do is give me a discount so I can give them more money again.
So... I paid $300 for the privilege of using the tint-change for a year, and I'm now left with a pair of $300 plastic glasses with no tint. Nice 👍
Get yourself fancier $300 sunglasses from a real brand that will last for half a decade or more.
Ampere won't be seeing my money again.

Ordered on June 2 it is now June 28…
Be prepared takes a while to ship them too you. But company did make it right by giving a discount because of the wait. So far I am enjoying the product I love the simplicity of the interface it's very easy to answer calls just one click, pretty easy to start playing your music too. It's been like a month since I got them easily becoming one of my favorite pair of sunglasses. If they eventually come out with a more slimed down design of the frame I would definitely have to get a second pair. It is a little harder to clean than regular lenses I think it because of static though seems to catch lint from. Micocloth but you get used to it eventually.

I pre-ordered dusk sport glasses and they changed my PayPal $300.00 over a year and a half ago I contacted them on many times they keep say it's going to be released it was supposed to be last August and still no glasses beware of the scamming company there emailing people to invest don't trust them....

Honestly shipping was kind of a mess but customer service was amazing and I did end up getting my glasses. I've been wearing them for quite a bit and they seem really good!

Lack of stock, but almost always willing to assist.
I have waited for around a month to get a pair of sunglasses for €179. I have since emailed the company as of two weeks ago and I am still awaiting a response. They have since stopped responding to complaints from me on their website's chat feature, and they have said that they are awaiting the new arrival of the Dusk Lite glasses, and they had an employee say they would email me within the next week three weeks ago. I looked for any more information on their website, and they said it would be packed and ready within 1-2 days. Again, I have waited one month for the order to have an update.
Edit: They have since responded to my email, and upgraded my order as to get the order out faster. I appreciate their efforts into their customers for the amount of employees they have. They did ship the order and it has arrived since.

01/05/2024 Backerkit survey sent - $246.00 of addons were added.
16/05/2024 $575.00 (£457.37) charged to my card.
Emailed them immediately to refund the excess charge. it is now 27/05/2024 and I have had no response!
UPDATE 10/06/2024:
Here is my journey with Ampere so far - I came across the website and saw the Dusk RX which caught my attention. These are promoted on the website as "premium Smart Glasses", "prescription ready", "widest tint range ever", "available in prescription", "state of the art lenses" and "Pre-order estimated shipping date: Spring 2024". After considering it for about a month, I decided to bite the bullet and place the order (£279.00 GBP at the time) on 31/03/2024. There were no options for informing you of my prescription for the lenses which was odd, so I contacted customer services and was told that the form was not ready yet but when it is it will be sent out and I can fill in prescription details.
After more than 1 month I finally received an email to complete a Backerkit Survey on 01/05/2024, it was at this point I was surprised to find out that all these things that were promoted on the website (prescription ready, widest tint range, state of the art lenses) all turned out to be optional add on extras! Despite my feeling quite misled and disappointed with Ampere I decided to go ahead and add the extras which based on the marketing should have been standard and included. These came up to a further $246.00 USD (on top of the initial £279.00 GBP initially paid). Over 2 weeks later on 16/05/2024 I received an email saying $575.00 USD was successfully charged to my card. I immediately contacted customer services, after 10 days I still had no response from anyone at Ampere and sent a follow up on 27/05/2024. It was only after I had left a review of my experience on TrustPilot was I finally contacted by them on the 28/05/2024.
They promptly discovered the issue and tried to rectify it and resolve the situation by refunding the full amount including the cost of the additional extras. It was at this point they mentioned that the glasses would not be ready until fall 2024 - This was the very first I had heard of any delay from the initial Spring 2024 shipping date. The website even now still says Spring 2024 and this after I had already pointed this out to them previously. When the money came into my account the amount incorrectly taken vs the amount returned was £35.40 GBP short which I understand was bank charges but I do feel Ampere should cover to see me made whole.
I have paid for sunglasses which were supposed to be shipping in Spring 2024 and now I am told it will be fall 2024 (completely missing the summer when they will actually be of most use).
I am keen not to waste anymore of my time on this. I will sit and wait for my glasses to arrive though I am not holding my breath for Fall 2024, I simply hope that they do infact arrive one day.
I believe this company is a bit of a mess and are intentionally misleading consumers into purchasing this product. It has misleading promotion on their website and incorrect estimated shipping date (which they are aware of yet fail to update). The customer service is excellent once you have written a negative review on TrustPilot but non existant before this point.
UPDATE 23/06/2024:
They have taken money from my account again! - 21/06/2024 Email from Ampere saying they have successfully taken the outstanding balance of $575.00 USD from my account! I checked my bank account and could see that £453.29 GBP had been taken again! I immediately contacted customer services on the previous email chain. I am still waiting for a response
UPDATE: 24/06/24:
No reply from customer services but I received an email this morning saying that my order has been cancelled and £279.00 is being refunded back to my account - Nothing showing in my account yet but also I did not ask to cancel my order.....has it been canceled?...Will I eventually receive my glasses or not?
Ampere responded to this review to say the order has been 100% refunded, see below for my full accounting:
31/03/24: Paid £279.00
16/05/24: £457.37 taken from my account
28/05/24: £435.65 refunded to my account
20/06/24: £466.84 taken from my account
Currently: I have paid £767.56
Assuming £279.00 is refunded back into my account this leaves me having paid £488.56 and my order has been cancelled and 100% refunded according to Ampere?
This is a joke and I will take it legal if the matter is not cleared up to my satisfaction within the next 48 hours.

No a scam after all
I cannot deny that I was Disappointed with the delay of my Dusk sport pre-order, which made me believe I was being scammed.
Finally after few mail exchange i got the refund.
Ampere have actually proven to be legit and cares about their reputation and customer satisfaction.

Disappointing Product Quality, Not Worth the Price, 3 replacement and it works only for few months
I ordered the ampere glasses (Dusk Lite). The order was quite on time. I used the glasses and noticed, the battery life is quite abnormal. it would hardly stay charge for an hour. i wrote about it to them and they infact sent a replacement. I was quite happy with the support.
However, the actual issue of battery still remains. I did not use the glasses for like 45 days coz of travelling. As soon as i came back, i kept the glasses for charging but it wont charge at all. I do not see the charging indicator light also. I would like to mention that glasses did not move from my house.
Update:As i mentioned before, they have an excellent support team. They sent me a replacement and it is working fine.
Update(Aug-2024). The third replacement lasted couple of months and stopped charging.
Paying €199 for a product with such poor reliability is simply not worth it. this seems to be another case of subpar Chinese manufacturing.
I cannot recommend these glasses to anyone and would advise others to avoid them.

Buyer beware
Like many others, I have been getting the run around on shipping delays. I was told that my original orders (41313 and 41888, ordered 5 weeks ago) couldn't be filled because they were out of stock in the color I chose. So, like a fool, I placed an additional order for an upgraded model based on a promotional email that promised 2 day shipping and, in BOLD PRINT, "in time for Christmas". My mistake was assuming that they meant Christmas, 2023.
I have not received an email with an order confirmation for the second order, and have met resistance in canceling the original order of 'out of stock' items. When I call their customer service line, I get a message that they're "out of the office".
I honestly can't review the product, (which may be the best thing ever, but so far has appeared to be invisible after 5 weeks), but due to Ampere's woefully pathetic shipping issues, I cannot in good conscience recommend buying from this company.

Still no item and someone won’t have a present to open for Christmas.
I wish I would have read the reviews. I ordered my product on December 4th for a Christmas present. On the 11th they said that they were having shipping delays and would send it out as soon as possible. I checked back in with them on December 15 and they said that they would move my shipping to priority when it comes to be picked up from the warehouse. I finally message back the last two days got nothing and today they told me that they were working around the clock to see what the shipping delay is about so at this point I know it’s probably not gonna come in time for someone to open it up for Christmas. Very disappointed and will definitely not use this company again.
I did receive an email. My items were never at a warehouse waiting to be picked up because they can’t send some of the items. I bought 3 different things. They said they would ship out today but I never received tracking and still showing in all updates that it hasn’t shipped.

Worst experience ever but they made up for it
I ordered from them 3 months ago and they still have not sent it. I've sent them more than 20 emails and they just keep giving me excuses like their inventory is low etc., though they keep on sending me advertisement that I needed to order from them. I tried to cancel in November and they had just sent me an email this December that it was already being shipped. They used the worst courier which is 4PX so I doubt I'd ever get my order from them. This is the worst experience I've ever had shopping online.

My previous review was due to frustrations that my order took so long. But ampere did good by sending me a free pair of sunglasses that they already have in the Philippines while my order was still in transit. The only thing is that they also promised me a 40% rebate which I never received but their customer service people that was based in the Philippines took care of my dilemma of not having my order before christmas. Thanks Ampere for listening to your customers.
