I made a deposit of £400 for tickets to Abidjan Ivory Coast on the 24th of May 2024 for two tickets costing £1500 and promised to pay the remaining balance of £1100 in June 15th, by 14th of june Mike Davis from Alexa Travels operating under the umbrella of Times Travels UK LTD 2429, emailed me to pay the remaining balance of £1100 before 5pm which was not the date of our agreement but I didn't mind, I went through the email sent to pay the balance of £1100 around 2pm but the payment link was blocked by the company and I had to call Mike that the payment link was blocked and Mike said that it was from there side that he would send me another payment link and that I should just click on the payment link and pay instantly, but unknown to me that Mike Davis already added £198 to the balance making a total of £1298, Immediately I saw that the balance was not right, I did not make the payment and I immediately made a call to Mike, who told me that it was the airline (Royal Air Maroc) who increased the fare, which was a lie. Mike now told me to pay the £1298 or I will lose my £400 deposit, I refused to pay the money because this was a breach of our agreement.
Mike now told me that he would give me 3 options:
1. To add £198 to the original balance of £1100
2. To change my travel date to another date that was not suitable for my 12years old girl and I and which would cost additional money as well.
3. To send an email that I was happy to receive £200 cash and the remaining £200 to go to their company's account as a voucher for me to use in the future so that it will reduce the price of any tickets that I am likely to buy in my next travel. All these options were not good and I insisted on getting my money back but they refused to give me my money back and they also refused picking up my calls. I was frustrated to the point that I had to call my bank Halifax for a refund and it was refunded back to me temporarily around July pending their investigations but unfortunately Halifax had to take back the £400 from me because they said that I authorised the payment to Alexa Travels myself and their was nothing they could do that I have to go and take my money from the fraudsters myself. I lost so much on this trip such as the payment of £98 paid to Ivory Coast embassy for the visa, (£49 each), £69 for yellow fever vaccine for one person which is compulsory, £586 paid for hotel in airbnb for 20 days, I bought other stuffs for this trip. All these that I went through made me developed high blood pressure which rose up to 184/94, my GP had to place me on amlodipine 5mg, which didn't work and they added another 5mg making 10mg of amlodipine that I am currently on, I am still struggling with my debts payments and wandering to go for gofund because I am in debt.
This Alexa Travels are fraudsters, people should not patronise them, they are using deposit tricks to scam people of their hard earned money. Avoid Mike Davis from Alexa Travels and his manager, they are thieves.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the level of service I received from an agent named Haider. The communication, understanding and level of respect from him was outstanding and to a level of beyond satisfactory. Haider helped find flights for me and my family not only for the days we needed to travel but went above and beyond in searching and ensuring it was the best options for us including shortest stop overs and within our budget. Family member disclosed information regarding a flight and an agent by name of Eric tried to intercept and cancel their flight if X amount of money wasn’t paid for fees which was irrelevant. Unlucky for them I am the younger generation with sophisticated intelligence to combat scams. Please avoid this company and do your research before providing any information regarding your flights. To the ceo tread careful vpn’s won’t save you
