Under warranty issues on my approved Audi have been misdiagnosed numerous times and rework unsuccessful, in one case made the problem worse. Latest solution is to replace the windshield, initial issues reported in May and still not resolved in December.

Mercedes service in Portadown accepted warranty repair with out any problems. Repair was quick and profesional.

This is what this company claim to deliver???
The Agnew Group constantly strives to deliver the best possible Mercedes-Benz experience to every customer and visitor at their showrooms in Belfast
ARE YOU HAVING A LAUGH?
Recently had the unfortunate experience of having the “technicians???” at Mercedes dealership in Belfast do a diagnosis and also an in-depth diagnosis on my vehicle. As if a “technician???” should have had to put any vehicle on an in-depth diagnosis to tell them a clutch has gone?? Actually a major misdiagnosis as nothing at all wrong with the clutch rather a more simple fix. Was told the engine had to be removed to fit the clutch????! Absolutely ridiculous!! Would have been content if they could even tell the truth but just more “dealer stealers!!!!” Their relationship with the truth is galactic miles apart!!!!!
The cost…. Wait for it!!!!’with diagnosis and in-depth diagnosis £5000 if I had of been stupid enough to engage them to do the work!! Fortunately I did not!! Certainly never buy from them or have any work done by them as do not have a clue!! The price of their labour is outrageous!!
Guess what??? I took it to a gentleman, a real engineer, that repaired my vehicle and had nothing to do with Mercedes of Belfast diagnosis??? In fact polar opposite!!! Instead it was a wiring loom to the coil packs causing intermittent misfire that Mercedes of Belfast dealership could not find yet wanted to remove the engine at a cost of £5000 with their diagnosis. WELL DONE!!! £4000 to replace a clutch??? £1000 for misdiagnosis!!! Are you having a laugh??? Have to get in touch with media about this one. Have they not truly earned their reputation of dealer stealers??? Absolutely disgusting and abhorrent treatment but happy to take the over inflated price for misdiagnosis!!! For exactly what???
If you are thinking of buying a vehicle or indeed taking it to this Mercedes Belfast dealership to even have a simple service ??? FORGET IT!!!! Truly, avoid them like the plague!! Give them a wide berth at best!!! They have not a clue !!!! Though will always be happy to furnish you with a bill for doing absolutely nothing!! I mean what machine or diagnosis system is ever going to confirm a clutch has failed in a vehicle. Big bill!!’ That is all Belfast Mercedes dealership can deliver and should hang their heads in shame! Exactly why dealerships have well earned the name of “dealer stealers!!! Certainly well deserved in this case. Failed to spot the damaged wiring, leaking water pump or even the thermostat that had failed. Some of these were previously diagnosed by an independent Mercedes specialist. John Murray… of course you know him!!!!
No mention of any clutch issue and fortunately I took the car away from Belfast Mercedes dealership and the whole catastrophic failing. Be interested to hear how your STAR diagnostic system delivered a diagnosis of a failed clutch when I was previously told by the workshop it certainly was not a clutch! Also an email stating engine had to be removed and how big of a job it was?? Talk a good story and nothing else!!! Disgusting service and even Mercedes Customer Service, which is also a disgrace to the brand were not even interested in answering why one of their appointed dealers namely Agnewcars had failed to correctly diagnose anything, let alone what was wrong with my vehicle. How on earth the mechanic/mechanics can make such a catastrophic error is beyond me!!
They did also tout for work on my vehicle costing an estimated £1500 for discs and pads front and rear drop links front and rear and a CV boot.
Customers expect to be treated fairly but not at this dealership,Mercedes Customer Service condone their actions or lack of them depending on how you look at the whole farce that it was.
You have been warned do not buy a vehicle or have your vehicle worked on at this dealership or expect more of the same!!!! All that was visited upon me! What a woeful experience!!!Malevolent clowns is all I could truthfully describe them as!!CLUELESS!! Can make up ridiculous invoices. If a diagnosis of £200 could not deliver any fault or that a clutch had failed I totally despair. By the way I purchased discs and pads, front and rear, BREMBO NO LESS for £150 had them fitted for another £100 £250 in total! Belfast Mercedes wanted £1000 yes you read it correctly!I was told it only took an hour to replace all discs and pads by the engineer that fitted them for me!! Justify any of it, Dealer stealers…. £1000 WELL DONE BELFAST MERCEDES! YOU ARE A DISGRACE TO YOUR TRADE/BUSINESS! CERTAINLY POOR BUSINESS ETHICS THEY SEEM TO HAVE ADOPTED !!!! Anyone I come into contact with will be informed of your gross treatment be certain of that!!!!
Must be reviewing it with your service team from some distance…..like the moon!!!!!!!

David looked after me well, sorting out a couple of issues for me both promptly and effectively.
Katie was able to sort me out with the All-In plan and was very patient in answering my queries.
Overall, the customer service and aftercare has been superb.

Recently bought a car from Bavarian Belfast and there was a small issue, the car was collected immediately, the issue repaired and car dropped back cleaned and hoovered. Richard in the service department kept me updated and is a real gent. Excellent service and really appreciated, thanks Cormac

Antwort von Agnew Group
The service didn’t pick up essential repairs to the car very disappointed in this , both springs had gone in car which was discovered as soon as the car was put on the ramp by another mechanic. Driving the car I knew myself it wasn’t right . Paying for a quality service plan I would have expected more .

Antwort von Agnew Group
Will never take my car here again. The after sales customer service is atrocious. I was laughed at twice by David and was belittled when I asked for help. I also heard how other customers in for services were spoke to and it wasn’t acceptable.

Antwort von Agnew Group
Despite being asked if i wanted my car washed after the service and recall action ( which i said i did), my car was handed back not washed and not hoovered. Additionally i wasn’t told that my car was ready to be picked up. If i had not gone down to pick it up , i would not have been told it was ready . Previously i have had jaguar and mercedes cars where this would never have happened . Not good.
My recent negative experience
Prior to a booked service appointment on 17th October, I was contact by a member of your sales team enquiring if she and her colleague 9Mr Oates) could meet with me to discuss my future intentions. A meeting was arranged for 8.30. I sat in reception from c8.15 to 11.00 and no one came to speak with me. When I was completing the paperwork on my service I mentioned all of this to the service operator (Chloe Finister - she was very helpful). She obviously said something because before I left at c11.10 a young lady came to speak to me. She was apologetic but assumed I would be happy to speak with her despite the fact that she and Mr Oates had not kept the appointment they had made for 8.30. As I had other things to do I had to decline. She apologised again and said she would get Mr Oates to ring me. A month later I am still waiting for that call. Your records will show that I have been a regular customer of Bavarian. It would, however, seem that you are ambivalent whether I continue to remain as one

My brother bought the same car as me, however he was buying on england, my experience was fair and good , allthough I did not spend loads , I was treated well. The after sales was grand . Just spend the extra and go to the merc dealer , you will not be dispointed.

I purchased a Mercedes CLE convertible from Mercedes-Benz of Belfast - Isaac Agnew - in July 2025. After a catalogue of issues with the vehicle - including the car leaving the road, a speeding ticket, faulty systems, and delivery of a car not matching the specification - I formally rejected the vehicle. This has been refused by Mercedes Benz’s UK (MBUK) and I have escalated the matter to the Motor Ombudsman.
The issues are:
1. The car did not meet my, or the dealers, expected specification due to a missing camera which meant that Augmented Reality Navigation and Traffic Light Assist were not available The dealer missed notifications from Mercedes UK that the car would not have the camera. If I had known I would not have continued with the purchase. They also told me that Traffic Light Assist was not available in the UK, which is not the case.
2. Other driver assistance systems - most notably Traffic Sign Assist - are faulty which means that the car does not produce warnings when crossing red traffic lights, no-entry signs and travel on one-way roads against the flow of traffic. The recognition of, specifically, speed signage now appears to be partially working.
3. Due to missing and inoperative assistance systems the car left the road, due to excess speed and failing Lane Keep Assist, damaging a rear alloy wheel on only my second day of ownership. On the same day, for the first time over 35 years of driving, I received a speeding ticket, due to the car’s inability to detect temporary speed limits.
4. The dealer has had many opportunities to fix the faults but has failed despite having the car on site for a total of five weeks in three separate attempts to resolve the problem, with four additional visits to discuss the issues. Under the 2015 Consumer Rights Act they are allowed one attempt to fix problems.
5. I initiated a rejection of the car as it was not to the specification agreed with the dealer. The return period was extended beyond 30 days to allow the dealer lots of time to fix the problems.
Mercedes UK this week rejected my return. Laughably they say that:
* The vehicle was supplied to the correct specifications as ordered.
* All vehicle issues raised with MBUK have been thoroughly investigated, and no fault has been confirmed.
* The assistance features on the vehicle are designed to aid the driver, who always remains in full control.
This is sophistry.
* The specification was not what I agreed with the dealer, who act as MBUK’s agent. It is not the buyers fault if they are not advised of any specification changes, especially as the MBUK website, and promotion brochure differ on what equipment is included. Mercedes appear to change specs due to ‘supply change’ problems on an almost daily basis.
* The car’s Traffic Sign Assist is only partially functional although the precise reason for this has not been determined. That’s why MBUK argue that "no fault has been confirmed". To translate ’the car is faulty, but we don’t know why, so no fault has been confirmed’. On the day before MBUK’s refusal to accept the return I was with the dealer where an attempt to fix the remaining problems was attempted but failed.
* I, of course, accept that assistance features are designed only to assist, but that does mean that they should not be functioning at all.
I have taken legal advice from the Consumers’ Association who state that MBUK are in breach of the 2015 Consumer Rights Act. They are frankly amazed that MBUK have rejected the return. The matter has been formally raised through a complaint to the Motor Ombudsman. Legal advice indicates the dealer is also liable as agent for MBUK.
It is worth other Mercedes buyers noting that AR navigation is a standard feature on all Premium and above trim levels. The dealer was notified in Spring 2024 that the relevant camera would not be installed for production until late in 2025 but they did not notice the change.
As a result, any CLE buyer purchasing from Mercedes Belfast with all but the most basic specification will not have the features they were expecting. It is up to them whether they wish to raise the issue, but the Consumers Association argue that they are in breach of the 2015 Act.
There’s some mitigation for the dealer. The dealer team are generally pleasant and helpful, although in one interaction I was told that if I continued to be ‘patronising’ then there was no point in continuing with the conversation. This was not the response I was expecting at a first meeting, when the dealer inadvertently or not, didn’t tell me of the specification change! Nonetheless courtesy cars have been provided, and the dealer has offered to pay for the speeding fine and alloy repair. They have suffered due to poor support from MBUK.
I will update this review as my complaint continues.
