I just purchased a Rikon 70-3040 Lathe from Acme Tools. Their price was almost $500 less than any other supplier I could find. I was nervous about doing business with them after reading the reviews. However, working with them was a wonderful, if at times confusing experience. They quoted a cost and expected delivery time. They met all of these promises. I was contacted right after the purchase by a representative (a real person) via text message offering any help I might have. The only issue I ran into was when I checked my order it said "back ordered." It seems that if the item purchases from Acme Tools is drop shipped from elsewhere, the system marks it as back ordered until shipped. A call to support quickly resolved this issue. Acme tools needs to fix this! All in all I would order from them again. Support was excellent and they met all of their commitments to me. It arrived on time and in excellent condition.

Update: About 2 weeks after receiving my lathe, Acme dropped the price by $500. I contacted them and they refunded the $500 difference. Easy as a call to customer support.

I experienced the worse job interview by phone ever. The interviewer intentionally insulted me multiple times leaving me speechless. I seriously didn't know how to respond to the hiring manager's insults. I would never apply for a job with this company let alone buy from them.

Honest company with fast shipping. Product was as described but I purchased the wrong items and the return process is awesome. I don't know why they have bad reviews it must be a mix up with acmeshoponline.com which I believe is not owned by the same people. Make sure your buying from acmetools.com

They take no responsibility should something go wrong in the delivery, even if their own negligence caused it. Maybe they are a better store than an online store, but my package got stolen because they failed to let me know when the item had shipped.

I found an awesome deal on a product that was over $100 dollars more on every other site and local shop, and included free shipping. I read a lot of not great reviews on here, and I'm sure that some people do have bad experiences, but I think there's a tendency for people to only leave comments on sites like this when they have a bad experience, and since mine was so great, I feel it's important for people to know I think it must be the minority.
The item arrived just as described, brand new in box, and the shipping was super fast. Again, things might have turned out different if it was back ordered or there were issues along the way that meant I had to contact customer support, but as it is, it was a great experience.

They don’t honor their online advertised sale prices

Ordered a mud mixer on 6/8/23 with a shipping date of 6/17. Never received. Contacted company. They said it was being delayed till July/August. Never notified of delay. Received an email on Saturday, 7/1 that my payment was never received, and I had 72 hours or my order was being canceled. Long story short, holiday weekend, bank closed on Monday, order canceled. I will never go thru this company again. Ripoff!!

Please avoid buying any tools from them. I got a defensive compressor that cost me a lot of money for them not to exchange it. It took 3/4 weeks to arrive one part was broken off that was visible and once we finally got the part we turned it on and oil started coming out and stopped working. Now I have to pay for repairs because warranty believes it was missing handled.

Received a 7 quart igloo cooler with insulated lid shipped by Acme tools for father's day. Lid does not latch in closed position just falls open. Very disappointed! Bungee cord required. Sucks!

They have alll the tools and accessories and in very good price

So I placed an order last night with ACME TOOLS and I must say it certainly is a "TOOL" of a company.

Last night I received a confirmation for my order however this morning I received an email indicating that it had been cancelled. I called and was connected with a very nice lady who checked and said that the order was cancelled by their "security team". I asked if she could simply take my order and she accommodated me and placed it for the same product at the same price as the one that I ordered last night. I gave her my CC info and she indicated that it was approved by my bank, but asked that I wait a minute to see if it went through their "security team" and what do you know... their "security team" cancelled the order again. The lady suggested that I pay through PAYPAL... so my CC transaction was approved BUT she wants me to go through PAYPAL. NO WAY. My scam alert siren was blasting at full volume.

I asked to speak to a SuperVisor and of course she was one. I asked if she had a SuperVisor and of course she did not. She must be the CEO. I asked to speak to someone on the "security team" and of course they are not available and there in no way to get in touch with them.

Cancelled the credit card I used for the transaction and requested a replacement and put the my credit card team on alert for charges from the TOOLs.

I agree with all of the alerts and warnings posted here and the lesson is.... check with Trust Pilot BEFORE you try to do business with a new company NOT after. Thanks Trust Pilot !

ACME advertised a white ICE-house blue flame 10.000 BTU heater @ decent price of $ 159.99 including shipping. Said was out of stock, but would ship in 2-3 weeks. After 4 weeks I had still not heard from them; so I called, I was told it would ship directly from manufacturer ~ " midsummer! "
Found same product for 22.50 $ less @ Northern Tool. It shipped the very same day. SO ! I called and cancelled my order. The gal said she'd do it right away and send confirmation e-mail.
INSTEAD SHORTLY AFTER MY CREDIT CARD WAS CHARGED AGAIN !!!! absolute horror story. Had to call my bank; they are issuing me a new card, re fraud prevention

In March of 23, after much shopping around, I decided to order a Dewalt DWS780 from Acme Tools. The saw shipped promptly, and arrived within days. Due to not having a table to put it on, the saw sat in the box until the end of April. After a week of using the saw, I noticed that I was having a ton of issues with the saw kicking boards back. I checked all of the usual suspects and still had issues. On 5/6 I attempted to cut a piece of trim board which was immediately flung across the room. At this time, I also noticed that the cutline on the saw had stopped working and I made the decision to contact Dewalt for some assistance. When I gave the representative the manufacture date (2021) located on the motor of the saw, I was advised to unplug the saw immediately and not to use the saw again. It was then explained to me that in August of 22, Dewalt issued a recall and pulled all of these saws with these manufacture dates from the shelves due to a kickback issue and possible injury. Dewalt is standing behind their saw and is replacing it. However, I had to box it up and UPS it back to Dewalt. I contacted Acme the next business day. I was told that they were unaware of the recall- yet they are an authorized Dewalt dealer. I was offered $10.00 off a $75.00 purchase and lukewarm apology. I opened a claim with BBB, Acme's response was, you'll have to contact Dewalt. This is honestly the least professional company I have ever had the unfortunate luck to be dealing with. Run... Fast.... buy your tools anywhere but here!

There is no way to cancel an order. I attempted to cancel and order 5 min after placing and they refused. I attempted to refuse delivery but Fedex is similarly useless and tried 3 more times to deliver until I wasn't home and were successful. Now the tool has visible damage from shipping and the company no longer responds.

Had very poor experience. I think it’s scam/bait company who display low prices and steal customer info. Buyers beware of acme scam tool company.

I rarely write reviews so consider this an "I TOLD YOU SO" should you be enticed to order ANYTHING from this company. In my dealings with them they exhibit low to non-existent business ethics. I was captivated by the website flash and promise and failed to search for reviews. Fortunately, with help from my CCard provider, I have escaped without financial impact. Roll the dice if you like...good luck.

Canceled my online order due to a technical online mistake on their part. Poor business dealings. Shop somewhere else.

Ordered a band saw online with 3-5 week backorder. After ordering it became 8-10 week delay. Attempted to cancel order was met with irrational responses and processes of delay. I retrieved my payment thru a claim of fraud with payment company.
