5quidhost feedback is great and I was looking forward to use their services, but 0.1 GB monthly bandwith, which they offer for free, is not enough, so in the end I decided not to use their services.

I chose the free package and you don't get better value for money than that. The signup and setup was simple. The features are outstanding and the servers feel very fast and reliable indeed.
The package came with preinstalled scripts that can install various software, blogs, forums, etc at the press of a button.
A very pleasant experience indeed.

Had used this host previously for a one off month and had zero issues with an absolutely lightning fast setup time, good speeds an ample cPanel package (including fantastico). Switched host to an Irish provider who had their servers in the US and had to change due to abysmal service so I paid for hosting with 5quidhost again and transfered my domain, wonderful service and here's to a few years without a hitch.

To be honest, I wanted to just see if it was true - could a good host also offer a free account that was any good? Wow - not only good, but FAST setup and FAST site! So I've left my website up there, and it's brilliant - for what I need. Totally recommended!

Setup is fast, I have several websites hosted & reliability seems good. The one time I had to contact tech support my email was answered quickly and the issue was resolved first time.
The standard plans may not have enough resources (CPU etc) for very busy or complicated websites but for normal small business use they are fine.

Have used a few web hosting providers in the past but these guys have been hassle free so far and their support service has been great. In short, does what it says on the tin and with minimal pain. I used to have lots of hassle with Wordpress deployments with a couple of other providers - here has been dead simple with no random errors or problems.

I have used 5quidhost for nearly 3 years now for a variety of websites for business and personal use. I've found them to be great value, with simple admin and no fuss. They are clear on their website about the type of support you will receive (email only, no phone) and they deliver this perfectly. I've had problems in the past with non-UK hosting where attempting to describe your issue and have it understood by the support agent can be a long and frustrating process - not so with 5quidhost who get it and have been very helpful.

I started out with a simple plan which the site I was working on quickly outgrew. I was at first disappointed at the speed the site was running at so changed to a Turbo plan.

The Support whilst doing this was of a very good standard and now the changes have been made, the site runs a lot quicker.

All in all I've been pretty impressed. Problems are usually resolved quickly. Not being very technical myself, it is always helpful working with people who can communicate well and the support staff did a great job with this.

I've had a couple of issues since getting the hosting but all have been resolved quickly and efficiently.

I managed to overwrite an entire Wordpress website when updating with (the somewhat unintuitive) Softaculous. A mini-crisis.
The team were able to get the whole site back up and running just an hour after my support request.
I had opted for their 'Turbo' package which, it turns out, includes backups. I had forgotten about this feature, in my panic.
I then had a very helpful and constructive email exchange about backup options. It was proper help from a tuned-in person.
