Pretty good. Great portal though sadly they seem to use it as a reason to make themselves difficult to contact. My remortgage kept having unexplained delays and I found myself having to regularly make contact, which took a time.

Shocking, they are currently managing my remortgage and have constantly contradicted what needs to happen, asked for the same information multiple times, and have missed my renewal date. If you call up, you just get told they'll raise a ticket, no one can resolve anything.

I loved the service I received from the Optima Legal Team. From the first step I received their notification from them.

Their system was very easy to use and what you didn't understand, the team on the phone would walk you through it.

They communicated very well, I didn't feel rushed at all during the process.

The advisors were very friendly and professional on the phone. Also reassuring when I was using the portal! I would prefer to deal with paper copies of documents required and they were very helpful. It's a shame so many companies rely on technology so much, to verify this and tgat yet need a paper copy with a signature in the end up!

Don't worry about any negative reviews you might have read here. I recently completed my remortgage with staircasing (shared ownership) to 100%, and it was a complicated case since I’m an expat living outside the UK and taking out a buy-to-let mortgage with some restrictions on the title. Despite all this happening at once, Optima Legal, especially Martin, was very helpful, communicative, and supportive, providing clear details and feedback throughout the entire process.

You can expect a response within 24 to 48 hours whenever you raise concerns or questions on the portal, and they always provide satisfactory answers.

Also, setting the right expectations is key! I started in early January and just finished at the end of March.

Their online tool is great as it keeps me informed and I can access whenever I want.
