We also wanted a design and install service. Having researched the market for this type of product, we decided that 21 Degrees was the only company to meet our criteria. They have been a pleasure to deal with, especially around snagging and post-sales support. If you value quality above price, this is probably the company for you.

Slow to respond - unsatisfied customer
Booked to investigate a fault on our heat pump and had a service at the same time which wasn’t cheap! The Engineer could not find a fault with the heat pump but it failed again the following day. 21 degrees took a week to respond by which time we’d lost faith in them and used someone else to diagnose and repair the heat pump which turned out to be a common and easy to diagnose issue.
I wouldn’t use them again.

Outstanding After Sales Service for MVHR
Outstanding after sales service, thank you! 🤩 Our MVHR unit developed an error code after a couple of years. A temperature sensor was showing as faulty. The office support team were great and Richard/Rick the engineer rang and talked us through his thoughts about what might be causing it. (A corroded wire since that side of the unit is exposed to the incoming elements.) He explained how to remove the front panel, access the sensor, check/repair the wire and generally give an internal clean up. He was spot on with his advice and I was able to get the unit back up and running without an engineer call out. He did also offer to talk us through the process in real time on the phone, if we needed it. What a total star!

Excellent response time and service.
Response time, diagnosis and fix were excellent. Our air source heat pump decided to stop working overnight. 21 degrees provided a 1st class service and within a couple of hours of contacting them the fault was identified and fixed.

Heat Pump and UFH
We used 21 Degrees for our heat pump installation and underfloor heating connection. They did exactly what they promised, stuck to the timelines, and met every expectation.
There were a few issues during the process absolutely normal due to the complexity of the work, but they fixed everything quickly and professionally, making the whole process stress free.
Tom, Josh, Matt, Dan, Alfie and Charlie were all brilliant — skilled, friendly, and easy to have around.
Highly recommend, and we’ll definitely use them again in the future.

Good but poor organisation in ordering
Windows seem very high quality but terrible organisation in the ordering process. We ended up with windows with completely different glazing bar configurations. Although this was shown on the quote it was far from obvious as each window is on a different page. 21 should really be checking and providing some elevations or even just summary picture of windows beside each other to avoid such a mistake in the future.

Expensive!
Engineer was excellent although couldn’t clean out the capsule as he doesn’t carry the seals, (so just drained the water), spent 1 hour 45 minutes checking etc. so roughly works out at £100/hour so extremely expensive for a local company! Will be looking at more competitive rates next year!

3 phase battery install needed
3 phase battery install needed. The surveyor was excellent, went through the options, benefits and drawbacks for differing systems. Once we had decided on the Sig Energy system, the only delay was getting permissions from the relevant regulators.
Installation was trouble free and, despite being in a busy part of the house we hardly knew they were there. Had one small hiccup with a solar inverter but they stayed on site and put that right. Siting of the battery had been carefully considered by the surveyor and my fear that we would be stuck with a battery outside the front of the house did not happen as it is discreetly placed under a carport.
The control app from sig needs setting up although most of that was done in the commissioning by 21 Degrees but once set, it just gets on with it!
We have already seen savings on our electricity costs and this bodes well for the use of our new heat pumps (also 21 degrees).
A very neat and tidy job. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

21 Degrees home Solar and Battery installation
21 Degrees recently installed solar panels and a battery system for us. The work was undertaken diligently and to a very high standard by two of the companies technicians, and the finished install looks extremely neat, and is working effectively.
The whole process from start to finish was streamlined and efficient.

21 Degrees installed an 8kW air source…
21 Degrees installed an 8kW air source heat pump in my mother's home. They had a good service to do the heat loss calculations and a really pragmatic approach to thinking about where to locate the heat pump. When it came to the installation the team were friendly and got the job done done with little mess. After a few hiccups after commissioning they got it all working and my mum is pleased with how it's all working.
However, throughout the process the communication has been poor: most emails were never answered. Their sales team quickly pick up the phone but if you have a question about the installation, when it is going to happen etc. you will be lucky to get a reply. In their defence, when there is a problem with the heating, they do respond quickly which is encouraging for ongoing service.
Importantly, and what has led to my score of 2, is that the paperwork has not been done and there has been no communication as to when it will be done. Really important documents such as the power company confirming it is ok to install the heat pump, the electrical safety certificate, and the warranty for works have not been provided. Without these documents it could be challenging to sell the house should she choose to in the future and we may need to retrospectively apply for them and pay for them (e.g. the electrical certificate) in order to ensure such problems don't happen. I have chased three times but they do not answer.
While their installation team worked well, their office function does not seem up to it and you should think carefully about using them - frustratingly paperwork does matter.
