Ordering was easy. Price was good if you disregard the tariff. Shipping is very slow.
Everything worked well - delivery, packaging and order all complete and on time.

Summary: 1001Hobbies is a borderline fraudulent outfit, and the customer ratings on that website are an outright scam. Two stars, since I did receive one item as ordered, and partial refunds, though with a great deal more time and effort than was warranted.
I placed four orders with 1001Hobbies. The first one was fine, ordered Sept. 1, 2025, dispatched 2 weeks later.
Second one was place Sept. 2; the website indicated that it would be in stock and dispatched in early October. By end of November, it had not been delivered, and I cancelled the order. 1001 refused a full reimbursement; the postage would not be refunded (though obvs. nothing was sent), and they wanted to charge an 25% inconvenience fee. This is illegal under EU regulations, as it puts an undue burden on wronged consumers (i.e. fraudulent terms and conditions). Although I pointed this out, I only received a partial refund, though within an acceptable 2 weeks.
The third order was placed Sept. 8th. The website indicated delivery would be mid-October. I cancelled the order Nov. 30. After dozens of messages, I have still not received a refund. My account page now says "expected delivery Nov. 5th, 2025"
The fourth order was placed on Oct. 25 (I had still not gotten wise to them). Nov. 4th I received a notice that the item was now in stock, and to be dispatched right away. I cancelled the order when it still had not arrived Nov. 30th. It took almost a dozen messages, complaints about the 25% "service" fee, and three months until the amount was reimbursed in mid-February, this time at least in full.
Also, do not be fooled by the 4-star customer rating on the 1001Hobbies website, as this is a scam. The ratings are run by a company called b-b-g. To submit a rating, you need to submit the reference number of your order, but none of my reference numbers are accepted. This is after some sleuthing on how to submit an order in the first place. A very convenient to keep negative reviews to a minimum.

Trustpilot sent me the reply from 1001 and gave me the opportunity to edit my reply. Thanks for the opportunity to go from 2 stars to one.
On the same date I posted the review, I also reminded 1001 of the outstanding refund for my order from early September. I had cancelled the order Nov. 30, 2025, reconfirmed the cancellation in February, and had received a *confirmation* of the cancellation, and an assurance of a timely refund.
Instead of receiving the refund, I received an "order confirmation" on June 16th - a full 10 months after placing the order, and a full 7 month after they confirmed the cancellation.
The order has since arrived, but I am sending it back, because Christmas presents don't go over well at the end of June.
1001's reaction reconfirms my initial assessment that this company is a fraud.

Incredible selection of GSI Creos Mr. Hobby products. Was able to find exactly what I needed when all the local and online shops in the US are out of stock. No issues at all with shipping from country to country.

Horrible experience shopping from you. I ordered a back pack that was supposed to be delivered within the same week but 2 weeks later I never received my order and I get a email message from you saying it's out of stock AND you don't deliver to my country (US) as of 2025. Awful service! Didn't even offer a refund, tried to give me store credit for a business that doesn't deliver to my country(US). I am currently disputing the charge with my bank so I can get my money back since you couldn't even do that, absolutely criminal.

I will say that they do not monitor their emails, I never got a response. But everything came brand new and my box was not smashed up just a little dented. It made it to my house safely. I didn't have problems getting my package delivered, I saw there was a couple reviews from somebody said they had to go to a shipping hub to get order. I would definitely buy from them again, it was hassle-free My only negative would be that they just don't check their emails or respond back

The communicating was great; price was decent. Something went wrong with the shipping/packaging. When I received it, the box was open from mishandling. That is not the company fault per se, but the item that was inside was at least 2-3 times smaller than the box, meaning it jumbled around inside it the whole time. Had the box fit the item, it might not have come open.

I waited over six weeks with zero communication about my order. After getting tired of the silence, I reached out to cancel. Conveniently, right after that, they suddenly shipped the item and claimed it was too late to cancel.
This feels like a tactic to avoid cancellations rather than provide actual service. Extremely disappointing experience and poor customer support.
