We have an epson ET 1810

We have an epson ET 1810. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, weeks go by and then it decides that it doesn’t want to connect to the internet, I spend hours trying to fix it, the epson printer connection tool is USELESS and makes things WORSE. I hate EPSON with a PASSION for all the stress they have caused me

We bought a focus titanium 2012…

We bought a focus titanium 2012 automatic and were very happy with the car, although we did have to get a new gearbox. The latest problem is: the car leaks inside and the carpets are soaked! After some online research, this is a very common problem! I found some YouTube videos on how to fix the problem, I had to scrape out some old sealant used by Ford and what do I find? A hole where the bodywork joins at the top of the boot hinge on the left and right!! I used sealant but we don’t know yet if that has solved the problem. In the meantime we had to take the car to a mechanic who has drilled a little hole in the footwells to drain the water. WHAT THE HELL WERE FORD THINKING WHEN THEY DESIGNED THIS CAR. I HOPE THE DESIGNER HAS SINCE BEEN SACKED.

I’m the landlord of a property

I’m the landlord of a property, and British Gas were just becoming unaffordable, so I looked around and found plus heat, who were significantly cheaper. I was anxious at first because the price seemed just too good to be true, and I was anxious about the mandatory annual gas safety inspection (i was afraid of being let down and huge hidden costs afterwards). To my delight (and surprise), the inspection went ahead without a hitch and there were no hidden costs. If this service continues, and the costs stay much lower than British Gas, I will stay with plus heat for the foreseeable future.

As per usual

As per usual, I switch to a cheaper insurance company, I cancel the policy, the person on the phone says “we will email your proof of no claims”, I said “you say this every time and you never do”, surprise surprise they didn’t.

Booked the week before the showing

Booked the week before the showing, unfortunately my daughter became poorly so couldn’t make it. I asked if I could reschedule, it was a flat no, I would have to purchase tickets again. Really Cineworld? Is this the best you can do? Why not issue a voucher so I can rebook. You’ve had the money

My recent experience with Kirsty Hamer was very good, however, overall, I’m not happy with HLM as a whole for raising the service charges to a ridiculous level, (in response to various works), then keeping them there.

We were switched from SSE to OVO in…

We were switched from SSE to OVO in January 2023 without our consent. They hit us with a £3000 estimated bill right after Christmas. Our boiler had not been working for 3 months so how they came up with this figure is a mystery. We refused to pay and we complained, so the bill was put on hold. We battled with them for 8 months spending hours and hours on the phone every week, they caused us so much misery, stress, anxiety and sleepless nights, they even started to take money out of our account without even asking us or notifying us, one month £450 came out which financially crippled us, we took them to the ombudsman who gave us a measly £200 compensation, totally inadequate. They added extra stress to us and ruined our 2023, I WILL NEVER FORGIVE THEM. Thankfully we got rid and we are with a much better company now.

My recent experience with Ms Kirsty…

My recent experience with Ms Kirsty Hamer was very good, she was professional and dealt with my issue promptly with the minimum of fuss. However, my overall experience with HLM is very bad, the service charges have increased exponentially recently, mainly due to certain selfish tenants illegally dumping rubbish in the communal waste areas, the cost of which has been passed onto landlords, which has placed me personally under devastating financial pressure. HLM really need to start taking more direct action.

Initially gave me a fair evaluation of £750, which I was happy with, but I was just curious about what they’d offer me, I didn’t want to commit, just wanted a backup, I had already put the car on auto trader. Little did I know I’d start receiving pressure from them in the form of emails, giving me a deadline to sell the car to them at the agreed price, when I was already stressed out with various other pressures in my life, which they added to. The deadline passed and they dropped it to £675. I had various time wasters from auto trader, so I just thought what the hell, I’ll go with we buy any car. Booked the appointment and only found out after booking the appointment that there’s a £50 admin fee plus VAT, which I wasn’t happy about but I just wanted rid of the car. Got to the place at 1000 on a Sunday morning and even though the guy was very friendly and welcoming, he dropped the price to £475! I said someone from Facebook Marketplace had offered me £600 and I showed him, he did ring someone to try and get the price up but the answer was no. Total waste of my time, I’ll never use them again. I only put an extra star because the guy was friendly.

Tried to use the app to book a landlord…

Tried to use the app to book a landlord annual gas safety inspection, you can’t do it through the app, useless. Tried to chat online through the app, nobody available. Rang the number, nobody available so I went for the text message option. I asked for 2 Feb 2023. I got a text message back saying it had been booked for 2 Sep 22!! Completely wrong. Texted back, no answer. Every single year I get this hassle and it’s really stressful because I’m very busy. Now I have to waste MORE time to resolve this!! If you can avoid British Gas, do so at all costs.

UPDATE: I called back 2 days later wasting MORE of my time, this time I was told that only a manager can book so far in advance (2 Feb 2023). I asked “will I get some kind of email or text message confirmation?”, I was told “yes you’ll get a text”. Still waiting for a confirmation!! AND I’m in Turkey now, supposed to be on holiday relaxing, but no, I’m typing extra information on trust pilot and sending messages to British Gas on messenger, which may or may not get a response and may or may not be resolved. I feel like a volcano ready to explode and I’m on holiday. I absolutely detest British Gas with a vengeance, now they’re ruining my holiday!! There’s no way back from this. I’ll never forgive them.

I used Uswitch to switch from southern electric to EON. Massive mistake. they lure you in with cheap prices, but when we moved house, they hit us with a MASSIVE bill which we are unable to pay. Never make the same mistake as I did.

I'm sorry you're struggling with the final bill. We'll be happy to look at setting up a payment plan to help spread the balance over a more manageable period.

Is the bill based on actual meter readings or is it estimated? If it's estimated and you've readings for the day you moved out we can use these to rebill accurately. Where bills are based on actual readings, they'll reflect the amount of energy used.

When you switched to us, did you go for one of our Fixed Tariffs? If you did, the unit prices and daily standing charges won't have changed for the duration of the agreement. An increase in the amount of energy used, though, will lead to higher bills. Alternatively, using less energy will mean lower bills.

Let us know if you're interested in setting up a payment plan. As well as by phone, you can contact us online through our Live Chat service or through our social media channels. Both our twitter and Facebook streams have private messaging to protect sensitive information.
