Did some business with them, if you can call it that. I dispatched 10 hardback books which were hardly used and in good condition. I am still to receive the astronomical amount of £3.57. One was priced at £0.08p and another was not accepted but not returned. We only have their word for it that they won't sell it. All a bit suspect. I sent them an email stating that for the hassle of packing and the prices they give I will keep the rest and sell them next summer at the boot sale where I can get £0.50p each. Ziffitt is now called World of Books. Change name already. Really sus.. Unsubscribed and blocked.

Do not sell your books to this company!
They are an absolute joke.
I scanned two hardback books from my library. One was a first edition American copy of Lanark by Alastair Gray and the other was a biography of Chairman Mao.
Both books were in immaculate condition.
They offered less than £1 for both!
Give your surplus books to charity.

Most expensive book ‘not received’, sent out a box all items 50p, 20p etc but I have no use for them so don’t mind giving them away. One book was worth £4 and suspiciously wasn’t received, when it was 100% in the box when I sent it and the most valuable book

I didnt get much further than scanning when I realised what a rip off this company is. 50p for a book in perfect condition. Forget it. Better off selling on ebay or giving to charity.

Sent a complete box set of DVD s all in there wrapping in a sturdy box put in another sturdy box with plenty of wrapping protection and 4 other books valued for just over £6, then had the email .... largest sum of money was for the DVDs stating some missing/damaged so they have deposited off, no photographic evidence surprise suprise. They sent 2 emails 1st trading email stating books all in perfect condition and some hard
backs, £1.06 next day got same email offering £1 suggested they donate to Children in Need, my other sought after boxed DVDS will be donated to charity as will any books. Recommend You Do not use this company see reviews.

Absolute crooks! Most of my cd’s were rejected, saying they were scratched or missing covers which was an utter lie. Allegedly disposed of with no proof!
Give them to charity instead.

Out of 1000 items scanned in, they could only buy 10 😂 don't waste your time guys.

All my disks I sent are original and in perfect condition yet after recieving them they then canceled payment for 5 stating Not original disks which is a complete lie. They then state that they disposed of them. Dishonest company sell your disks on eBay don't bother with this lot.

I agree with other reviews, most items I scanned were rejected. Of the ones accepted 2 came up with the wrong title, no doubt to be rejected on receipt. 2 books registered twice and there is no way to remove from the basket. Won't waste my time again. Going to the charity shop!

Dreadful, simply Dreadful. Spent way too much time having rejection after rejection. It's simply not worth the time and effort. May as well donate to a local charity. Never, ever again.

I would not recommend this company. In my second trade they told me a book was not included in the box. The book was big and I know 100% it was included. When I inquired I was asked my trade number and then just sent a stock reply that did not even mention the missing book! There was also a brand new book in the trade which was rejected for some reason! It’s a shame as I would have used them and recommended as the concept is good in theory but completely inept in practice .

Only left a 1-star because I couldn't leave a zero. better offers than Music Magpie so I thought I would give them a try. Sent a parcel of 45 CDs to them of which a couple were rejected - OK that's good and encouraged me to send a second parcel. BIG mistake. The second parcel (again with 45 CDs, in roughly the same condition as the first parcel) turned out to have 30 odd CDs which were 'unacceptable' - how amazing ! This really is robbery without the masks. Steer well clear of these people - they will steal from you.

I only looked at the Trust Pilot reviews after agreeing a sale and parcelling up all the books, and I almost backed out to use a similar alternative service that has lots of good reviews! But I decided to go ahead and, in the event, I couldn't fault Ziffit.

The courier arrived as arranged (they use a courier with a 4.6 TP score) and within a couple of days I'd received the agreed amount in full without any quibbling.

I sent 14 books and the amount received was only small, £5.65 in total (some were only valued at 10p and the highest only 67p), but the point is that I received the amount as stated in the app (and all those books can be enjoyed by someone else now, with a little reward for me).

One of the books had been written on inside the front cover (a happy birthday message) and one had a slightly damaged front cover, but still none of the valuations were reduced.

I also note that Ziffit's courier has a better reputation than the one the competitor I was considering uses.

So, whilst there seem to be a lot of people who've been unhappy, I have no complaints at all, only a 5 star review would be fair. Perhaps Ziffit have ironed out earlier problems?

So I decided to download ziffitt to try and declutter my collection of dvds, cds and books I have collected over the years, of which I have hundreds so thought it would be a good idea to try it out. The app itself is easy to use, scan the items barcode add to basket and away you go! My gripe is that out of the approx 60 dvds I scanned ziffit would only accept 4 at a total of 60p (15p each item) so I gave up! Seems to be the same with books - scanned about 20 and they only wanted 3! So far I have 7 items in my basket at a grand total of £1.24 and a huge pile of unwanted books and dvds! So I have given up! I really didn't expect to make hundreds but am left feeling a little disappointed and that it really isn't worth it!!

Sounded like a great idea as I had books and CDs to get rid of. The 1 star is for the app itself as it's really easy to set up and use. My experience after that is not so good. Altogether I made 3 trades with Ziffit, all resulting in having to email the company as something had gone wrong. Trade 1....the Inpost tracking did not update and it looked like my parcel was lost. After numerous emails it arrived but quite a few books were rejected for quality reasons. I didn't query this at the time as I thought I must have missed the reasons that they gave. However, trades 2 and 3 both stated that numerous items were either "not received" when I knew that I had checked and double checked they were in the box, or rejected for quality reasons when I knew they were ok. Both times I emailed customer services and they backed down immediately and payed for the missing/rejected items. Clearly there is an issue here that needs to be addressed as it seems this is not just my experience. I have now deactivated my account and deleted the app. Please avoid. Music Magpie has been a much better service

Ziffit use DPD who -twice- failed to collect the books during the advised delivery window and - twice - messaged us to say they’d arrived at the house but had been advised the parcels weren’t ready. Wasted two mornings waiting in. I’d rather donate to charity- which is what I’m now going to do.

More scammers unfortunately. Only paid out 50% of what i sent in. I wouldn’t have sent in anything I would not consider sellable condition so it’s actually offensive to imply i have sent in bad quality books expecting money for them. The business model of these online trade stores has deteriorated into offering a price on the app then essentially stealing the items once you’ve posted them in by significantly lowering the value. In this case you don’t even get the rejected books back meaning there is no incentive whatsoever for them to pay out the full price, just pay half so it doesnt look to obvious or attract the attention of the law. Thankfully it was only a few quids worth of books i would’ve simply thrown away anyway if i couldn’t sell them, so it doesnt really matter, but i’ll be deleting the app and never using them again. There’s not a doubt in my mind they will sell all the books they bought off me for 10 times what they paid me and sell the books they stole off me for about £5 each. 100% scammers in what must be the most dodgy industry around now, it’s a grey area between a legit business and thievery.

Awful ! - Initial price quoted from their app scans was no where near the final payout. Perfectly good, used items were rejected at there quality control process resulting in a payout only 20% of the original quote and an email saying 'sorry we cant return any of them' - AVOID!

General gripe about ziffit - the all too frequent books 'not received'. They surpassed themselves today claiming 10 of the 20 books sent were 'not received' after they had been sitting in the warehouse for a good week. One book was rejected due to 'damage'. I always photograph the books in the box before sealing and when claimed as 'not received', I send them the pics clearly showing the titles among the accepted books. So far this has resulted in an 'in this instance we will send the additional funds' so worth remembering. I await their response to see if I have a similar result today. This is not a problem ever experienced with their competitors!

Absolute waste of time. Offer next to nothing for your books and 80% they won't take.
Don't waste your time, charity a much better home😡
