I booked this company for a deep clean when moving into a new place and made it clear I wanted the flat completely clean. Unfortunately, the service did not meet that standard.
The flat wasn’t heavily dirty to begin with so this should have been an easy deep clean, yet after three hours in a small studio flat, much of the place was still dirty.

While some mold in the shower was addressed, the shower door and sink still had dirt, and the rest of the bathroom, shelves, and window sills were not even cleaned. Areas like behind the microwave, the microwave itself, the chairs and the fridge were left untouched. The oven was not fully cleaned and spiderwebs remained on the ceilings. The rest of the place was left how I left it. I had to clean every surface myself after they left.

I sent photos and videos showing the poor cleaning shortly after to show these issues and the company initially admitted that this “was not the standard they aim to deliver.” They even offered to send someone back, but by that point I had already started cleaning everything myself. However, once I requested a refund, they changed their stance and claimed the cleaning had been “carried out according to our checklist and standards”. They even brought up the mold, which I hadn’t mentioned, as evidence the cleaning was “done properly,” despite the rest of the place still being dirty.

I chose this company based on positive reviews, but my experience was far from that. I would not recommend them.

Their response doesn’t change the fact that the deep clean wasn’t done properly. They even offered to send someone back, admitting it wasn’t up to their standards, which proves my point. I refused because I’d already lost trust in their service. The flat was small and not very dirty, yet the job was rushed and incomplete. Despite acknowledging the poor quality, they have still refused to issue a refund, which is completely unfair given the circumstances. Instead of taking accountability, they keep repeating that it met their “checklist.” It didn’t. I paid for a deep clean and never received it, and I still haven’t received my refund. I wouldn’t recommend this company.

A Reply to the Company’s Comment:
The issue isn’t about declining a re-clean, it’s that the original deep clean wasn’t done properly. I already sent you photos and videos taken after your cleaners left, and I can provide screen recordings showing the timestamps to prove this.

It’s unreasonable to deny a refund when the service clearly wasn’t delivered as agreed. I paid for a proper deep clean and didn’t receive one.

Zerago cleaning service is a trusted company. I love the service that was rendered and I would highly recommend.
