Amazing Customer Service and Product
I pre ordered a figure and even though there were delays, which were not yokaiju's fault, they kept me updated. I received my item but discovered that one of the hair pieces was missing the part to connect it to the head. They were quick to reply over messenger and send me out a replacement, which was perfect.

Really great experience
I came across Yokaiju when looking for a Vegeta figure from Dragon Ball that I haven’t been able to find anywhere brand new. I saw the figure was for £25 (close to its RRP), checked on TrustPilot and decided to order it.
It has been a great experience! I made my order on the 9th, received shipping notification on the 10th (though I didn’t see a tracking number), and received my items through Royal Mail today (13th).
The items were packaged very nicely, there was definitely care put into it, and I even received a thank you card with my name in Japanese! Lovely touch, really appreciated.
All in all, it was an extremely smooth experience ordering through Yokaiju. They are a family owned small business, so please do support them whenever you can as they clearly are passionate about anime culture, and based on all other reviews place great care on every single order! Also, really reasonable pricing.
Really really happy, will recommend to everyone I know, and will definitely be a repeat customer.

I seriously love this place
Bought another amazing box of sweet treats and can definitely say Yokaiju is the online place to go for authentic Japanese goodies at amazing prices. Love the Uzaki-chan clear file and would love to see more of her products in-store. Also hope to see more Dydo jelly coffee in stock soon because my family are addicted to it haha

This has to be our saddest Sunday in a while! We're sorry to read your review, but it doesn't seem to take a few key things into account:
1. You ordered one of our Kaiju Crates plus two more items (a Funko Pop and a ceramic mug). Usually we would send the Kaiju Crate out in a smaller, more traditional ‘snack mailer’ box, but because of the additional items, we packaged everything into something more suitable (a double thickness cardboard box). Your Funko Pop and mug were both hand-wrapped in bubble wrap, then wrapped in packing paper, with the sweets and drinks placed around them to minimise movement and potential damage. I’m sorry if you specifically wanted the snacks in a separate box, but no one has ever wanted that before, so we didn’t expect it would be a problem.
2. You purchased our Large Kaiju Crate which includes 9 snack items and a drink. You said that you received a ‘small number’ of items, but you received the number of items advertised.
3. You said that the items received weren’t worth what you paid for them, but we are dealing with sweets imported via air from Japan - not from a local shop. The price you paid also includes postage and packaging. If we say that on average, each of the ten items cost us as a business around £1 (some cost a little less, some cost quite a bit more), then their total ‘cost’ value sits at £10. The box we send everything out in costs us £1, and Royal Mail charges us £3.10 for the postage. That takes us to a total ‘cost’ value of £14.10, leaving our profit for the snacks box (not including the branded tape, sticker, personalised note, and the time taken to carefully pack it all) at around £3.89.
4. Your review also seems to assume that we are a big, established corporation, taking in large profits, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. We may have spent weeks designing things like our website, and all of the things to package your items nicely, but we’re a small family business run by three people. As I’m sure the profit margins you’ve just learned about will tell you, we do this more out of love for anime and the community around it than we do to compete with Jeff Bezos. For a business as small as ours, reviews like this are very damaging.
I hope that all of this information gives you a better understanding of why we packed your items the way that we did, and why they’re priced the way that they are. I also hope whoever they were intended for still enjoyed them, too.
I must say that it’s a shame that you didn’t contact us before leaving a review. We’re devastated to think that you weren’t happy with your purchase, and if you’d sent us an email we would have done everything we could to make it right.
